36mm is to small for a men‘s wrist. I can‘t image who will buy such a small watch. The 36mm Rolex Explorer is also not selling well because of the size.
Just received mine in the mail today. first impressions are very good! Fits very comfortably on the wrist. Really like the very restrained design with subtle details too. With the grooved chapter ring circling around the entire face. The titanium has a nice consistent finish throughout. Also a nice surprise to find how the hands numerals and dots on the minute track all have a lum application. The 36mm size is great too. Very true. The only real downside is how it’s limited to 1999 pieces. I also believe that this should be a full production regular release. Because I feel like it would sell very well. Also feel like this is more than just a new dial. Looking at the Hamilton website and comparing it with the other field watches on offer. This looks like a completely new tooling.
@@Midniteburger it is a flat black dial. If the light hits it at just the right angle then it does give off a slight sunburst effect. It may have something to do with the way the light passes through the sapphire crystal.
Sorry to bother you, but I would be really interested in the watches lug to lug. Would it be possible for you to measure it and post the results here? :)
Hi Harrison. I was in the new Lakeside CH branch today, and mentioned you and your fabulous camera work and how it needs to be on the walls in all the stores. Hi to the lovely Bonnie in that store too! On my wrist today, Green Omega SMP. Great video, as always!
Great review - this is wot Tudor should've done with the last Ranger iteration. I had the original Heritage Ranger, and it was like wearing a clock on your wrist as a 41mm field watch...36mm is super sweet. I have the Tudor BB 54 and 37mm is perfect for me. And boring IS timeless. The Sinn 556i is still a relevant piece due to its minimalist monochrome design. Love this piece...Tempted!
How would you rate the lume quality? I know that Hamilton doesn’t shine particularly in this regard, but honestly I love the design. The sad thing is that I’m a big fan of watches with good lume.
I would love to see these model as a main Collection from the brand, not only as a special edition. Also would like to see more colors and more variants. These all black with a pop of color like red would be cool
I think what some people are missing is that when a niche fashion brand like EG does a collab like this, it’s not meant for the masses, it’s meant for their customers. This isn’t a watch for watch guys, this is a watch for Engineered Garments guys who might have never owned a Hamilton before. It’s limited because that is a very niche target market: fans of their clothing brand who want a good, simple watch to wear along with the rest of their military-inspired Engineered Garments pieces
There's no point in limiting. It's not in that fashion brand colors, or logo, or related to it in any way. It's not like Rolex with Domino's logo on the dial. Here, no connection is made.
@ ok so you have absolutely no idea what Engineered Gamrnets is. Never even heard of it before this video. What exactly qualifies you to be so confidently incorrect? Simplicity is what they do. Go look at their Hoka collabs. They don’t have a signature colorway, they don’t blast their label over their products. This is nothing like Supreme..
@@void1984 also the fact that you brought up Dominos like that was an official collab offered to the public shows me that you’re not even a watch guy, you’re just yappin’
Wow, nice one! The size is great. It's a pitty they don't do the Murph in that size. I agree, this watch shouldn't be limited (and in steel would be great).
I’d agree, it’s a little unfortunate that it’s so limited, I’d definitely buy one if they did a lower cost less limited version maybe even in steel, great looking watch tho
I downloaded a picture from their website and tried to reverse engineer the lug to lug by pixel measuring and arrived at a lug to lug of about 44mm. Don’t take my word for it tho, it’s a very thought estimate.
@@TheHypeCom nicely done! I figured it would be about that but you never know with Hamiltons. Odd that a hands on video with the watch didn’t mention either measurement.
Overall pretty cool release from EG and Hamilton. Price is meh, I dig the case back but wish there was still something subtle on the dial to indicate it’s an EG collab. And for a brand all about the details, no micro adjust is a miss
I completely agree that this should be a run-of-the-mill Hamilton. It's a shame that it isn't. I love this watch. The regular field watch is ridiculously busy. 24 hr markers? Good Lord. The entire watch face is a blob of text. But... If they started to make this regularly, without the Engineered Garments name on it, what would that do to these limited run pieces? They wouldn't be too special anymore, would they? So why should there be any optimism or hope that Hamilton would do that?
In any case a 36 mm never could be for my 7,5" wrist. I have the 41 mm Expedition and yes this is a great piece that I like much more and fits me great.
I couldn’t possibly agree more that this should be a standard model and not a limited edition. The lack of connection to Engineered Garments is the only thing that kept me from buying this watch the moment I saw it.
So really you want titanium Hamilton’s. Hahaha but I agree. They could introduce a titanium with a full crystal back and roll with it. Leave this “limited” edition alone and just make a version in the regular line. Love to see a Murph in titanium.
Looks great. I just for the life of me can't figure out why they don't make the crystal anti reflective and put have decent lume on the numerals and hands. That's been the only downfall of this watch for a decade.
I have to agree Hamilton.. err apologies Harrison (as always) this should be a regular Hamilton reference. Over the last few years I've moved more to include smaller watches in the collection (but not excluding larger watches), It all comes down to how the watch looks and wears I guess. I might be tempted at some point but the cost of a non numbered (from what I could see in the video) limited edition is too much. I'll be sticking with my Hamilton Khaki 38 titanium green dial. You just might have forgotten the "What's on your wrist?" bit on this one. Many thanks for sharing.
@ they are about the only ones. I’d like to see it on more than just dive watches. There’s no reason not to at this point. I mean we are paying luxury prices give us the comfort.
You couldn't make it through the video without saying 'it needs a white dial'. The Omega Black Pearl (on wrist now) or the Hanhart HD-12 are better, albeit more expensive, alternatives to this watch.
I was in police special operations for many years and I never saw anyone wearing a small watch. I once heard a Canadian armed forces medic instructor say that he loved working with the guys with the big watches.
Retailing for £1070 🤣 They'll drop by at least 50%(if not more) when the impulse buyers have gotten board of them and they end up as expensive display fillers.

