Everything in Korea is expensive. Since I had to import it into New York it's even more expensive. I'll never go to Korea cuz it's overpriced
@@eksine then you cant go to pretty much every major city including New York. If you go to rural/suburb areas in korea, it's cheap but not as popular

She might seems like a mean boss towards some,but generally i respect her way of pushing the staffs to work together. She still needa uphold the company's reputation in order to generate everyone's wages.
I think it's OK because she mentioned they get to negotiate their own salary and (generally) pick their own work hours. They're directors after all. My dad is one and they have meetings in their hotel pyjamas lol. But in other companies with more fixed wages and a fixed 9-5 day, bosses like her (always pushing, even at night) wouldn't be OK.
@@TheHothotheatlive She reprimands and tries to fix when someone does something wrong, gives compliments when they do well, strict when she needs to be, and willing to spend on her employees. I think she's cool, but then again I'm 15, so it could be a completely different story. So far though, I don't think I would mind.
@@TheHothotheatlive I agree. I think she's actually a very good boss, but in this instance I strongly feel she really overworked her staff. She should have planned the flights to be earlier ahead of time so that they can properly rest. They will have to pay more since they will be staying longer, but frankly an extra day will not hurt. Also since she's willing to open a new location she should have expected that there will be costs like this she will have to plan for. I work a job and frankly would not have been ok with my boss forcing me to stay up late, and since they knew about the audition months in advance, they should have had her coordinate with the finance team to manage the budget for this trip. It seems like there wasn't much of a process behind it since they didn't decide long before who would go, especially since none of the directors initially wanted to be a candidate for the new position at the New York location.

I don’t know if this is korean banter but I feel sad whenever CEO Kim’s employees act as if she’s the absolute worst 😩 she’s just someone who loves her craft and that’s actually admirable. There’s so many bad bosses in the world I don’t think they realise how lucky they are.

people call her mean but i know its just her way of motivating her employees. shes just serious when it comes to business, but shes actually very nice to her staffs. bringing and buying them gifts, treating them to eat out and she even smiles a lot. a mean boss would never do that.

It must be frustrating for employees to be given projects or criticism at a company dinner. At the same time, if I was a boss, I'd want to treat my employees to dinners but wouldn't know what to talk about without encroaching on their personal lives
Korean work life is troublesome in that they can't really say no to company dinners without getting some heat. Boss Kim though is pretty nice compared to other horror stories but does need to lessen the talk about work during these outings. It can add more stress to an employee when you want to foster good relations
Company dinner in this case (visiting boss from afar) is a meeting, you really always get work talk on them. It's different when it's your direct manager, then it's a commemoration and work talk is probably not involved.
