Awesome video! Quickly covers all the questions a potential buyer would likely have, and shows off the sound.
Thanks for the review.
Great video and playing by Mr. Jones.
He is such a great virtuoso. He makes the piano look pretty small.
CA901 sounds impressively bold rich and clean. I like the overall sound quality better than the LX708, just my opinion. I will have to play one to determine how it compares to my CLP785.
Were you able to play both? I’m planning on getting a CLP 785 as I prefer a bit heavier action. Also, it’s quite a bit less expensive than the CA 901, at least where I live. I do like the look of the Kawai a little better, though.
On another note, I appreciate this channel including a demo of a high level piece. Few channels do that.
@@cambodennis I was fortunate to score a CLP785 for a very reasonable price during the pandemic and at my age I'll be buried with it. I also have a Yamaha acoustic and am happy with both pianos, no offense to Kawai. If you are a young person and price is no object maybe a CA901, I would have to play one and even if I do would probably stick with what I've got.
@@midnight4109 I'm still leaning towards the CLP985 and glad to hear that you are enjoying yours. For me, a somewhat heavy action is one of the most important characteristics that I am looking for. Both the Kawai and Yamaha models are in my price range, but it's a bonus if I can save a few yen - I am in Japan.
Thnak you so much for such a brilliant informative review for this rather newish Kawai CA-901. I have been literally tossing between the Roland LX-708, the Yamahs CLP 795 and this Kawai CA-901. Roland have been on the market since 18th October 2018 and same does that Yamaha in that respect. What I seem to love about the Kawai is the fact that the information screen is rather intuitive and seems easy to navigate whilst keeping that clean look of a acoustic piano. I seem to place lots of Rachmaninov, Sain-Saëns, Poulec, Bach and Chopin to say the least. I think this would be the best option for my playing as I also love Jazz. Q. Does this Kawai CA-901 has a repertuare built in for my friends to learn? Thnak you once again and your brilliant review.
Buongiorno posso chiederle se il suono è registrato dagli altoparlanti o dalla linea interna?
I read a lot about clicking keys ...the ca901 aswell as the 701....whats up?
Kawai has had that problem with the CA99 as well.
Someone needs to teach the interviewer how to dress properly for a broadcast.