I loved my 36mm field watch until my gf told me it is definitely too small. Pun intended
@@JSweeting Exactly that. 36mm = Smaller wrists.
So why then are they (and 38mm) talked about as if wrist size does not matter?

does the dial have this slight sunburst effect like in the video? Static images show it being completely black

This watch is love at first sight for me. Just ordered one.
Just perfect. Finally with flat glass & 36mm case. Meant to be boring simple easy to read. 10/10
I love mine. Perfect size for me. The everyday watch I have been waiting for.
As far as I know the normal titanium khakis cost the same as this limited edition. The only thing really exclusive to this one is the 36mm size
Simpler dial and flat sapphire glass too
Love the sheer simplicity.

Love that it is not finished in fauxtina lume. Sick of fauxtina. Love the seconds hand extended to the minute/seconds track.
Wish they made starter introducing screw down crowns on the Khaki fields

They're going to do non limited versions of this, right?
The dial reminds me a lot of the stowa partitio, but a watch like this with a metal bracelet just looks superb.
You didn’t tell us the lug width, or how much the bracelet tapers. I would be curious to know that.
I truly hope Hamilton brings out a bigger (36mm is too small for my 7.5 inch wrist), non-limited, white dial version of this in the near future.
They already make that in a bunch of colors.
Add a date window and it'd be an instant buy for me.
Where can I get this
one of the main reasons I bought the khaki was the red tipped second hand, I'd say this one really needs it.
Prefer the white. However I love orange-red seconds hand on vintage skin divers
Was about to get a 38mm murph. Now Im definitely after this
Just ordered this.
Is the bracelet 18/16mm?
Love Hamilton. Have a KF mechanical and a murph . Think I still prefer the murph although the 36 size is great. Hmm

That is the size of my 1949 Omega Tresor. There is a benefit of sliding under the radar. If you want notice hire a brass band!

Tissot PRX Carbon or this one?

Next!! Murph titanium
+1 on a white dial version with no faux patina!
What are the other examples of Hamilton giving us what we want, other than a 38mm Murph?
I wish it was 38-40mm but I’m happy for those who are into the smaller size, especially women often don’t like going over 36mm in my experience
cannot believe Hamilton still doesn't have any plan to improve the lume section of their watches, for so long!!
HAMILTON... please release a 36mm field with shorter lugs... mech or auto, date or no date, JUST PLEASE! NEXT YEAR!
Very cool😎
on the fly clasp and that would have been bought today

Only issue with this watch is the size. 36mm is a bit too small for most men, I think.
37 or 37.5 even would hv been perfect!

boring means timeless, still i wish it was stainless steel.
I want to root for Hamilton, but that h10 movement has a reputation for the reversing gear locking up and rotor seizing 😢
I love my 3 Kahki Hamiltons but this from the front is so boring and slightly small by modern standards, love the back though
Wish they sold it in 38-39mm.
At a glance it Looks like a sinn 556
Is this Hamilton also made in China?
GOOGLE IT.
Push-pull crown sucks. Titanium is easy to scratch. Hanhart would win if existed, but it does not. Size is perfect.
Need steel, 40 mm, in no date with this design
The Hahnart HD12 is much better!
36mm Rolex Explorer substitute.
Screw-down crown ❓200m WR❓ Hardened case ❓
This looks like Christopher Ward Sandhurst 1 which is a homage of Smiths W10 military watch. Nice! The movement sucks though.
A Sinn or Damasko are better value at the same price point.

36mm ? 39/40 mm then id have a look but 36 , not for me.
What about a 42? Longines manages to make watches in a variety of sizes.
Don't like 36
my only gripe is that it should be 38mm
A bit thick. T)
That watch shouldn't cost more than $50. It's plain, cheaply made and has no redeeming qualities besides being the boring, safe choice. Hard pass.
