It just doesn’t look the same without the blue painters tape. You should have “Rudicon” decals made in the shape of torn tape. It’s signature at this point.
Rudy and Janelle, the footage of your clans trip was by far the best quality and editing I’ve seen from your group. Thank you again for sharing you for sharing all your hard work with us.
The Rudicon is looking great! After watching the MORR team build the heavy wreaker for months and months it was amazing to see a glimpse of your Dad running it.
That left lane through Vegas is an express lane so you don't have to deal with the traffic as much and that boarder patrol is actually an agriculture check station. They don't allow unknown fruits, vegetables or live stock into California. It's weird and been there for as long as I can remember.
The Rudicon is looking good. Thanks for another great video! BTW, I was thinking how nice the freshly painted trailer looks (especially the blacked out wheels) when you mentioned the paint hadn't fully cured. With all the abrasion the top surface takes in normal use, that paint wouldn't have stayed perfect for long anyway.
That area has a lot of WASH BOARD roads . KOH has become CRAZY over the years ! We don't go any longer because of the DUST and the Obnoxis people . Johnson Valley is a descant place to ride from Fall to Spring ! Way to HOT in the Summer ! Thanks for sharing . Too bad about your Dads Wrecker .
Remember in a prior segment Rudy borrowed some parts for the Rudicon that were set aside for Janelle's ride? So one is coming down the pike at a later date.
The "border crossing" into Cali dates back to the 80's when the mediteranian fly almost wiped out the fruit crop industry there. They are now also checking for firewood from other states, the borer beatle has done a ton of dammage to the trees in southern UT. Keep up the good work and keep the vids coming!! Enjoying your channel.
I just went with full hydro and hated the upside down steering wheel. There are a ton of aftermarket adapters, quick release stuff, etc. and some of them are crazy expensive. Here's what I did, I pulled off the steering wheel and counted and measured the shaft splines. In my case, the JK splines were 11/16" 36 spline. Exactly the same as most pre-1969 GM shafts. Grant sells 3 bolt adapters for just about every old car, so I just bought one for a 68 firebird and it works great. Put a Longacre wheel on it and no more annoying upside down steering wheel.
I would agree with the “signature” decal idea. Your dad has the yellow paint, Paul has his very distinctive Toyota, Trail Mater is impossible to miss and Merlin has the rat-rod thing all sewed up. You do have the awesome purple shock towers. But, even tho they are distinctive, they are just a tiny fraction of the Rudicon. So to ensure you never again get overshadowed by the “cookie-cutter” Jeep crowd, I think it’s time you found your own look.😊 great work by Janelle on the video.👍🏻
Whats the upgrades or compression ratio of that engine that you're buying higher octane fuel for. 87 would be fine in that jeep if it's all basically stock minus exhaust etc.
On Saturday the 11th of king of hammer's, the winds kicked up blowing south. I live on the other side of the mountain from KOH, on Sat the 11th we had a rain storm. Guess what? All that dust bowl mixed with our rain and we had a mud storm... Thanks KOH
I live basically along the Oregon / California border, on the Oregon side… I love the way you explained the border check stations that California has on their major entries… They are heavily supported by the agricultural areas to the northern 3/5 or so of the state… so these check stations are to quarantine any and all fruits and vegetables that you may be carrying to protect native crops..! Extreme..? Not for me to say, remember, I’m from the Oregon side of the border…😂
Decades ago, California ag industry was decimated by invasive bugs including the Mediterranean Fruit Fly. California has since used an abundance of caution to protect their $16 billion + industry.
Finally bought my first jeep a few weeks ago. 2000 xj. 4in lift 31s. Front winch bumper and rear tubed bumper. Ordering new rockers for it(rest of body/unibody is solid barely any rust) and ill be fabing up some rock sliders.
Probably an epoxy paint over a good primer will work nicely. The same stuff they put on garage floors perhaps if you have the right metal primer first. Either epoxy paint or textured truck bed liner paint.
10:31 Great Surprise swing a Toyota GTS rallying. It is one awesome car - red top engine was basically a race engine - tough - did a little “wheeling” in the back roads of the UP to get to my camp grounds overlooking Lake Superior. Good memories from so many many years ago
Nice video Rudy and Janelle! Looks like an awesome and very interesting time there. It sucks that Matt had such a difficult time , I hope that he was able to find the parts and get it repaired quickly. Thumbs UP !!
Full hydro is tractor equipment. Off-road heaven too. For roads it’s goofy and don’t stay straight. Won’t even speak on the legality of it. I still love it.
Love it, the not jeep thing 😂 (it’s a prized possession for many Australians) Rudicon looks like it handled itself, wrecker is a beast. Very entertaining.
Dang this was seriously fun to watch, can't wait to see more footage from the King of Hammers! I never thought i'd be in to this, but here I am! Great video you guys!
KOH is only one desert event out in Ca. You Guys should try the Imperial Sand Dunes (A.K.A. Glamis) on the week between Christmas and New Years Day. It is also a city of KOH proportion! Bring your other toys, too!
As the former owner of a 1988 Toyota Corolla GT-S....it was painful seeing the body damage, knowing how few parts are still out there for the AE92, but it was a treat seeing one of those out doing stuff because again...not very many of them out there anymore.
That's like Glamis CA on Thanksgiving weekend. during my first 33 years (I grew up near LA), we spent many days about 90 minutes from where KOH is. We always went over to El Mirage dry lake, a lot of times just for the day. Off road get-togethers like that are amazing.
After watching the building of TWLORW (The World's Largest Off road Wrecker) for so long, I was so excited to see it rock climbing - doing it's first shake down off road! Then excited to see it's first rescue (however mundane)! Then....aww, I was disappointed to see it breakdown! But, a pretty interesting video!
Where to go Rudy.. boy someone to go to make a lot of money selling their filters. Did your dad get a t-shirt for getting towed out.🤷🏽♂️👍🏽🤙🏾💪🏽🙋🏽♂️😊😎.
Hey Rudy! Love your fun channel content. And what a super fun time down at Hammer Town! Next time you go through Vegas, make sure you stop for fuel at the big brand new Maverick on the N end of town on your left as your coming into Vegas. I hope your channel takes off and you do well my friend! Love the G rated family friendly content. If i could make a content suggestion….try and find opportunities to help people in need…like maybe a single mother that desperately needs a car, or a young man that needs help with his car. Those types of “do good to others” stories are super fun and interesting to watch. And it blesses lives for those who are less fortunate. You could call it “ vans for moms” or something like that. Find single mothers in need and deliver a car / mini van to them. Just a friendly suggestion!
I’m a total novice at off-roading but onX off-road was a godsend on my trip out west to visit Colorado,Utah and Arizona. Always download the maps though ALWAYS
Love the video, but especially loved you saying Nevada correctly. I know it's petty but it's not hard and we appreciate it when people say it right. Amazing rig man. Love it!
I thought it was ironic. The first vehicle towed buy "MorrThorr" was a Toyota,, then it was a Toyota Chevrolet hybrid towed it out. Yes finding new week points is fun!! I enjoy all the videos
Rudy, Jeep is looking great! Janelle is the type of lady I'd like to find. Someone who will do stuff like this with me, take pics, take vids, and even drive my Jeep some times. Oh a lil older too! Y'all I think are younger than my kids! LOL
Rudy , next time your painting with a dead line add to your paint this product called “Japan Dryer” . Just follow the directions on the can. It speeds up the drying. It’s available at a Sherrington Williams store.
Real nice to see you with the MORR crew again
Well matts his pop hes always morr
He said he went by his dads shop....matt
Janelle seems like a real sweetheart Rudy, well done!
Janelle looked more excited than Rudy :)
Do not let that girl get away!
It just doesn’t look the same without the blue painters tape. You should have “Rudicon” decals made in the shape of torn tape. It’s signature at this point.
I concur!
Maybe Robbie can put it back on when he gets to paint's🎨 it.
@@lenny9926 great idea! I bet Robby can rig something cool up in the paint booth! 🤘
AND up grade to never dun … closer to the truth 😂
Uhh No!

