@luhhtee2547 I would guess because Sonic always wins tourneys. People eventually want to see an upset and a new champion. So they start cheering for whoever beats the one they used to cheer for. You see this happen in all comp games.
Sonic is such a prevalent force of nature in the FGC, its rare to see him lose let alone get Perfected twice over in a *Grand Finals* set.
Shit the Soul Calibur community started wishing for Linkorz' downfall because he was straight tearing the scene up for a long while. It's just something that happens to the best of us.
Siegfried is such a joy to watch confusing the opponent with those stances, Linkors seemed in sync with those switches like if he was dancing and ended it with that fatal combo, such beauty and technicality.
@a HERO that doesn’t know what protect means I'm like that with yoshimitstu. Known his moveset set since socal2. That's when I started playing the soul calibur series.

That last round was the most one sided 15 seconds of fighting games I've seen in years! Shit was UMVC3-like. How does this kid sleep at night knowing he did that to someone?
Yeah I agree. It was so unfair. It should've just straight up went to Sonicfox. In fact, no more competitors ever, Sonicfox should always get an immediate win whenever he enters a tournament.

Here's the GREAT thing about Soul Calibur. GRAND FINALS, and BOTH of the chracters (Azwell and Sigfried) are generally considered "low teir." That's the signature of a good game, where player skill matters most and any character in the right hands can look impossible to beat.

I heard in his interview that he actually has played all fighting games growing up. So this definitely not new to this game. Besides that this is a new game regardless of legacy please show some respect to the winner.

Guys I am not disrespecting the winner I actually started playing Siegfried after watching him destroy everyone with 2-0 so again I think he was pretty cool to watch I’m just saying it’s rare to see sonic lose since he is always so oppressive in all the games he plays but he is still human he can lose

@@Roshea ah yeah definitely, watch tekken tournaments and then watch this again, tekken fights are much harder and more balanced, there is a lot of side stepping and much harder combos, the damage is also very balanced.

Does SonicFox play every f*ckin fighting game? Man, he's like one of the top players in MK, DBZF and SC6. This guy is absolute madlad and I'm here struggling on learning one single fighting game. :(
Yeah, SonicFox is legit a top five player on the FGC. I'm best at MK11 and BBTag then again I am a filthy Noob and Scorpion main, but Outside that I'm actually a Ermac and Reptile main. BBTag I main Ruby and Gourdo. Overall SonicFox is too good of a player when it comes to fighting games. Only difference in his skill is that you can see he is better at 2-D fighters over 3-D fighters.

it’s kinda easier to transfer to another game when you already played a similar game. Normally the majority of fighting games all play the same, and you can carry over your knowledge of one game to the other. Kinda like if you’re really good at COD you can transfer those skills to any fps that plays similarly...

I know Sonic lost and believe me when I say I'm not a sonic nuthugger. With that said, I find it fascinating that he is good at every fighting game he plays. I know there are levels to everything but it's crazy how he conquers shit, like everything he plays, he finds ways to win.

Is this before the game came out? Because siegs main move link is spamming which is 3b or While rising b is like -20 or more on block. its pretty unsafe and its going unpunished. I would know because i labbed sieg and found its unsafe
Right when the game came out so even if it's unsafe, Sonicfox for sure wasn't able to learn the frame data for all of the characters

is guard impact not viable or what I dont think anyone used it once! Any who yes Siegfried/Nightmare are off the hook in this game! Still early to say whats what but they are strong as F**K! Can't wait till EVO to see what happens once people are more familiar with the game.
you have to be perfect with guard impact as it can leave you open if you do it slightly early or too late. Its idea to use moves that have guard impact installed in them as opposed to a manual one but still difficult to pull off while the matches are going and playing better players
