I learned to draft the sleeve symmetrical and just scoop out a bit in the front lower arms eye. I also had my shoulder notch 1/4” towards the front for the natural tilt of the arm. And my sleeve could have about 3/4-1.5” of ease more than the bodice arms eye. I’m enjoying your tutorials because if there’s an easier way or better fit, I’m here for it. Love the wonderful community of people on RUclips that are willing to share their craft and experience. Thank you!

I couldn't for the life of me get it right in my head, but this was an excellent explanation and much easier than trying to follow the Winifred Aldrich books, which are technically great, but hard going. I love your video's! I have sewn all my life but for the kids. I can never get anything to fit. So I bought all the fancy tools - that have been sitting here for 6 months - and can finally figure out how to use them. I also have two dress forms. Don't know how to use them. One adjusts so I am hoping I can take these tips and add them to my form and make a "me". Thanks again for your great tutorials!

Hello, very well explained. But I'm hitting a problem with the additional one inch of ease added on either side of the bicep. Now my sleeve is one inch more than the armscye on both front and back. Did I miss some part?

These may be why.
When we finished the front and back block we cut down the front armhole to the inner red line. You may have accidentally cut off the inch extension we gave the armhole at the upper bustline on the front. Please see 20:07 on this video m.ruclips.net/video/mA81wZnoa84/видео.html
A second reason maybe that you do not need the inch extension on the sleeve at the bottom of the armhole/bicep. You may need a smaller allowance e.g. half an inch. The main thing is to make sure the bodice armhole and the sleeve armhole are the same length as your armscye measurement when you measured yourself.

You could also reduce the curvature of the sleeve armhole to reduce the measurement if its bigger than your armscye measurement. It may be that you need to increase the bodices armhole curves to increase that measurment to match your armscye. You just need to ensure its not smaller than your armscye measurement. Further adjustment tips at 4:16

What is the standard distance between upper bust and bust lines
Great explanation❤️ but I’m stuck in when measured the arms eye measurement and you gave two explanations of the two ways that we could adjust it in case that it was too big or too small, I did not understand the first explanation, could you please re-explain that to me please ?🙏 I feel so stuck now🥲
Hi wonderfully created! The first way is saying that you can make the curves more curvy to increase the lengths. e.g. at 3:00 - 3:51 increase the measurements used to plot the three points a bit to make the curve greater. Do the opposite to reduce the length. I hope this helps ✨
Thanks for the vedio. The bodice was perfect. The arm hole fit exactly with that of the sleeve. My only problem is that I have very skiny arm and hand. The sleve came out very tight.
Hi wonderful, at which point was it the tightest, at the biceps, elbow or the wrist? I can relate to this, sometimes there's a fit issue somewhere 😄 Hopefully we can fix it.
@@CreatedIAm Hi, it starts from just above the elbow all the way down. the issue would be due to my figures. My wrist is less than 6". I made a new one and added 4 inches to the wrist, it worked fine. thanks a lot.
Great video, but I'm confused of the folding of the paper then dividing by 4. Is it the bicep divided by four or is it the armscye divided by 4. Can you explain this slower, please
Each side of the diagonal lines of the front and back of the sleeves divided into 4 equal parts.
