12:59 This quest pissed me off because both end choices are to kill Niellen, even though he tells Mizlav in White Orchard that he can help with lycanthropy and Niellen didn't kill Hannah on purpose. It irks me that there wasn’t even an option to help the guy who was a victim to his condition, one that he tried and failed to cure on his own.
While I do agree that it is a shame you can't free the Niellen from his lycanthropy, I do think the option where he follows Geralt to be killed to make sense. The poor werewolf just found that he killed his beloved wife by his own hands, accident or not, thanks to his sister-in-law being jealous of his relationship with his wife. Also, Margret said that he wouldn't stop until the one reponsible for his wife's death was punished and as the one who killed her must be killed in recompense. Besides, if I'm correct Niellen doesn't remember the details of transformations and would forget about the truth that was revealed to him during the quest, so that only adds more motive to put gasoline on his pyre to ensure that he is killed for his crimes.
Nielen wanted to die at that point because of how guilty he felt. Nielen basically commits suicide by Geralt's hand. Geralt would probably feel terrible about it, but he would understand.
Fr Ultimately with the choices you’re given I think letting him kill the sister and then killing him is the right one Would be kinda outta character to let a woman like that off the hook
It brings me joy that despite I haven’t yet read any of the books, I made all of these Lore-Accurate choices in the game. I felt like the writers did a phenomenal job establishing just what kind of man Geralt is through his dialogue mannerisms and tidbits of backstory in the Witcher 3. This was enough for me to be confident in making these choices for him in game
What do you waiting for? Do it. If you wanna know more about Geralt and his friends, do it (Regis, Cahir, Melva, Dandelion, Angoulême, Cratch) more context about others characters like Yennefer, the best villain in the Witcher, Vigelforzt.
Which in the case of the Novigrad succubus in 4:40, means killing her. I disagree with Neon here, that one is guilty as fuck. Guards, medics and the notice board all say guards were killed "in recent days" and that it is a "string of murders", heavily implying the deaths didn't happen all at once but over the course of some time.
Yet the succubus only claims she "does not lie" and "does not kill without reason" and that it was "to defend herself". Makes no sense why she would expose herself to life-threatening situations every day, so either it happened all at once (unlikely, given all other evidence) or she is lying.
@@OneLastScholar Yes, but remeber that quest happens in Novigrad, which is so deep into the Eternal Fire Cult that is able to blame, lie, torture or/and kill beings that posses any little drop of magic in their body, a Succubus who killed a man in self defense is the most forgivable of crimes in a city where deaths can be (and will be) lied about who and when happened. Not impossible to find a Psychotic Succubus, but is kind of convenient the situation is.

I couldn’t keep myself from reading the next one immediately after, in fact. They’re truly like some side quests that turn out to have really good stories that we all enjoyed. I highly recommend reading them, you won’t regret it.
@@Nai-qk4vp Well, I enjoyed all of them, but I’d say "Fox Children" is my favorite, followed by "House of Glass". “Of Flesh and Flame” was really good and kinda fun too, but "Fox Children" truly stuck with me. I haven’t read "Witch’s Lament" and "Once Upon a Time in the Woods" yet, but I have high hopes for "Witch’s Lament" because of its name, I love the darker aspects of this universe

Being Geralt must be very exhausting when he has a main quest to do. He can't walk away from evil being commited if he runs into it but sometimes they're really are more important things to do. Yen at the start tells him not to be a hero and focus on finding Ciri but there's tons of quests and stuff to do in White Orchid alone
The Wild at Heart quest is one of the most interesting outcomes for me. On one hand, you could argue that Geralt would kill Niellen because he's a werewolf threatening to kill a human woman. However, every time I play through this quest, I'm always reminded of one of my favourite scenes of the entire Witcher series, specifically with first Witcher game's final boss and a very important quote from The Grand Master as Geralt towers over him with a silver sword: "That sword...is for monsters!" This is very telling of Geralt's character that we obviously know well enough at this point. And as you mentioned in regards to that specific trailer, that our Witcher is fully aware that humans can also be monsters and won't hesitate in slicing a few heads (also reminiscent of the quest with that Witcher from the Feline school in which Geralt lets the guy walk away) And exactly why I always allow Neillan to kill the sister. Because I find the end result to be a lot more interesting. I was surprised to say the least. If you do consider discussing this in a seperate video, the final scene from the first witcher game might be worth mentioning. Wonderful vid!
