Such a pleasure to watch those two guys. No pressure, calm faces, always respecting and congratulating each other after a fight. That's the way to compete!
12:03 - 12:05 I love how both commentators are literally speechless there and all you can hear afterwards is one of them letting the air out in disbelief. Crazy finals.
I'm a Smash player, I never got into more standard fighting games. Even so, watching this top 8, and Tokido's loser's bracket all the way to this huge reset victory was extremely exciting! The clutch parries, the comeback rounds, the ending with a fucking PERFECT. What a beautiful game to watch sometimes.
@goggles789 original comment from an original name. 😎👉👉 ... Also for any other Smash fans: Nintendo sucks, play Rivals, Tekken or Guilty Gear. Hell, play Soul Calibur if you wanna knock people off stage so much
Really think infiltration and tokido are both dope players but it was awesome seeing tokido finally get one from infiltration and in the most clutch ways
+Krizalid99 I wouldn't say let him win. I think infiltration gave up on that last round though. I think he just wasn't able to figure out Tokido and gave up the perfect at the end.
It's not free, you try playing ryu and parrying on reaction, there is a small time where you are vulnerable as the animation starts up...It's pretty hard, actually
People saying that Infiltration handed him the match need to stop. It's obvious Tokido stepped up his game since their last encounter, and that very last round proved it. Infil had already lost before it started, and Tokido just walked up and took it away from him without giving him an inch.
Tokido coming beating and coming back from Diago. Beating Haitani and finally getting that win in convincing fashion nobody deserved this win more than Tokido. His reactions and parries were the highlight of the night! Way to go Murdaface!
This is probably the 8th time I watch this video and I am convinced, this is the most amazing win I've seen so far! TokiGOD had to first, he beat DAIGO, then MOMOCHI!! Gets to the finals on the losers bracket. Starts with sick moves, then resets the bracket, gets a PERFECT in the last round, against INFILTRATION!!!
Dude, Tokido played some serious SF there! Sick Ryu, deserved victory. He was on fire! Infiltration is such a nice fella and great Nash player, in a way it was sad to see him lose.
I DID say it was only a matter of time. you all knew Tokido was slowly catching up and he was slowly but surely downloading infiltration from every match in the past.
That was the case in USFIV. They fixed that in SFV, there are no more fps drops on other stages. But still, The Grid is definitely the most competitive stage due to it's straight design.
its a shame because people who dont know much about street fighter wont really understand the depth of the game play, all they can see is an ugly non attractive stage. The only thing that might interest them are sick/flashy combos or plays being hyped by the crowd and commentators. If it were on a nicer stage its just more appealing to the eye in general and may also spark some interest in an unfamiliar watcher. You see a hot girl and instantly you're attracted right? Then you see a not so hot girl and just look the other way and move on with your day. Kinda the same thing... kinda idk if i got my point across or not but whatever lol
How to can I stop someone or the opponet cheating by making a pop-up on my TV screen such as "Broadcating your video" or "Return to RUclips" while I'm fighting with my oppenent on PS4? This blocks my view in a fight. It's a way of cheating by my opponet with Street Fight V of Sony PS4 every time I'm in a fight online. It never happens like this I play in the SURVIVAL up to 30 rounds. It bothers me so much.
Agreed. I was rooting for Infiltration, but it's awesome that Tokido won. I'm hype for the salty runback between these two! Great matches. Congratulations, Tokido! :)
I successfully did a CA parry against an online Nash twice yesterday lol you can learn so much from watching pros play. Before that I never even thought that was possible. Now I'm thinking about the possibility of parrying wake-up CAs from Kens and even Ryus lol.
you do the quarter forward motion while his dashing, so the next input comes when his dash animation finishes as a CA. Tip: You can do any inputs while in an animation. Hope that helps :D
Nash's overhead MP actually has a 22 frame start-up, even though it looks _way_ faster than Guile's (21 frames). I think Nash's hopping animation makes it harder to react to.
One of the best grand finals ever. Congratulations for Tokido, showing us that the power isn't inside the character but the player behind it. Long life to the FGC ;)
zhicheng yang LOL fucking no, watch Alex Valle Vs Daigo at SoCal Regionals 2011, or Daigo vs Momochi Stunfest 2015 This match, like the rest of SFV has shitty footsies and dumbed down gameplay
I'll burn when I see the crazy crowd like this. Tokido was at least prepared for that match, shook Infiltration visibly. He showed Daigo how to play with Ryu and gave us the best 2016 final of the SFV with a perfect finish. Tokido, Our beloved Gouki awaits you in 2017!
+Rosanne “D4rkWolf/D4rkRose” Faerwing players could use the lines on the wall and floor as I guess where to space and throw out buttons and use that to their advantage, not that I'm saying they're doing that but ya know
Why not make it so that there is an edited version of the stage for the torn. version where the lines are gone and its just a box room, it would stop any advantages to players and would mean there is more focus on the characters. It honestly wouldn't be that hard to make a tournament version via a modification, of course make it specific to only be that one modification, it doesn't change the game, make it unfair to the players, it just makes it so that its a clear fighting ground.
but both players have visual access to it, its not like there are blind players out there that have disadvantage if training stage is used. Simply put the stage is boring, I don't mind it when it comes to great play like this sense I don't break concentration during the neutral game. On top of that I think the players them self's are trying to reduce distractions
The use of the lines is super popular among Japanese players cause they play way more technical than US or EU, but they use it to measure their pokes when they practice so they know the range in all stages.
What are you talking about? SFV was a pile of crap when it came out, 16 characters were a joke and core mechanics were broken. Right now, the game is just getting better and better.
@@JoNassRasierer I don't like the core mechanics and that's my personal preference, but the competitive scene quickly became more and more of a shitfest after season 2. Right now every tournament top 16 is 80% just Rashid and Karin, before that it was just Abigail and Guile, they keep adding characters but nobody uses them in tournament. finally someone using Ryu's parry. I honestly like watching Tokido using Ryu over Daigo.
Daigo still using Ryu like SFIV, no wonder he can't go anywhere
12:03 - 12:05 I love how both commentators are literally speechless there and all you can hear afterwards is one of them letting the air out in disbelief. Crazy finals.
that sequence was anime af

6-1, prefect at the end...
+iishyxvietxboyii1 infiltration let him win
Kind of seemed that way imho. But Tokido definitely deserved the win regardless.
agreed...did you see the parries Tokido was pulling off? No way Infiltration let him win.

