Been looking for a white dial field watch and maybe this is the one. But only concern is how legible the beige on white numerals/hands are. It's why I prefer the mechanical to the new quartz version. I need to be able to read the time!
Those sandblasted greyish hands look bad. If they were polished it would have complimented the polished bezel and would look more sophisticated. Or something darker for a better contrast. Otherwise white dial is great.
I find the cream numerals on white difficult to read. This doesn’t hit like the White Speedy. Probably still going to be a hit😊 Great video, Harrison, as always .
The Murph is the perfect one watch collection: Bracelet for daily & water. Tan sailcloth or canvas for casual. And factory or exotic leather for dress scenarios.
Harrison check out the Strap Taylor’s leather straps. I had one made for my Hamilton Khaki Field 40mm on a champagne dial. The straps were soft and well made. Soo comfortable from the off go. No breaking in required. Made to order they are beautifully made and over a year on is wearing brilliantly. Can’t sing their praises enough. 🙂👏👏👏
Wrist check: Tsuki-yomi A-T “Blood Moon” Tried on both these watches yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the white dial in person. It’s texture is a feast for the eyes. Also liked the bracelet better than the strap - wish they sold a white dial bracelet with bracelet instead of forcing you to buy separate!
I'm wearing my 42mm original murph on a black & yellow nato right now--absolutely love this thing. The white here is nice but I prefer the original black. I hope they release the bracelet separately for both size models at some point
Can never go wrong with a Hammy! Value packed in at a great price, built tough, definitely lives up to "tool watch" while deliving a great look. White Murph is awesome.
Casio G-Shock GW-M5610 (combi bracelet) on my wrist today. Taking out trash, getting some groceries, going to the gym kind of day. Will be rocking my.38mm white Khaki Expedition on bracelet later to finish my day off.
It’s a beautiful watch! Love the white dial on the leather, but the black on the bracelet is also a great looking piece. Hamilton value for money is among the best out there. Great vid!
@@ChisholmHunterOfficial ah equally love the black dial and white dial version, I lean towards black dial field watches, as white dial field or dress watches look larger and look larger on my small wrists. A white dialled diver (or watch with a rotated bezel) I like, as the dial is smaller so there isn't the illusion of looking larger.
I think this is like new Omega SpeedMaster - so much more stylish! I love the ref to Interstellar, that was a brilliant move from Hamilton! I start thinking-to create a video about that ;) That is how I loved that!
Love my murph mini. After getting the black nato strap as summer option, I’m looking to get the bracelet as next addition to cover all options with it. 😊
The white dial is cool, but I'm all about that black dial on bracelet. I have similar watches already from Seiko (grey SBDC119/SPB159) "baby" Alpinist on Alpinist bracelet, Seiko SZSB006 (TicTAC), Monta Triumph, blue Alpinist (SPB089). I don't NEED it, but I want it now that it's on bracelet. It would pair well with my Hamilton "Cooper" though. 🤔The quick release on the bracelet is all that much sweeter on a field watch that works well on many straps. I am surprised the white dial does not come on bracelet, but I imagine that will happen later like it did on the Khaki Expedition line.
Wearing my Tudor BB Heritage steel bezel. That’s on a Tudor black distressed leather strap. Class watch. My Hamilton Khaki Scuba is in for a new crystal as I smashed it at work. Should be wearing my G-shock for work from now on. Hamilton are a great value watch.
Damn g you're the first. I watched Hamilton's web page to look at this watch and I was like"I wonder if any on yt posted something bout it" thanks a lot ❤
The Murph does not have the morse code on the 2nd hand and was true to Interstellar. Enough of us made a stink about it and we got the Smurf 38 mm, which came with that Easter egg. I have the Coop from the movie since it was offered on a bracelet. Great watches. Happy to see the popularity rising.
I had the first murph. Beautiful but i sold it for two main reasons: 1) i did not like the leather strap 2) way too large. Now with the 38mm on metal bracelet, these 2 problems are solved :) i think I'm gonna buy the black one cuz i don't like the white one :)
The white dial looks crispy, but I'm not sure how I like the beige/khaki Arabic numerals on top of it. I'd like it better with more contrast. I just ordered the black dial 38mm one with a leather strap from a Hamilton AD in the US (look for the Halloween and Black Friday deals, got 25% off myself), so I'm pretty excited to get it on my wrist! I might buy the bracelet from Hamilton if they sell it separately, or maybe an Uncle Senator 3-link bracelet. Oh yeah, I'm wearing a Casio G-SHOCK GW6900NASA24-1. I'm a sucker for outer space, what can I say?
Glad to see Hamilton have finally realised anti reflective coatings were invented. Always avoided Hamilton's due to the glare on the crystal but might consider one now.
IWC Pilot's Chronograph 41, racing green dial on green rubber strap. would love to see a review of that bad larry! As for the white Murph...they shoulda put black surrounds on hands and indices to make it more legible and have more definition and contrast.
By the way, the reason why I love my grandfather’s vintage watch is because of the leather strap; in a way, I get closer to him, as he warn the leather strap in.
Hanhart Preventor HD12 costs more than this but I would rather save a bit and get that instead of the Murph. Hardened steel, 150m water resist, original design that the Murph is inspired by.. and has a blue dial! Plus I’d be supporting TGV and a smaller (but still stories) brand.
@@achillesdanieladam9486 I absolutely love my hydroconquest, but the one thing that bugs me is the clasp. The newer models are much better but the previous models are a bit iffy. Clasp aside, I think it’s flawless for the price. I cannot tell you about the Murph, however.
@@arisaga822 exactly this is my thinking. This hydro bracelet is putting me in stress. Is it very difficult to open? Also can you easily find the right fit with its micro adjustments?
I've got a field watch with a cream dial and heat-blued hands. The legibility is way ahead of the white version here; they should have considered a handset more like the one at 4:16
I love the white dial, I would buy it immediately. Now, I don't understand why Hamilton always does the same thing: put bracelets on some and not on others. It should do like other brands that think more about the customer: these are the dial colors, all available on leather strap or bracelet, as the customer chooses.
I really like the Murph but have always preferred the 42mm but wish they would do a 40. The leather straps are not my cup of tea though. Broken in or not.
Really cool releases by Hamilton, but you know what? I think I still prefer the 38 with the black dial on the leather strap. The bracelet doesn't really suit the vibe of the watch IMO and the faux patina against the bright white dial leaves something to be desired for me.. Still cool that Hamilton is expanding this line, though. I'm wearing my SMP today but almost wish I grabbed my murph after seeing this video

second hand is too light for me. glad i went with the standard khaki auto instead of the movie hype ones. hamilton's leather straps suck the break in period is a fallacy, hamilton's sit nicer on nato's no questions
I like the white dial but I'm not a fan of the pale yellow lume. I'm trying to think of a reason to buy the white to go with my black but I don't see myself wearing it because of the pale numerals. It would also need another call to Uncle Seiko. I can't even imagine why the bracelet isn't available on the white. A watch needs to be pretty much perfect for me to pick it up these days and this one isn't.

I second this. And just simple white hands

Nice one
I'm wearing my Murph 38 on a green Nato strap and it looks ridiculously awesome! It changes the vibe from dressy to a military vibe straight away!
It definitely does, good choice, I think a nato on the white dial would be epic, what do you think?
The Murph is the perfect one watch collection: Bracelet for daily & water. Tan sailcloth or canvas for casual. And factory or exotic leather for dress scenarios.
I like my dark brown (cow leather) alligator print. Contrasts well

There is so much discrimination against people who wear 42mm in the watch community!!