I remember loading an earlier save on the last one because i didn't want the werewolf to die. He had things under control untill the sister interfered. Though yeah if the player can easily pick up on the sister being a liar, no way Geralt couldn't. Interestingly when I went back you can ask a villager about them. He mentions the sister being killed by a wolf and the guy leaving the village. Seems he found out the truth eventually.
Fun fact. you can accept the sisters bribe at wild at heart and still continue the quest normally, doing this you’ll end up getting a couple extra crowns from the quest, also the added benefit of duping the sister out of a bit of crowns.
Those encounters where you kill 2-5 people to save one really got to me my first playthrough because it seemed like a numbers game, but subsequent playthroughs they made more sense that Geralt will always defend the defenseless. Killing monsters - even Human ones - to save an innocent person is just his way. I'd say that one of if not the only one I still question is the one were 3 Elves are going to kill the drug dealer who's been selling tainted fistec. That's probably the only time I let the mob kill the guy.
Can't argue with any of those. Just a shame I never get the Succubus decoction that way. I was going to mention the choice about a certain Doppler in Novigrad, but now I think you already discussed that one in another video? I can't remember...
I did an "evil Geralt" run on my last playthrough. Accepted the sister's bribe, then took the money from the husband, too. Couldn't stop laughing for like five minutes; that was horrible xD

Just to add something. You can agree to Margits request and take the bribe to stop looking for the hunters wife, but nothing stops you from continuing the mission anyways. So if youre tempted by the money offer, just take the bribe but dont tell nielen his wife is dead, just continue the investigation and youll end the mission the same way as if you didnt take the bribe
I ran this quest over the weekend and found a dead body near the area that you start searching for the enthralled man. I took this to mean that this succubus was not as harmless as she let on
I love "Wild at Heart" because I made a lot of friends start playing witcher 3 BECAUSE of this quest. I always killed the werewolf not because I thing he is wrong in killing the sister, but because I want that b*tch to live the rest of her life knowing she is the reason her sister AND lover died. My friend didn't agree and gave a good argument: the man deserves at least revenge on the scummy sister that tried break-up their marriage. And since he offers himself to be killed just shows he really lost everything. Personally I don't know what Geralt would choose but I think letting the sister live with the guilt is far more satisfying for me.
I just recently started Witcher 2. There are so many instances where civilians and non-humans are in danger when you have a much larger quest to follow. It feels extra wrong to skip them. I had so many instances of my blood boiling at humans harming elves, made burnt elves at Novigrad gate mid. You know how Geralt with how the cutscene when meeting Whoreson plays out.
I'd totally watch you deep dive into a lot of the more morally ambiguous outcomes to some of the contracts! It's one of my favorite parts of the game and why it's ranked as one of my favorites.
I recently finished Witcher 2 and decided to take a proper look at a map of the continent. It's really cool to get a better picture of where events took place in the world. Maybe you'd consider making a video of interesting places on the continent?
I remember finishing up the Devil by the Well quest and getting the choice to refuse payment so the father could save the money for his daughter's dowery. I groaned because I was broke and needed to repair my equipment, but I refused the payment because it's what I'd do.
Just wanted to come here and say that I’ve decided the funniest line anyone says in the game is the kids at school who asks Geralt if he can “teach me how to cut someone’s head off?!”
Thanks for reminding me about how awesome this game is I guess I need to continue my unfinished Blood & Wine although I can't stop thinking about Dragon Dogma II

All my playthroughs. All the hundreds (at this point thousands) of hours i've invested, and i've somehow never come across those alchemists near Novigrad. Gods i adore this game.
Please do the silver basilik in Beauclair next. Kind of surprised that you haven’t done it already considering that it is a real moral gray area of a quest.
