- The "Turdo" wagon lives! In this video, I'll show you how I was able to get my 1997 Volvo 850 T-5 wagon restoration moving again. I'll show you how to change the CV Axles and how to replace the alternator. Then we'll take the Volvo rebuild for a test drive!

I love hearing that realization in your voice , that you will have to do all that work over again if that junkyard alternator turns out to be crap, and then trying to speak what you want to happen into existence. You should be a motivational speaker. Hope that used electronic part lasts longer than the original. Great video! (BTW I tried really hard not to laugh when you destroyed your shifter.) :P

I feel for you on that seized CV axle, I just had to replace the rear hub on a clk and ended up buying a 10-ton puller from HF and even then it needed some fire-based coersion to get the axle separated from the hub. Thanks for the video!

I stopped using Rock auto years ago. They rarely got things right. It ended up being quicker and cheaper to just get one of the box stores to order the part.

I get lots of Randy's videos and other RUclipsrs just not yours. I actually have to search for yours specifically every time. The original bearing that came out had a cooper looking seal around it bu the new one did not appear to. Did you swap it over or is is just a different design ?

Being that i lived in sweden and had a Vovlo 850 as a first car, where the volvo badge is on the side is where the side indicator is in europe :) so nice to see theese put back on the road again

I had a Volvo 850 T5 Sedan and loved it.. gave it to my mom (she really needed a ride) and she didnt take care of it.. I really wanted it back but she junked it before I got a chance.. enjoy it :)
I'm not a fan of Volvos. They are big and heavy gas guzzlers (europe standards)... But content is relly good, nice save this car!
Only drivers side has a clip, right side no clip for fixing inside transaxle.
