- The stock shifter is absolutely great with great feel in the hand. However, I wanted to go with something that was heavier and overall shortens the length of the shifter which is why I'm showing you the BFI Black Billet Aluminum Shift Knob! Wow what a difference! Please support my RUclips channel JR14 by doing these three things which are to like, share and subscribe!!!! See you guys in the next one. Enjoy the Video!!!

One of our favorite mods on our MK7.5 so far!
Glad you're enjoying it and it was great meeting you in Savannah!
Looks great! Just installed mine last week.
What’s up, I love my bfi probably one of the best mods of done to the inside
you should of did a video on that carbon fiber wrap
Welcome to the BFI club of weigh shifters, lol. Bought mine last year for my car and love it!!!
Thank you I absolutely love the shift knob and i'll never go back to stock
looks good. Are you planning to install short throw shifter kit?
It being full billet, you may want to get a cover for it, something like a small velour pouch. Its probably going to get pretty hot to the touch in the summer.
So far so good haven't had any burning of my hand issues. However I did feel it get sort of warm. Usually when I park, I put something over it to ensure the sun doesn't make it too hot!!
@@JR14Channel beware the summer lava knob
I currently own a mk7 gti S, idk what my first mod should be, what would you suggest, aesthetics first or performance
it does look pretty cool though
Thanks bro!!!
I've heard a few stories of the 4x grub screws coming loose and the BFI knob becoming wobbly. Kinda put me off a little but I do really want one 🤣.
Have you had any issues with it becoming loose?
Hey I had a BFI shift knob about a couple of years ago. Mine did end up getting loose over time but, I believe that BFI has actually revised this issue considering that it was pretty common. What I would do is that if you end up getting one, make sure that you use blue loctite on the grub screws and then you should be fine.
@@JR14Channel nice one, cheers buddy. I think I will end up getting one to be honest as I like to try things myself before judging. Plus I really like the design 😎👌🏼
At half a pound, the BFI wasn’t enough? Is there really a big difference with the raceng? The BFI looks better
i was thinking about the weighted shift knob but seriously i think really there's no point. the short shifter does a great job of improving more precise shifts. i dont really notice too much travel distance problems with the oem shift knob.
Well a weighed shift knob doesn’t really have anything to do with the amount of travel but overall they are better with the throws into each gear. Less effort because the knob weights more.
Where did you get that carbon fiber for your console ?
the coin is sweet
Thanks bro
where did you get your carbon fiber center console?
It's not real carbon fiber. I took all the trim panels off and was able to vinyl wrap the interior trim panels.
Appreciate the close-up portions of the "Pain in the Ass" part, removing metal and plastic clamp. Stock is too damn high and too light in weight.
how are likeing the new shifter
I like it a lot! However I am going to be selling this component very soon and going with another brand. Something that is heavier to make shift feel even
Better and it’s going to be custom
What’s our thread size for our audis
Should be the exact same as the Volkswagens
Does anyone know the thread specs of the adapter that the knob screws onto?