Thank for another witcher video! I’ve played this game so many times and it never gets old! I’m about to do my first play through on my new PC. Keep the content coming 👍🏼
Accidentally killed the succubus cause i thought i didnt have its mutagen (even though i had it from novigrad) and now im sad. Its like 3 days worth of saves behind as well, unfortunately
Fully accurate, EXCEPT for John. I actually missed this almost every single playthrough, but in my most recent one, I saw a notice to the right of John, a good 10 metres down the road and so easily missed. If you read it, the notice warns you that he has been caught as a deserter and a bandit, and sentences to be left for dead. The notice even cautions you about the evil that could come about if you help anyone abandoned. Suddenly it's a much more dynamic choice than just 'I'm being attacked'.
I've always let the werewolf get justice. As much as geralt is supposed to protect humans from monsters, It's almost satisfying to know that she is ended in such a fashion
i'll happily start the debate on the wild at heart final choice if neon won't lol. it's one of my favourite side quests mainly for that, i think it does a great job of showing the difference between geralt's moral compass and a typical adventurer. the woman is awful and the hunter is a good guy, so naturally a lot of people will think leaving him to kill her and not killing him is the moral thing to do. and that might be true, but im 100% sure geralt doesn't do that, because two defining characteristics of geralt are that he will almost never decide someone deserves to die, and he cares a lot about his responsibility to deal with potentially harmful monsters. it's important to note that she didn't deliberately kill her sister, she just wanted to steal her husband which is cruel but not anywhere near bad enough to deserve death, and doesn't suggest that she could hurt anyone again. and more importantly the hunter proved beyond a doubt that if he ever changes at a bad time, or if someone wanders too close to his hideout, he will attack anyone he sees. so you have a woman geralt would never think deserves to die, and a werewolf who's proven to be extremely dangerous to humans threatening to murder her right in front of him. in that scenario i don't ever see geralt walking out, he'd not even consider the idea of letting her die, and it's his job to kill the werewolf. and in the end she got what she deserved by losing the man she accidentally killed her sister for, which i thought was fitting
to expand the point; the hunter has a diary explaining he had tried all possible cure options to no avail. From Witcher 1 it's made clear true love could cure lycanthropy. So that part didn't materialize. Killing the werewolf is the most likely outcome.
09:00 weeeell... In the very first Witcher short story, the one about Strigga, Geralt uses Ostrit as a bait. Sure he unties him and gives him a chance to tu run, but he refuses to give him head start and when he hears Strigga getting to Ostrit, Geralt thinks to him self that Strigga got to him fast. Too fast. Meaning he was well aware he'll die, he was even counting on it, so that the Strigga will be more sluggish after feeding. I know that the situation here is different, but to say Geralt would never leave anyone to such fate? Sure Ostrit was threatening Geralt, but he was no real threat, and got easily subdued. Geralt could have let him go earlier, let him hide, keep him out of the harms way as well as keeping him out of the way. But he didn't. Just pointing out it's not always been this obvious. ;)

You are one of the handful of peeps I have seen that actually uses a brand they talk about in sponsorships. It must be good.
Bro I lobe these "what would geralt do" videos please keep this series going 🙏
I just recently started Witcher 2. There are so many instances where civilians and non-humans are in danger when you have a much larger quest to follow. It feels extra wrong to skip them. I had so many instances of my blood boiling at humans harming elves, made burnt elves at Novigrad gate mid.
You know how Geralt with how the cutscene when meeting Whoreson plays out.
Btw apparently if you aard the door down during the fight outside the burning elf’s house, she’ll come out and help you fight the bandits lol.
I'd totally watch you deep dive into a lot of the more morally ambiguous outcomes to some of the contracts! It's one of my favorite parts of the game and why it's ranked as one of my favorites.
Ahh I love these types of videos! Keep up the good work!
every time you drop a video i know its gonna be quality
I recently finished Witcher 2 and decided to take a proper look at a map of the continent. It's really cool to get a better picture of where events took place in the world.
Maybe you'd consider making a video of interesting places on the continent?
We are back, love ur content!!
Love your channel man, I used your code to try a meal service for the first time. Keep the Witcher videos coming!
4:29 That sounds more like The Doctor than The White Wolf.
14:58 i remember when i first played the game i just wanted to finish as soon as possible so … you know 😂
I remember finishing up the Devil by the Well quest and getting the choice to refuse payment so the father could save the money for his daughter's dowery. I groaned because I was broke and needed to repair my equipment, but I refused the payment because it's what I'd do.
