- It's official! I finally have documents for my 1995 Mercedes S124 wagon rebuild! In this video, we'll prep the "Rat Wagon" for the road, drive her to the Tag Agency and hopefully get a license plate. This 1995 Mercedes W124 wagon build has been a crazy journey, but all the hard work is paying off!

I believe the thing over the rear view mirror may be a cell phone. I owned a 1995 S320 and it had some similarity to the button nomenclature, but my handset was in the center console, buttons on the dash.
Wouldn't it be the garage door opener instead ? This option is always located near the rear view mirror in MB

Mike, keep the Volvo, sell the ratwagon. Great job getting the RW on the road and legal!! All the other stuff should be good content, and simple to fix. The Volvo can be amazing though.

What’s he been through??
You may have a vacuum leak causing the center vent to stay closed. Check the vacuum distributor block, it may be cracked and leaking. There is an ongoing thread about the block and the JB Weld DIY repair on Benz World...

Seriously one of the best looking and best built cars of all time! This is a proper forever car!! And this coming from a Lexus guy, got 330,000 miles on my Lexus and I love it to death, but mad respect for these Benz ! Also that 850 wagon! I just drove my buddies 850 wagon full of stuff out to Tulsa from San Diego! Helping him move. He drove my Lexus haha. Now I get to drive me Lexus back to California ❤

Turns out nice! Use both cars for a ride to byars and then you'll know what to keep. If you had offered to old owner 200 bucks for the title he might've searched better... Anyway extra neat ride!

If you don't need to keep a wagon for anything in particular (hauling parts, cars, pets, kids) just sell them and work your way up to a car that is easier to find parts for or isn't a nightmare to work on. It's funny to see you get mad, but it can't be good for your health lol.

Oh boy, I've been waiting for this one, she looks so majestic and elegant. Yes more external shots showing the beautiful Mercedes in motion. Great work Mikey, and all for the measley sum of under $1000. Definitely keep this one,the Mercedes engines and drivetrain are unburstable, the volvo transmissions are fragile and prone to gearbox ECU maladies. You'll always find another volvo but these Mercedes are being covetted now so people are holding on to them.

Buttons above the mirror were for the original factory analog phone. Was really an expensive option.

I would keep the Rat Pack Mercedes Benz station wagon and sell all the other ones. Use some of the profits to fix the rat-wagon and the remainder to get a truck for towing.