its more raw I'll give them that.
That crossing in CA is the agricultural check station, Florida has them too.
The Rudicon is looking great! After watching the MORR team build the heavy wreaker for months and months it was amazing to see a glimpse of your Dad running it.
Rudy and Janelle it looked like Y'all had some fun. And Rudy it was nice seeing you with your dad and the crew y'all are having a lot of fun there

I love how everyone stops to help everyone, just like in the horse world I ride, it’s a family!
You help if a horse breakdown?
Horses don't have axles....Do they??
@@idontknow2293 No axles and when they get hurt...
🐴🔫☠
@@sam_s_ You wouldn't? What? You don't think an animal can breakdown? pfft 'City slickers!!!" 🤣🤣🤣
Especially when they're blocking the path
California is a big agriculture state. Bug check at the state line helps to keep contamination down.
Great camera work Janelle. Love your channel Rudy. 👍👍
Fun video with a little bit of everything. Also, nice catch on Matt's open tool box door Rudy, that saved him a lot of headache and money.
It was nice seeing you hanging out with the old gang.
7:06 that’s the look of panic on Rudy’s face!
"Paul is hooked up with his 'not Jeep thing'..." One more reason I love this channel.
Land Rovers go anywhere too !
The old defender 109 and 110 yew.. but the newer models siv are just craps
Matt taking the Haul of Shame!
@@yodiemember I know, but I prefer Rudy's description. 😁
@@ripvanrevs how is it shame if this was just testing not finished vehicle

I'm guessing someone is going to want her OWN off road rig. We'd love to see you guys build one!
There is that red WJ and I would love to see an extreme WJ build.
He can't even finish his... don't make Rudy build two... half done rigs... 🤣

I can’t believe that California allows this fantastic event!
You should see what the rest of the desert is like.
Private property and off road makes any restrictions hard to come up with
Cool stuff Rudy and Janelle. The Rudicon did very well, that was some gnarly stuff. Thanks for taking me along.

Glad y’all got to go and experience KOH.
Neat to get your perspective on such a krazy event.
The Rudicon did great.
Another great adventure!! So happy you have someone to share it with! Rudicon is looking awesome!
Janelle needs her own jeep. She is a keeper!
Fuel light comes on 😂😂😂😂. Rudy, you ARE your father’s son for sure. 😂😂😂
Great job Rudy and Janelle! I've really enjoyed watching this event from the different perspectives (Matt's,, Chad's, Paul's, Rudy's, etc).

Limit on Diesel is set differently than Petroleum folks. You can bypass the "limit" by hanging up the nozzle and going through the pay process again.
It has nothing to do with the type of fuel. It's the card you use. They limit it to, usually, $100. They started doing that to mitigate fuel theft.
