the Embrace of the Mantis King! is always so underrated on these lists. With the x3 critical chance it's easy to bring its critical hit chance to 100%. Thus, it quickly becomes laughably easy to one-hit absolutely everything in the game.
Easy to get very early in the game, low strength requirement , big critical hit and damage critical hit multiplier, much bigger range than most of the other unarmed weapons , average attack speed but considering the other unarmed weapons it is better than the most damaging unarmed weapons like ballistic fist for example, and also a few other things. The only real minus i think it is it's durability which is average but can be easily fixed by caring a few weapon repair kits. So while at first glance you can't see all those hidden things if you experience it a bit and compare it with other unarmed weapons it feels like the clear winner ... well at least for me. However if you don't play a critical build there are better solutions and love and hate is an interesting choice for budget unarmed weapon in many builds.

Like imagine if we could have a ripper in one hand and a plasma defender in the other. You could shred the crap out of anyone that gets to close, and then shoot them if they try to stay too far from you.
The two step goodbye is still one of my favorite weapons in new Vegas and in pretty much any game, just one of the most satisfying things to kill enemies with
#1 The ballistic fist, Mick and Blake did not have it but Torres did. However it was at less than 50% strength and it just cost me a little over 2,000 caps. However when I took it to Mojave Post to get it fully repaired it cost me 10,000 caps. Still a small price for such a great weapon.
The grease lighting one of the most fastest power fist in the game you can get it if you have the GRA dlc and you can find it in the brotherhood of steel vender in the hidden valley bunker
The great thing about the Ballistic Fist is if used with all six perks those being Heavy Handed, Bloody Mess, Lord Death, Thought You Died, Slayer, and Ain't Like That Now you go from 80 DMG & 87.3 DPS to 111.2 DMG & 182 DPS.
Hey your missing something in your list it’s called your own fists because all the fist perks and special attacks make it the stronger and you don’t have to repair it also it’s free at the start of the game and it gets stronger as you increase melee skill and also it called being a man
I have only ever seen it in one of my playthroughs; but I found little buster dead inside of free side by the left hand side of the Mormon fort after doing the bounty hunter quest without talking to him. He had a completely unique weapon called the ‘cram opener’ on him. Pretty damn good and cool that it’s a completely unique model. I’ve never seen another weapon look like it in new vegas.
That's one of the things i like of Fallout NV, there are not many unarmed weapons to choose on fallout 3, while new vegas has a great collection. I think another weapon from the gun runners arsenal should be mentioned, as it is the fastest power fist in the game, and thats the greased lightning, is slightly faster than the saturnite fist. And also on the dead money dlc you can find de bear trap fist, which can be modded, its not very fast but imo its so funny to use because it bites the enemy with every punch xD. Good video 😊
Maybe it's just cause the fist of rawr has borderline war club/greased speed, but i swear it has increased range. With the legion unarmed attack it's almost like a 2h melee weapon, sweeping an area. Bonus it genuinely looks good with the sierra armor
one of my favorite things to do with the Ballistic Fist, is to do the Khan Trick where you throw sand at someone When you do it with the ballistic fist, it still gives the explosion animation like you hit them normally So you throw exploding sand in their face
I really like love and hate, I've used them a lot from early to mid to late, I actually use them to take out all praetorians and ceasar to get like 6 ballistic fists
If you are late game, the industrial hand tool is great if you built for guns. Level up unarmed a bit and it will destroy armored enemies faster than most guns, just make sure you get the perk that knocks down enemies. Ever since I went with it as a secondary weapon I've been saving on a lot of ammo.
i originally ignored all ballistic gloves up until i was able to kill caesar. I looted it from his corpse and gave it to veronica, and, when i first went to the battle of hoover dam, i saw her obliterate the Lanius damn, i love this game so much
Most video game experts would tell you to never go with the unarmed skill in New Vegas. Because most of the enemies will have ranged weapons. However! Here is my list Grocery list on how to become an unarmed champion. -100 points in Unarmed. -10 endurance -Slayer perk. -Travel Light. -Super Slam! perk. -Chemist. -Rank 2 of implant GRX. -And lots of Turbo drugs hot keyed.
I don't use turbo at all but I do almost everything else you mentioned here (my endurance is usually 8 or 9 though). Light armor is the armor master race in New Vegas.
my favourite is the displacer glove, except I never get it from any of the listed locations I get it by operating Cesar's tumor, with a rocket launcher usually
Notably, it is possible to get 100% critical hit chance on the embrace of the mantis king meaning its critical damage is effectively a part of its base damage.
You completely misunderstood the Saturnite fist super-heated. In addition to the critical effect of enemies catching fire, the base damage type is fire damage, so the pyromaniac perk affects all of it's damage, not just the critical effect damage.
The Super-Heated Saturnite Fist was my science nerd's go-to melee weapon in my first playthrough of New Vegas once I found it at Big Mountain. My character wasn't a melee build, but when the chips were down that was my last resort.
