Indiana Beach was announced to be closing forever this past winter until a buyer stepped up and reopened the park.

Yeah so now that the park is saved why hasn't someone done something about saving the 🐟🐟🐟 🐟🐟🐟 from these horrific conditions???? Almost a buck to feed them when u barely can and they can barely get close enough due to all this littering. I cannot believe the conditions were this terrible!!! This park is banking by charging guests to feed fish that leave in a Cesspool of trash??? There is no excuse for this shit. Doesn't anyone realize how simple this is to fix the solution????? Seeing this was from several months ago I'm hoping something has been done. I swear if i lived there the issue would've been fixed in a day if i had to row my ass out there myself and clean up that shit. Fish have feelings to Indiana!!!!

Since i was 9.
I grew up in Indiana. Last time I was at Indiana beach was 2002. I can tell you there were alot of things that changed. The walk area with the fountain use to be a miniature golf area, they also had another miniature golf area underneith the sky ride near water park, the bumper boats use to be these boats you would ride out in (usually had 2 boats) you could shoot tennis balls at the boats the boats could shoot tennis balls at the people given there was a safety net and plastic between the people, there was also a train that went back and forth in back and you could shoot them from train to, Frankenstein's haunted castle use to be walk thru with no animatronics, the bar area use to have some fancy restaurant and dining haul with an arcade underneith it, there is to be two idol statues out front, there use to be a frog slide, and snake floaties in the beach area, no lazy river but spray fountain, they also use to have that calydoscope thing you strap yourself into during the 90s and spun around, the pirate shooter ride use to be a haunted house ride like knobels that changed in 1997, the kiddie area use to have red Baron planes that were fun and you had a joystick you would pull back and go up in air, the car ride use to be winky the whale, they had a convoy kid ride to. There was another arcade near the music express, steel hawg and cornball express didn't exsist yet.
The odd area with the fountain use to be a mini golf course, awhile back.
Maybe they should bring that back for their next addition.
My dad used to take me to that mini golf course when I was little. I loved it! Sometimes we'd lose a ball in the lake. I sure wish they would bring it back, good memories.
Finally someone that highlighted the carp feeding! It might be the most iconic thing at Indiana Beach. I've been going to Indiana Beach since the '70s and the carp have always been there. I had to laugh when they turned it into an attraction. We just used to throw some of our popcorn into the water to watch the carp swim over each other to get it. Now you can actually buy carp food. Ha!

cement slab on the south end was the last hole when the mini golf was there. If you walk up you will still see the hole in the middle.
WOW! That gift shop is so retro cool! Reminds me of the souvenirs from my childhood trips! Wish there were more gift shops like that these days!
Love Indiana beach I hope the new owner puts in a new coaster some time in the next year or two would be amazing
New Coaster being added for 2021 Season likely going in next to Steele Hog a Triple loop Shwartzkoph their are videos on YT about it now.

Some of that merchandise in the gift shop has been there for at least 30 years. I remember seeing those mini coffee cups the first time I went there back in 1990. It's entirely plausible that they've been there that long, I doubt there's a high demand for that type of souvenir.
I just went too indiana beach and I was one of the only ones social distancing and wearing a mask and washing my hands and people looked at me funny. Also they charged 3 dollars for a little tiny water bottle for me. I agree with you, this is not the year.
They just opened and they are trying to get up to snuff but think we need to give them more time. They haven't even had it a year. Still better then any amusement park as far as wait times for rides. I can't wait to see them succeed. Personally if I was worried about the virus I would stay home. Common sense people.
I was there 7/29. The carp feeding area had been cleaned of all the garbage. The Shafer Queen and log flume were both operating, but sadly the Lost Coaster was closed. While not all guests wore masks, the employees were, so I felt as safe as anywhere else. I couldn't find any free water either. There are not even any drinking fountains there.
Great review, but the best airtime on the cornball Express is the back seat it was designed special for more airtime.

I was there on Saturday, 07/25/2020, & Lost Coaster was closed! It was my first time visiting so I was hugely disappointed b/c that coaster was why I went in the first place!
Aww that sucks... I know they are trying to have that one be open more often now under the new ownership. We are supposed to go next Friday and I'm still deciding if it is worth it to go if we've never been
Coasters and Cosplays thanks! The Lost Coaster, the Air Crow & the riverboat rides were the only rides not operating. Definitely go, maybe you’ll get lucky! I’m planning on going again in the future. Perhaps they’ll have things more up & running later in the cooler months. Plus they’re installing a Flying Bobs ride too!
Last year I was there the Shafer queen ya know the boat with the big wheel on the back crashed into the boardwalk cuz it was having problems running all day and they lost control of it😂😂
This does have the possibility to be the Knoebles of the Midwest, Gene Staples is certainly doing this park good. In a couple of years I’m really looking forward to seeing how it looks.

The Indiana governor just issued a state wide mask mandate this past week so things may be getting better in the near future.
The only way things can get better in the near future is if they find a cure for the virus. Thankfully they're feeling confident in their current test results and one could be found by September at the earliest.
They need to clean the carp fish thing.
You are right ! It seems a good idea to me, to call an institution for animal protection. It is terrible to see so many hungry carps in this very dirty water. It hurts my heart and soul, poor carps.
the fish show up on their own, they aren't caged or anything.... calm down.

@@johnny85er but the feeding draws the attention of the carp which means it is a hangout for them and your point of them not having to be there is dumb because if there’s food, they will go there and we can’t tell them to leave, if they’re always there it needs to be cleaned, idk how you can say it doesn’t need to be especially when all you need to do it grab a net and scoop it all out.
Wow a trip down memory lane! Used to go here all the time with my church. Sad there's no adherence to the pandemic guidelines. Great to see the fish still there. That was the highlight of the park...feeding them. But omg pls clean the lake!

