Hank recently had yet another set back recently, the loss of his wife. Prayers for Hank.
Yeah he's had a very rough year with the loss of his youngest daughter Katie in June of last year and now his wife . The last 10 months have had to be very tough on Bocephus.
You know he's been through alot in his life , it makes a man hard and sometimes a man can come across as unfeeling are heartless . And I view Hank as a hard man , but even the strongest of men can be brought to their knees .
All I can say is I don't share Hank's political views , but I like his music and have enjoyed his music for years and have enjoyed his concerts , the man puts on one hell of a concert .
He literally released an album on the day she died he is a piece of human trash. Not to mention he didn’t actually raise or have anything to do with his son Hank 3 growing up.
He lost a wife also? I know his daughter was killed in a car wreck. I didn't know about his wife.
I'm proof of that. I lost my wife and kids this year. Nobody can stand that.
@@kd78orangerangerpete79 Prayers your way.
I'm glad someone on RUclips is giving hank Williams Jr the respect he deserves
HE"S NOT DEAD!!!!
@@Rx3Jrnever said he was?
He's a Maga Moron
Thank you for this tribute. Hank is one of a kind. No one will ever take his place. I lost my son the same time he lost his daughter. And now his wife of over thirty years has been suddenly taken away. I just keep praying for him and Sam that God gives them the strength to heal and carry on.💕
Yet he could have cared less about his own son. Typical.
@@Cheeseburger.Launch.Sequence What do you mean?
@@KillerDude-gz9tb He literally refused to financially support his own son. He certainly wasn't there for him. Waylon Jennings was kinder and did more for Hank III.
Hank Williams JR is a classic sociopath. An atypical American Conservative.
Thank you all for loving my dad’s music, we love you all
God bless Hank Williams and his family Jackie McAdams 16 ❤❤❤
You can't fill someone's else's shoes, you have to find your own way in this life. My mom loved Hank Sr. Music ,and I love Hank Jr's music. I'm not sure he would have the fame he has if he tried to stay in his daddy's lane. Proud to be a Hank Jr aka Bocephus fan💕
I love both of their songs. They were both fantastic. I'm sure if Hank the 3rd had wanted to continue music and was in fact talented, he could have been fantastic as well for his own reasons. But singing isn't the life for everyone.
@@ashleymendat9766 uhhhh????? 3 is a musician aswell
I love them all but I think Hank III is my favorite 😉
@@theplumber9427
You just can't wrong with the Williams men 😊
Your right although at that time fans wanted him to sing his daddy's songs , but Nashville was changing and although I believe great music will transcend time , it was still Hank Sr's music .
We as fans were very fortunate that Bocephus didn't want to be a Hank Sr clone and wanted to do his own music . So many people still wanted to make money off of the fans love of Hank Sr that they we're willing to use Bocephus to get it and that includes his mother .
In interviews he once said , that when he fell 500 feet down AJAX mountain that Sr came to him and told him to play do things his way , play his own style of music .
Seen alot of great concerts , but Bocephus by far puts on the best concerts I've ever been to .

Bocephus was kind of like a hero to me growing up, especially in my teens. I saw him twice in concert and it was amazing. I am so sorry that he lost one of his daughters and his wife. I cannot fathom what he has gone through. He was pretty much the one that started Rock and Roll Country music in my opinion and I thank him for that. God Bless.
As a Cuban American I love Hank Williams Jnr’s Music. I’m so glad he’s still around.
One of the best Country Legends in Country Music.😇 Thats awesome that another Country Legend Johnny Cash & June Carter Cash was by his side after his fall, and helped him after as well as the great Waylon Jennings!❤️😇

😀 I never get tired of listening to Hank's music
I was so impressed with this documentary. I've been the #1 fan of HWJR since 1981; at least with respect to his music and talents,.so I didn't think I'd learn anything new but did. Thought that I'd never be a fan of an artist like that again until Morgan Wallen came along. One thing I don't remembering you hitting on, but you may have, was that in 1974 when he attempted suicide, the divorce to his first wife, mother of Sheldon, aka Hank III, was very devastating for him, and that album he was working on in 1975 Hank Jr and Friends was so eery in some ways knowing what occurred next. There was a song that he wrote about him going on a trip to Montana and just taking his boots and jeans along and that he wished she could go but knows she can't , and then there was his cover of Toy Caldwell's "Can't You See" where there is a lyric that he's going to "climb a mountain; the highest mountain; going to jump off; ain't nobody going to know", and then a few months later he fell off Ajax Mountain in Montana.
Makes me wonder if he hadn't tried to commit suicide instead of "falling off" the mountain.
Hank Jr has always been one of my faves along with Waylon. That's just good music.
Hank jr ,
GOAT of THE GOAT !!!
Thank you bocephus for my growing up memories with your songs.

I remember him being on the radio/tv a lot when I was very little in the 80s. I became a big fan of Hank the Third in college and really got into outlaw country and Hank Williams Sr. I've really come to appreciate his 70s/80s style in the last few years and I had no idea he had such a powerful life. Great music.

Huge Hank Williams Jr fan. Thanks for everything
Thanks for loving my dad’s music
I've always loved listening to Hank Williams, Jr. I didn't know that he had felt like he had to sing his daddy's songs all the time, and that it nearly drove him to suicide. I'm glad he sought treatment and the Dr told him the truth as to how it was up to himself to play/sing his own choice of music and songs! I knew he was nearly killed during the climbing process, and thankful he survived to produce more wonderful music. I hate it that he's been through so much tragedy in his lifetime. I've heard God doesn't give you anymore than you can handle. Hank, Jr has handled himself very well, coming back from each event to be stronger, and continues performing today!

Hey I love Hank Williams Junior he is such a good singer and everything I bothered him and since I was a kid and I I really enjoy him hit songs
Have seen Hank Jr twice in concert & never disappointed, his songs & story are what country music is rotted in,like him or not, doesn't matter, you can't deny his status as a country music icon & his music speaks to the common blue collar hard working American
I saw him in 1969, Cobo Hall Detroit with the Original Drifting Cowboys. Johnny Cash, June Carter and the Carter Family were on the bill too. Jr was decked out in a pink and black suit, and he sounded great. Let me tell you, even at that age he was an accomplished instrumentalist too. He made his daddy proud, no doubt of that and he did it on his own terms.

Thank God we still got Hank Junior we have lost so many of the greats through his music I learned it's okay to be an outlaw God bless him
this just popped up on my home page. i met Hank Jr back around 1980 or 81, in Lorton, va, at the home of Donna Dixon, who later married Dan Ackroyd, anyway, I was close friends with Donna’s sister, Sherrie, and she introduced me to Hank, who was in their pool in the back yard. He told me to go and get a bathing suit and join them but i had no idea who he was, even though I knew who Hank Sr was. I didnt put 2 and 2 together. i was only 18 or 19 and didnt know much about country music at the time. So i went home and told my mom, who sang at the Dixon’s “Hill Billy Heaven” time to time, about this and she was shocked that i didnt know who Hank Jr was and missed a great opportunity to get to know him better.

Bocephus is an inspiration and a true individual. Managed to come out of his childhood relatively unscathed (from the effects of both parents pressures). And cut his own path in life and the music industry.
The fact he's got some rock hard DNA helped too. I mean, the man fell off a mountain and landed on his head. Which caused his brain to basically fall out the hole ..and it needed to be held inside his skull. And he pretty much 'walked away' from that. Impressive (with a touch of luck).
