That being said my personal build has some differences in perks selection but the differences don't matter with regards to Deathclaw punching. I chose to wear low DT light armor because I had to show people how GRX and Turbo just allow you to do just that! plus the Great Khan armors are great for showing off muscles ; ) also it should be noted that "cannibalism" and "terrifying presence" were added via console for my own roleplay purposes.

The drugs made an insane difference, he went from holding his own against a young deathclaw to literally obliterating entire groups of deadclaws. I need to make a chem build.
recently, with the help of a few grenades and a weapon binding ritual, i defeated my current character's first legion death squad and got the centurion's super sledge at level 11. all the survival skill shit is underrated asf. imagine making food that heals as much as stimpaks and triple damage buff chems out of bottles, bug meat and fruit from the side of the road, though the most useful thing for me early on was definitely stockpiling on bighorner steaks because of the 20+ max carry weight + non addictive effect. just wish there were more campfires around. and all work stations for that matter.
This is why i take compreension with every build, chems are so cheap from very early without sacrifice weapon skills.

Only Boxing Tape/Gloves when facing multiple. You can expect a Power Fist or Ballistic Fist to take deathclaws chem-free. Hell with scribe counter and high DT you can take *a* deathclaw down with Boxing Tape/Gloves even Rawr.

I love using unarmed stuff in New Vegas, its very satisfying to punch someone hard enough they turn into mince meat, but i think the animations are best in 3rd person. Also 3:29 is just too perfect.

Okay this is the best thing ever because if you can fight a deathclaw with just your fists I think you pretty much got Fallout Masters because deathclaws are one of the hardest enemies to fight in Fallout New Vegas and I've got to say there's just something satisfying about using just your fists in New Vegas to punch a deathclaw to death and I'm talking just your fists no unarmed weapons just your fist that way you can do to them what they keep doing to you every playthrough that you play in Fallout New Vegas