Tokido is the Daigo of SFV!!
Or Tokido
Tokido is really great. I remember on evo 2k10 and 2k11 he played like 5~6 games and got top 8 in all. He can play any fighting game.
Daigo is nothing compared to tokido shut up
why can't he be his own man?
dago has way past his prime. he's not even in world top 5 nomore
something was in tokidos water that enhance him in God mode. it has to be illegal lol
+ClackMan this is ryu first major tournament win. the rest was all nash, necali, and ken
+ClackMan nash 3 x (Ncr, FR, and redbull) ken 2 x (Texas showdown and stuntfest) necali (dreamhack) to be exact
Cammy, Laura, F.A.N.G, M.Bison, Karin and Chun-Li have all won majors too man
Why are you hating on Tokido so hard? Those frames arent plus dude. Nash's frames were plus, until he parried them. Give credit where credit is due.
+ClackMan lmao...that salt..lets complain about how cheap Nash is too? Atleast keep the sodium levels balanced ;)

So is Tokido the protagonist now?
Tokido is a freaking monster. Parry super on reaction, v trigger shoryuken to punish v reversal, winning with a perfect. What a beast
"I body you" -Tokido
Well, that was better than I expected. Excellent performance by Tokido, played to the max and stepped it all the way up.
I DID say it was only a matter of time. you all knew Tokido was slowly catching up and he was slowly but surely downloading infiltration from every match in the past.
im here for the parries.
Classic match! The realization of the "Fist of Wind"(風之拳)by Tokido.

i am so happy for tokido, he definitely deserves it.

EXCELLENT TOURNAMENT, EXCELLENT FINALS, EXCELLENT COMMENTARY !!!
To be honest I really enjoy when Street fighter V moved at this pace and not the pace now which is more similar to 4
Total obliteration of Infiltration

Wow, Tokido gave me goosebumps several times.
thats some 80s over the top revenge action, so hype!
Amazing matches, just a shame it's on training stage.
How is that a shame, Lol?
pros prefer the training stage because there's no extra animations in the background which can sometimes slow the game down.

That's how you level up your game. Kudos to Tokido. Can't wait to see what Infiltration comes up with next.

I feel the same. I love watching Infiltration, but Tokido is OG Akuma too.
Awesome come back from Tokido, both Tokido and Infiltration are amazing players!!

I successfully did a CA parry against an online Nash twice yesterday lol you can learn so much from watching pros play. Before that I never even thought that was possible. Now I'm thinking about the possibility of parrying wake-up CAs from Kens and even Ryus lol.
02:09 09:33 12:03 12:29
Tokido chasing you down with Akuma is one thing but the pressure you feel is entirely different when the same thing happens with Ryu.
Does anyone know if there is a specific reason Tokido and Bonchan have there buttons that way? It looks like a mixture of Sanwa and Seimitsu?
16:26 "No, he can't kill... MAYBE HE CAN KIIIILL!?!?" Lol Ultra David is the best.
9:46 god I love James Chen.
I was laughing at the exact same thing. Dude is hilarious! "On fire ladies and gentlemen...OH, never mind....."
noob here, can anyone explain how tokido input CA straight out of dash at 10:06? Was he just that fast or is there a shortcut?
you do the quarter forward motion while his dashing, so the next input comes when his dash animation finishes as a CA. Tip: You can do any inputs while in an animation. Hope that helps :D
Thank you!
10:05 - this is incredible match-up knowledge

so did tokido really level up that much or was infiltrating playing half heartedly

It was wonderful to watch this specific match.
This should go down in HISTORY!
This was the most hyped match in sf5 history.
Faaaactsss
Why are they using such a small monitor with the gamepad resting on their knees?
Something crazy in this match ! Infiltration was truly doing great during first set, then tokido went godlike !
where i can get those joystick ?.
You two used a table stick controllers right..!? It's a difficult for me to use it if I played the fighting game genre like street fighter
12:00 I love the v-trigger -> v-trigger, I was so hype at home on my couch
3rd times the charm these 2 are the best in the world in sfv just amazing to watch them play
Which country was this tournament held in?
lmao 12:41 the guy on bottom left then the girl comes in on the right.
Game 2... Parrying CA on reaction and follow up was INSANE
Man, tokido deserves this. Definitely my favorite street fighter player right now.
i am very impressed with tokidos ryu. i am a daigo fan when it comes to ryu, but tokido has changed that. nicely done.
Greatest street fighter V grand final ever!!!
Man, I can't wait for EVO and Capcom Cup...
9:34 "THAT MAN IS ON FIRE ... Oh never mind" xD
Holy crap, that was such a sick match up. Tokido really brought it and that was so cool to watch.
finally tokido!!!! sickest grand final yet
I wanna get this again now that there added a story mode, but I think I'll just wait till the turbo edition comes out.