Mobius' gloves are fantastic solely because they frenzy on crit and frenzy is a pretty unique effect. I reccomend all unarmed players get the mantis king for the reach and crazy crit chance, mobius'gloves for the frenzy, industrial hand for the pure dps, fist of rawr for best end game dps that doesnt have buggy vats and allows unarmed special moves. Industrial hand has buggy vats and doesnt let you use special unarmed moves at all, but its definitely top dps when you consider it has a stupid high crit multiplier and crit damage for an automatic weapon and it checks for crits so many times per second. Oh and also two step goodbye is fun to use with pocket sand and greased lightning is just fun to use the slayer perk plus rushing water etc and see how fast you can pull the trigger lol. Its FAST lol. Great for lots of weak stuff like a bunch of baby mantis or something. But definitely not great. Honestly crit builds are the only really viable option. Heavy handed is PURE TRASH. It may seem good, but only until like lvl 16 when you realize you effed up lol.

I love grease lighting and salt upon wounds the most for unarmed but also do love the paladins toaster
I'd love to see a DPS list in addition to the straight DAM lists
This makes me want to do a unarmed survivalist build in new vegas at some point when I get the time. Great list Caedo
good to see you again caedo
You had me at “wrist mounted shotgun”
The grease lighting one of the most fastest power fist in the game you can get it if you have the GRA dlc and you can find it in the brotherhood of steel vender in the hidden valley bunker
Great video Caedo, as always I'm not disappointed.
I'm imagining the courier making airplane noises while he uses the industrial hand
That is genius!!! I never knew that you can take rawrs talon to the sierra madre and craft it there. I'll remember next time for sure
I just did a Dead Money walkthrough entirely using the Fist of Rawr it makes short work of Ghost People
Fun fact: the gas mask on his little drawn character is the czech cm-4 gas mask
My honest reaction seeing bunch of deathclaws: 0:46
For anyone looking for a displacer glove , you can also find one in ceasar's safehouse if your liked by the legion
I just got mine by killing caesar
Wasn’t expecting to see a New Vegas video today a very pleasant surprise.
Fist of Rawr saved my butt in Dead Money, well worth the immense effort to get when playing a Fister build.
Fun fact: if you have wild wasteland it gets changed to fist of the north rawr
@@FS-Flame love that meme, excellent anime.
You can actually buy other death claw gauntlets after beating lonesome road from the gun runners.
Maybe it's just cause the fist of rawr has borderline war club/greased speed, but i swear it has increased range. With the legion unarmed attack it's almost like a 2h melee weapon, sweeping an area. Bonus it genuinely looks good with the sierra armor
Fist of rawr is my go to, simply cause it does insane damage with the addition of being able to disarm enemies do to it extra damage to limbs.
one of my favorite things to do with the Ballistic Fist, is to do the Khan Trick where you throw sand at someone
When you do it with the ballistic fist, it still gives the explosion animation like you hit them normally
So you throw exploding sand in their face
POCKET SAND
I tried that yesterday an it didn't work???
@@warzoneclipsanmoments8446 try the Two Step Goodbye then
@@Squat2P I love the two step goodbye an bet.
Poor Meyers. He got displacer gloved.
Still finding stuff out about this game and I got early up to get it at launch. There were 5 of us there btw 😢
I usually give the Two-Step Goodbye to Veronica, and keep Greased Lightning for myself.
There’s 3 ballistic fists in the weather modifying room at the Fort
The Industrial Hand seems like something out of The Pitt
Even in the late game when I’ve maxed out my unarmed skill, I still mainly just use Love and Hate. I think I might be weird
I'm personally a big fan of the Greased Lightning power fist you get from the brotherhood of steel
i originally ignored all ballistic gloves up until i was able to kill caesar. I looted it from his corpse and gave it to veronica, and, when i first went to the battle of hoover dam, i saw her obliterate the Lanius
damn, i love this game so much
I'm guessing the energy cell thing is a nod back to the OG Fallout games. I remember the Power Fist in that needed cells
Is there a video for the perks you get from doing tasks , dlc , missions etc and what are those type reffered to specifically ?
Most video game experts would tell you to never go with the unarmed skill in New Vegas. Because most of the enemies will have ranged weapons. However! Here is my list Grocery list on how to become an unarmed champion.
-100 points in Unarmed.
-10 endurance
-Slayer perk.
Unarmed is known to be OP in NV. Most video game experts would tell you.
my favourite is the displacer glove, except I never get it from any of the listed locations
I get it by operating Cesar's tumor, with a rocket launcher usually
Veronica and Fisto: r e a l s h i t
Notably, it is possible to get 100% critical hit chance on the embrace of the mantis king meaning its critical damage is effectively a part of its base damage.
Fisto FTW
Great job, thanks for helping me with my unarmed build on fallout New Vegas
World: *exist*
Toaster: I'm about to end this mans whole career
For non crit build fist of rawr seems to work the best. High Base damage and fast.
Since Skyrim I've always wondered how to day Chitin