Started going to that park in 1990 and the last time I was there was 2000. Thanks for the tour. It brings back great memories. I'm happy the parked was saved. And those fuckin carp are STILL there!! Lol
U say that like it's a bad thing???? It's terrible the conditions their living in!!!! Practically a dollar to feed them when they can barely get to u because of all the fucking trash!!! This is a park for families in America for christ sakes not some fucking mud swamp in a 3rd world country there's no excuse for all this trash. If u get caught throwing trash out your car your slapped with a hefty fine. WTF is up with the littering laws and protection of wildlife in Indiana???

I'd already been there for a long time for about 6 year's and im going there this summer
They need to clean up the carpas keep tables clean at all times.
Lost coaster actually came with three trains. The ride is only capable of running two, and the Staples family have expressed a commitment to getting a second one running.
The interactives on the dark ride had significantly improved by the end of the season to about 95% functionality, and the ride went from having only three functioning vehicles to seven.
It really is a shame that the park is doing such a poor job of handling the pandemic. I understand that their local market will not adhere to those guidelines willingly. The park is in a very tough spot where they need locals to come and support it, but they also need to set standards that will make tourists feel safe and comfortable as well. With the addition of Dreier looping next year, they are really going to shoot themselves in the foot if they fail to be able to attract travelers from coming in. Probably the most significant addition this park has ever seen that could actually bring in people from around the country will fail to pay off now that the park has a reputation for very poor practices in dealing with the pandemic. I’m very anxious to see how everything plays out for them from here. More than anything though, I am beyond thrilled that the park was saved And has been making marked improvements all year.
22:16 That could be a great place for something there missing, a launched coaster and another family coaster. Perhaps they could put in a Zamperla Motocoaster in that area.

They still have the water show. I used to live in Indiana and I'm 31 now and I've been the Indiana beach 30 years I used to work there if you don't have anything nice to say about my home State Park then don't go back because it is the best one that is in the area

I was there a couple days ago. My bummers were a closed Lost Coaster, I've already ridden it but my friends haven't. Then I discovered that Apex completely ruined the S&S tower... seat belt around the waist and decreased air pressure to point the point of practically no air time.

In the Loop It’s only worth riding for the view. Hopefully Gene gets the tower running the way it should be
Unfortunately they have had alot of issues because apex did not keep up good on Maintenance next year it will be much better and they are getting a new Ground Ride and New Triple loop Rollercoaster

I would say it’s possible, but Holiday World is over 4 hours away from Indiana Beach
Indiana beach is in the middle of nowhere, but it's closer to Chicago than anything else.
A dollar for ice water is pretty reasonable, considering what a bottled water cost.

It was sad to see the carp trying to eat with all of that trash in the way. That water needs to be skimmed.
Probably should have set an example and made sure masks were worn by everyone..... including employees...... seeing that this was recorded in 2020

The amount of trash at the carpet feeding area is disgusting and sad. The park should have some pride. Geauga Lake never looked like that. I love these small family amusement parks. Hopefully the new owner works on cleaning it up.

I can't stop 💧💧💧💧💧 this is so making me 😠😠😠 i had paused the video to immediately comment my feelings on these conditions the fish are living in ended up leaving several more. So when i went to finish the video i was praying that part was over but it wasn't and there was a bit more of it to watch and I'm fucking livid right now!!! I want to Thankyou for filming this and getting it out there because with the success of your channel and it's viewing/exposure there's a much better chance for these babies to live in livable conditions how the fuck can they charge customer's to feed these fishes and allow them to live this way when there banking from them it's so disgusting. I feel like a koo koo right now because I'm so sad like i can't barely type my feelings due to over crying this just did something to me emotionally there's no excuse for this shit and there starving that's obvious trash is going in there mouths majority of them aren't even getting the food they so desperately need because how can they get it. Guests are paying to feed the trash point blank!!!! I'm about to get off here and find out if anything has been done. Amd they shouldn't be in starving mode either. They need a clean fixed up lagoon where they never have to drown in trash again. It's bad enough to see this in the oceans and scattered stretch of wild land's but to see it somewhere that there profiting off of this one thing that there not caring about!!!! There's no way in hell whoever saved the place and bought it out knows nothing about these conditions. It's to easy of a solution to be putting a stall on!!! Your the big owner who has much on your plate so purchase me a non-refundable round way bus 🎟 as well as the materials that's needed and I'll come out there and do it all for FREE!!!!!! Seriously this isn't fucking clickbait in any sense of the word nor joke I'm simply telling u that i will fix this for FREE!!!

The whole state of Indiana is handling covid poorly, I went to Holiday World two weeks ago and it ruined it for me. Deflecting hoosiers and their dumb kids all day was not fun to say the least. I was determined to ride the Voyage though.
Look at all the people not wearing masks, including staff. This park clearly didn’t learn a damn thing from the shaming they got on their Opening Day.
Out of all my travels this summer, Indiana Beach by far handled the ongoing global health situation the worst

Glad this place was saved, but I hope they "get it together" and practice better cleaning routines and such.
Disneyland and other parks had mask requirements and social distancing markers around their parks plus plenty of places markers to keep people away from each other

The park doesn’t own Lake Shafer. That would be more so an issue with Monticello, Indiana or White County. Unfortunately like everywhere else people throw stuff in the water and the waves take it to shore or in this case next to the boardwalk.

Why is that being aloud when it wouldn't take much to at least net up the trash. 🐟 🐟 are a highly intelligent species and their treated horrifically.