Just wanted to come here and say that I’ve decided the funniest line anyone says in the game is the kids at school who asks Geralt if he can “teach me how to cut someone’s head off?!”
I love watching these videos, always look forward to them keep up the great work!
huge fan of the content man! Please keep it up!
Thanks for reminding me about how awesome this game is
I guess I need to continue my unfinished Blood & Wine although I can't stop thinking about Dragon Dogma II
Thousands of hours on Steam Witcher 3.
Countless playthroughs, vanilla and modded.
Countless consumed media on RUclips about the Witcher 3.
But have i hell, ever seen Geralt fistfight a Drowner in nothing but his boxies and his boots 8:23
Bro throwing Sarah in a wood chipper had me dying lol
Accidentally killed the succubus cause i thought i didnt have its mutagen (even though i had it from novigrad) and now im sad. Its like 3 days worth of saves behind as well, unfortunately
your favourite quest - about the sister killing killing Hannah is loosely based on polish play "Balladyna" by Juliusz Słowacki
I love your The Witcher videos! I'd love to hear your opinion on "A Greedy God" quest.
Thank you very much for your content from France !
I love this serie! I was waiting for new witcher videos 😍
your videos legit make my day man
i'll happily start the debate on the wild at heart final choice if neon won't lol. it's one of my favourite side quests mainly for that, i think it does a great job of showing the difference between geralt's moral compass and a typical adventurer. the woman is awful and the hunter is a good guy, so naturally a lot of people will think leaving him to kill her and not killing him is the moral thing to do. and that might be true, but im 100% sure geralt doesn't do that, because two defining characteristics of geralt are that he will almost never decide someone deserves to die, and he cares a lot about his responsibility to deal with potentially harmful monsters. it's important to note that she didn't deliberately kill her sister, she just wanted to steal her husband which is cruel but not anywhere near bad enough to deserve death, and doesn't suggest that she could hurt anyone again. and more importantly the hunter proved beyond a doubt that if he ever changes at a bad time, or if someone wanders too close to his hideout, he will attack anyone he sees. so you have a woman geralt would never think deserves to die, and a werewolf who's proven to be extremely dangerous to humans threatening to murder her right in front of him. in that scenario i don't ever see geralt walking out, he'd not even consider the idea of letting her die, and it's his job to kill the werewolf. and in the end she got what she deserved by losing the man she accidentally killed her sister for, which i thought was fitting
Interesting look on this quest, and I must admit I agree!
to expand the point; the hunter has a diary explaining he had tried all possible cure options to no avail. From Witcher 1 it's made clear true love could cure lycanthropy. So that part didn't materialize. Killing the werewolf is the most likely outcome.
I’d love a comic video! Fading Memories is one of my favorite and not enough people talk about it
Top quality content as always man
i love, love, love your witcher videos, and the witcher books and games. not so much the Netflix travesty. Thank you.
I literally just did the succubus quest nice timing.
Im on my first playthrough
Another great video!
Massive "yes, please do" to a video on the comics!
Just pointing out it's not always been this obvious. ;)
Great video as always NK. Couldnt agree more. Also, would love a comic book video :)
OK FINE!!! ILL PLAY THE WITCHER 3 AGAIN FOR THE GOD KNOWS HOW MANY TIMES! Love your videos
its great when neon knight uploads a new witcher video, and on april's fools no less
Here we go again, you made me want to play the game once more
A video on the comics would be great, I had no idea they existed.
looking forward for the Blood and wine expansion.
and i mean, the entire quests choices beyond the main quest.
:}
Another Witcher 3 video? Nice 😎
Any info on WWGD Blood and Wine?
Hello, binge watching those videos at the moment.
How do I get the little fighting stats showing up at the left hand corner? I'm not sure where I find this in my settings :(
I’m gutted I never found the wood chipper kill cut scene
10:28 last time I came across this I saved her, but it was for selfish reasons. I had just got myself a new set of Witcher armor and saw the gang of thugs as a means of testing it lol
Babe wake up, new NeonKnight video dropped
There are Witcher comics!?😱. This feels like a future WTF Neon video
5:25 is the espectros that always kill people a learn that in the bad way 😅
