Your videos are amazing. Your attention to detail and research is incredibly impressive and gives me new perspectives on quests and stories I've played through many times. Great work dude.
Ha, I've read that same reddit thread about Karadin and I also was surprised at how confident everyone was with their decision to take him out. As though they had played some part of the quest I had missed, lol. To be honest, the whole 'coming up with elaborate out-of-game theories to reverse-engineer evidence that the choice you picked was the right one in a video game quest that was clearly included before it was fully written' is the most reddit thing ever, haha. Good video
TLDR: I interpreted it as Karadin is at the bare minimum twisting the facts to seem less culpable, Karadin seemed to wash his hands of his grim past and friends, rather than repent. So I begrudgingly back Lambert up rather than let himself get killed. Idk if its just the demeanor, but IMO Karadin sounded like the most untrustworthy, had the most to lose by Geralt digging into their past, and therefore the biggest incentive to lie. Lambert who we know, thought highly of Aiden, where as this random guy, who knows we are out for revenge just says, oh Aiden fucked up so we just HAD to kill him. The letter I think is genuine, but being on the body I took it as something recent, and more of a "It would be bad if I'm seen with you", rather than something a changed man would say when asked to join a slaving business. From the beginning Geralt knows that this is a quest to find and kill Aidens killer, and Karadin may not be "beyond a reasonable doubt" guilty, but imo is "more likely than not" guilty, so I chose "kill him" taking it as "lambert do what you must"
I completely agree with your statement that most Witcher lore coverage is subpar. This is probably the best lore channel I know of so yes, one high-production value Witcher video per month would be a godsend. Looking forwards to it!
9:36 From my old playtrough I barely remember that in polish voice lines there is more emphasis on "none here can say they know Berengar" which as I remember (but might be wrong) implied that those witchers have met Berengar but he never really opened to them. Idk I haven't played witcher 1 in a while
The high quality Witcher lore videos is what youtube desperately needs IMO. I watched a streamer finish the witcher 3 just recently and he wanted to deep dive into the lore of the universe. All the english-speaking options are just not it. And I, personally, will watch those videos twice each if you do that. I believe you can make the it best.
I totally agree about the lack of quality Witch lore content on RUclips. The most prominent channel I've found is Old Witcher, which is usually common knowledge padded out by made up shit. Quality lore videos are very rare.

18:10 I’m happy that I’m not the only one who thought it was weird that Geralt didn’t care about the witchers he killed while he didn’t have his memory in Witcher 2. Not only that, but Letho acting like they were still alive at the end makes me want to think that they cut a bunch of content and that originally it was going to be a choice. Because even the game treats it as a big deal only for it to be never mentioned again after the flashback. I remember saying “that’s it” after it happened 😂
2:10 This might honestly be my favorite thing about witcher 1. I absolutely love the fact that you can even change the outcome of main quests by talking to random NPCs
There's this fan mod that tells the story of Geralt and Yen's wedding. Letho is there and we get flashbacks where the 4th viper school witcher is there with them, but leaves shortly after rescuing Yen. In this situation it is possible that he was captured as others, just seperately. Maybe CDPR can take it into consideration when remaking the order games
Great Video! I've more or less binged watched all your witcher vids the last couple of days. You're doing a fantastic job covering the lore and without a doubt you should keep making them! I Love your content Neon Night. I am looking forward to Witcher 1 remake and Witcher 4. Cant wait for you to break them down too and give us insight on things we missed. :)
The part about Witcher 2 that annoys me the most is that all the interactions between the witchers are written to drive the plot, rather than like how people would talk to each other. At no point do Serritt, Auckes, or Letho decide to talk to Geralt before trying to fight him. If they did, I’m completely certain there wouldn’t have been any conflict between them.
This content style is fantastic, and I'm sure everybody would be super hyped if we got one of these videos every so often I personally love the longer content, and especially when it's Witcher content
Personally I liked the Jad Karadin questline because it shows the realism of how you cannot always make a satisfying decision when you do not have all the required information to do so. Geralt would not kill Karadin unless he was absolutely sure he was guilty and since he is not sure, he would not approve of Lambert murdering him.
I appreciate that you add in the realities of video game development. Where one of the realistic answers is that they messed up or didn’t have time to include stuff.
I’m here for the Witcher content, because as you said the quality of whats out there, especially pertaining to its knowledge of/interaction with the books, is sorely lacking.
Lore content from someone who really understands a setting is incredibly entertaining! I'm not a Witcher aficionado, but *I was* a huge Legends contributor to Wookiepedia, and a Tolkiendil; I really can respect the content of a passionate and media-literate nerd. Your understanding of Geralt as a character alone is so much more interesting than people just reiterating bullet points on lore. Your rants on theories being claimed as fact remind me of my own experiences in those other fandoms. In any case, subbed.
Always had issue with the Jad Karadin quest. One is that it kinda asks you to go to Skelige before you are supposed to. And then the killing Jad. Otherwise your cat school budy throws a hissy fit.. L quest. Unplayable. Refund.
More content good. I just watched an 11 hour retrospective video and the person repeatedly got basic stuff wrong. Like they claimed Vesemir tried to kill king of the Wild Hunt with his knife and was killed for failing. Dude. Wtf? How can you so badly misread one of the biggest scenes of the whole damn game?

It's such a shame that Witcher 4 will be woke. They have hired so many political activists and Social Justice Warriors in their development team, it won't be a polish game, all the good polish developers left in 2017. With the end of Blood and Wine DLC. RIP. As a 10 years big fan of the Witcher Games, I played and finished Witcher 1, finished Witcher 2 thrice, finishing Witcher 3 for the third time, all quests I'm really disappointed by the turn that this game will take, if you don't believe me, do some research, many people talked about it already
I think the video is really good because it's so detailed and it's the first time you understand what's behind the people you've been grumbling about for 5 minutes
This is what I love about this channel; logical thinking and doesn't buy into fan fic theories that exist just to theorise about a situation that is otherwise very vanilla.
23:28 I love the dynamic between Lambert and the others. Lamber is clearly a prick, but he also clearly loves them and he clearly doesn't like showing that he loves them because he must be tough and strong. And the others love him too and engage in his prickness just to get back at him, but also in good fun.
I like the different approach to Witcher's lore videos, for sure would like to see a lot more. There is so many interesting topics in the Witcher's world that, well, you have a ton of content. And yeah, while a lot of this content was already talked about, and people made videos about it, I dont think that they did a thorough job like you, in this video. Personally, would like to see a lot more videos like this, as I said there is a vast amount of lore and interesting topics so you have a lot to choose from (and yeah, i think you should choose it by yourself, with maybe a little inspiration from us, your viewers).
Great video, would love to see more of the witcher lore for a specific topic. I would have liked an overview in the end of all the witchers geralt could have killed, and if they deserved it.

Really good video, I normally don't watch lore videos on anything but I got curious and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole video
new sub here. your voice is very soothing. Been bingeing your witcher series. You put so much work into them and I really enjoy watching. Thank you
I'm always keen to see some witcher content from you so keep doing it!
I didn't know this card game had such a deep lore, you learn something new everyday.
Bro dropped a 40mins high quality video without warning
Great video, would love to see more of the witcher lore for a specific topic. I would have liked an overview in the end of all the witchers geralt could have killed, and if they deserved it.
I am definitely a big fan of The Witcher lore videos. More and more would always be appreciated. Your work is great, keep it up!
