We define atheism as the lack of belief in gods. This definition also encompasses what most people call agnosticism.

Evolution doesn't "destroy God" per se, it destroys creationism and Biblical literalism. Now, if your concept of God is synonymous with or inextricably entailed by those things, then it does destroy your god. But that's on you, Spanky.
It kinda "destroy" many theists god that made the world for us to live. Evolution is a really big sign that points at life appearing randomly. Same for the huge size of the universe and the billions of stars per galaxy and billions of galaxies. The world (and especially the earth) is clearly not made for us

I rarely think about evolution, but when I do, I try to stay away from dreams, voices in my head, ancient books, and preachers hopping up and down while they scream at me.

@@sirbarryvee-eight6485 huh? None of it is all about me!! Good grief it’s like I say something as one individual Soul amongst Billions of others and I hear such foolish things. I don’t run around seeking validation and actually up until about 5 months ago kept to myself.. I lived a strange kind of life but it was still quite normal and I wasn’t involved in full time ministry but instead God used me outside of any Church and I found myself doing things independently of any Church affiliate.
Its in those moments I had most of the very strange things happen and believe me I could of wrote a book by now because I have had many different Supernatural things happen over my whole entire life including one time having an out of body experience while awake and talking to someone else.
I care about science being taught properly, that's what I care about, and you don't have to be an atheist to hold that position.
“Properly”
No, you don’t need to be an atheist to think this way.
We all know that an atheists version of doing anything “properly” includes intentionally cutting out any thinking about God.
Christians can even celebrate this when it comes to science because it helps prevent non-biblical religions (or even just loony Christians and secular superstition) from interfering with scientific endeavors.
It’s a double edged sword though.
That’s also how science is turned into a self-referential dogmatic claim of being the only way of determining what is true.
Of course, science has historically been done with profound belief in God (Sir Francis Bacon), with logic learned from theological teaching (Galileo), or a divine leap in reasoning leading the way (no matter whether you believe it as such or not), but you better not mention it in your scientific paper.
And ‘good luck’ if you’re doing science that challenges the almighty scientific consensus as outlined by authorities in politics, no matter how properly you do it.
@@EchoChamberDwellerFalse. When there is EVIDENCE that God played a role, then that can be taught as science. Religious claims can be taught at as such in comparative religion.

When scientists confirm that it’s part of science, then whatever’s not currently taught as part of science can be taught as science.
Proper science explicitly has to do with what is evidenced as being a part of the natural world.
Anything that is not yet scientifically proven to exist cannot be a part of proper science.
Anything else might occasionally be regarded as pseudoscience, but it’s more often labeled by science-worshipping dogmatists as magical fairytale fiction.

I'm not sure that's part of atheism, but anyway, you need help.
We don't make such a big deal of evolution. Unless we're interested in science, we don't bring it up that much except when we talk to theists and either they bring up evolution or ask a question that's answered by evolution. It's just that when theists asks us "then how could we exists and be working that well ?", well it's mainly due to evolution that we're not bacterias. Same for "the earth is clearly designed for animals and humans to live", it's us that evolved to be perfectly adapted to the earth because those that didn't dies before making any kids. Same for many other questions
TLDR: if you guys think we talk that much about evolution, we don't talk about it often apart from the conversations with theists. And yes we bring it up often because it's the answer for many of your questions

If the bible was really inspired by god, there's absolutely no way we would have those obvious errors. And if it has errors on things that can be verified, how can we be sure that it's not the case for things we can't verify until after we die ?

What a robust and safe space inducing thought-terminating cliché you have there! Would it be so difficult for you to use skepticism to determine what verifiable facts contradict your assertion as well as those that support it so that you could then use logical reasoning to come to a rational, justifiable conclusion instead of just asserting whatever your "feelz", or the blatantly profiteering apologists, keep telling you "must" be "common sense" that so very conveniently happens to prop up your narrative? I seldom think of evolution. I teach English to non-native speakers. I have to explain words all the time. Every day I have to explain words that have changed over time or have differing meanings.
To me, this kills Biblical literalism because words are always changing in meaning and usage. I would expect a God to know that.
The Quran is supposed to be read only in Arabic. But that doesn't avoid the problem of words changing meaning.
Salt used to mean something valuable and essential to life. It us still essential to life but now almost no one has to worry about not having enough. And it is now something to avoid.

The evolution of language is irrefutable and I dare anyone who tries to refute it to try to read the un-revised old-English version of "Beowulf", and that is in the last 1000 years, never mind 2-5 times that amount of time, like the bible.
The first two sentences in old-English:

Science: Evolution
Xtians: god did magic to convert DIRT into ADAM and then performed medical surgery on Adam to extract a rib and then changed the chromosome of the rib via stem cell therapy and created EVE. As simple as that.

Entropy? DO YOUR RESEARCH. THE SYSTEM DOESN'T MATTER. "Science" declares that entropy is generated everywhere and always, including in open systems. Entropy is a measure of how disordered a system is, and how much energy is unavailable for work. In open systems, entropy can be transferred in two ways: through heat transfer and mass transfer. When the trillion cells in your body replicate, they lose heat & mass (information); thus, you age and eventually die in heat death, if not before.
The earth is an "open system," correct? And guess what? All life DIES on earth. Metal corrodes/rusts, fruit oxidizes, meat rots, fires burn out, balls stop bouncing and the sun (and all the rest of the stars like the sun) eventually burn out. "Science" states that ENTROPY ALWAYS INCREASES.
Magic? Christianity? Not even close. It's atheism that desperately clings to "magic" or the IMPOSIBLE: A MINDLESS, PURPOSELESS moist rock coming from NOTHING & ignoring DISORDER (entropy) to produce a first cell with systems within to eat, digest food, eliminate waste, move & reproduce - NOT TO MENTION the DNA blueprints for 10 million DIFFERENT species that evolution comes OUT OF NOWHERE to diversify into the animals on the earth. Yes, it's atheism that desperately needs "magic." You actually believe that IMPOSSIBLE garbage and you can't afford to get this wrong. 100 trillion yrs from now, you'll still be in hell. The REAL question is why should I care about Jesus of the Christian religion? Give me one credible, proveable good reason for why I need to be "saved" by Christianity?

This comment has nothing to do with the video, but I was just looking for a recently made video to comment this. There are kids that are being told that if your not Christian, your not normal. Back when I was in 5th grade, I told everyone I'm an atheist, and for the rest of the year I was bullied, harassed, and given death threats. At recess I would get thrown onto the concrete floor, people would punch me while yelling slurs, and the staff did nothing. I really hope kids now don't have to deal with this...

Most atheists pray when a disaster happens to them and beg to Allah. The Creator, who has infinite power, accepts their prayers and removes the disaster. The person who denies denies it again.
