the Legion had a harder time because the Melee users rushed too far ahead to be proper meat shields, meanwhile the NCR went in as a cohesive unit and tore into the Deathclaw nest with ferocity and efficiency.
“Looked like”? Bro, it died right when he reached it. He DID bayonet charge that Deathclaw, KILLED IT, and then led the charge against the other ones before dying himself. Utter Gigachad.
If only there was a quest where you could actually send reinforcements to Quarry Junction. That way you'd clear it a lot sooner than you could by your lonesome (road).
@@thatskeletordude5271 It's a good idea. Maybe you have to have ideolized or something and have to talk to the guy from camp mccarran. @@RiotNpcBattles Haha thanks. And thank you for doing the Lyons vs Legate camp request. Was very fun to watch, specially seeing my girl Cross whiping out Legionaires with her hammer before succumbing to the pressure. She sure took many legionaires to hell with her 💪🏻
40 Veteran Rangers would likely be overkill given how few Troopers, Civ Rangers, and Patrol Rangers it took but you know what they say "overkill is underrated".
I'd like to see one each of the three kinds of rangers vs Quarry Juction which the amount being doubling until the deathclaws are dead. Sounds like a cool vid.
after this maybe you could do a eastern bos invades mojave? I think there's a mod that's pretty well developed at this point that remasters new vegas into fallout 4. Although a critique on how you set your ebos troops. You seem to make all your light infantry the npcs with fatigues and laser pistols. I'm not really sure why and I haven't ever seen a single one with combat armor. Ebos guys that wear fatigues in combat are low ranks and mostly spotted during early levels in the game. At later levels just about all light infantry you encounter will be geared with combat armor and full laser rifles. Im not sure what you could do for vertibirds, but clearly they shouldn't be so easily susceptible to small arms fire. I just enjoy watching all this and seeing just how many troopers survived til the end.
Really, the Legion were ill equipped to deal with deathclaws, Machetes & spears and light handguns ain't going to cut it, the NCR MOPPED the floor with the Hunting revolver and the brush gun/trail carbine. The Gov'T/.44 equipped guns hit that much harder. Really any rifle/hand cannon that uses Gov'T ammo doesn't really need AP/HP ammo, in stock ammo form, it's quite "Universal" to most threats, and at times good enough for deathclaws or other strong oppositions. The .44 chambered firearms might need a "boost" with the AP/HP ammo at times.
It's weird how the Legion cleared out an entire state like Colorado of mutants and raiders, but the NCR can't diverge 20 soldiers to clear our a quarry lol
They did way better than i thought they would, didn't even have to bring out the big guns. Shows how weak the legion is in this game, they should have given them better stats to make up for their lack of firepower
They were pretty balanced when the game came out, but there was a patch that like tripled the Service Rifle's fire rate and made NCR troopers way more dangerous than they were at launch
@@americanoutcast9716 no slow fire rate doesn’t make much sense unless you’re in line with the NCR string their guys so we on accuracy not fire rate and/or the NCR is not used to using semiautomatic weapons and that is not using them affectively for example, if they are used to repeaters and bolt actions then the fire rate makes sense that is comparable to them but if they are used to send me automatic weapons, even know that once your dinner went blank range, you kind of want to use fire rate for your advantage

In my opinion, this video perfectly encapsulates the strength of numbers next to raw power. It's one of the reasons why both the Legion and the NCR succeed in putting down extremely powerful foes greater than them. It's just that, when you are pitted against 10,000 strong human meatshields, your Power Armor won't be much of any help
