I love it. There was another guy who remastered the trailers, but the edges looked way too sharp, while here it remains smooth, of course not at the cost of pixels or quality of the image. Some people will probably prefer the lower framerates, because the way it is right now it looks slightly sped up. Not for me thought, it's perfect in my opinion. Great work.
Thanks so much! And yes, I saw the other upscales done and they definitely seemed heavy handed in their approach. My goal is always to try to ultimately respect the source material.
And I totally get where people are coming from with the preference for 24FPS. It does have a certain cinematic quality to it.

I rewatch all cinematics every 1-2 years & I get emotional every time lol
The only thing I noticed is that the night elf part of the classic trailer is really blurry. It might have been that blurry originally, but it really stands out with the higher quality. Everything else is absolutely gorgeous.
Really good work. Althought on some screen phase there are tears happening but in overall really good job.

10:35 never fails to send shivers down my spine. I miss early Cataclysm, although I'm not sure how much of that is caused by the nostalgia googles effect.

How come you didn't do the main Shadowlands Cinematic with Sylvanas and Bolvar?
Yeah that was a tough one. I tried to stick to the official official cinematic for each expansion, where I believe that Bolvar one (which I adore) is the announcement trailer, and not the official one. Personally I think that's the better trailer.
@@SnazzyAI no the bolvar one is not only the announcement trailer, it's the official intro cinematic of SL. Way much better than this one. Too bad almost perfect :)

the Shadowlands cinematic you picked SHOULD have been the one they implemented, instead they used it as a selling ad, big fail by Blizzard there, i definitely prefer this one to Sylvanas making Bolvar her bottom boy.
Still, you can see clear difference between the cinematics before MoP and MoP & after. The details in the cinematic for MoP and after look much more clear.
Yep! I was shocked just how well the Battle for Azeroth cinematic upscaled. It was absolutely packed with detail.

Wow the framerate increase is so noticeable, that was great! How is it even possible to adjust it?
Just seeing all the comments from people not liking the framerate change, I loved it! Makes everything feel more real.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! And it's all through the magic of interpolation. It's existed for quite a while and most modern TVs have a smooth motion mode which is a form of it. It basically looks at two frames, sees where the pixels move and then creates a frame in between with that info.
The more recent advancement is a form of interpolation that's aided by machine learning. Which is just so cash money.
That's awesome, I just saw this on Reddit and started watching it without seeing the author. 10 seconds in I could see the difference. Looked so good I thought it was an official re-release.
I can kinda understand why some people don't like the framerate. 've seen live action TV shows in high FPS and find it really jarring. Something just looks off although I can't put my finger on it. I think it looks great though on CGI like this. Maybe it's because I'm used to playing PC games and seeing animations at 60fps.

4k looks awesome, though I don't think 48FPS was a good idea, too many frames give it a less "cinematic" feel (video looks sped up even though it isnt).

I've beeb playing since BC, but as much as I know WOTLK is the better cinematic, as an orc fan, Warlords of Draenor is my favorite.

Just me or does some of it looks more "fake" than the original ones? Like the ice cracking in the wrath cinematic looks really weird. And when Deathwing gets the metal plate put on his body?
Remaster? You mean upscale? Upscale is fine, but remaster implies rendered from the master source i.e. the Blizzard CGI.

60 fps ruined everything : cinematic = 24 fps.
Well, actually this is 48FPS. But I share your sentiment that 24FPS is cinematic. I'm fine if it stayed the dominant film standard. It's also why I chose 48FPS instead of 60. At least with 48, I am simply doubling the frames, but when people interpolate to 60, it creates unneeded judder in the image due to the uneven number of frames you're having to create in between the original 24 frames per second.
Nice effort but these things were never meant to be watched at this FPS. It looks dumb, like it's in fast forward mode.
