The new Tag Heuer Dato is nothing short of phenomenal. I tried it on once and it immediately became my next watch. The green dial needs to be seen in person to fully appreciate the watch
The Hamilton Murph will be my first Swiss watch. I’m getting it as a gift… yes I am someone that tells you the exact model number I want. The black dial 38 with the leather strap btw… 😅😅😅
Man, just not into this stuff anymore. There is a freedom of not owning bunch of materialistic stuff. I mention this because yes, if need be I get a sport coat. Cars, I drive for experiences not caring to impress. Love my built Lotus which is a tool not transportation. Everyday and old Lexus GX470 that is worn in and comfortable. Only own one watch that my parents gave me a Breitling and I wear if event. I think when you get older and have means, I think you either worry about others think or you move to, do not care. Passing on material things, then the thing becomes an idol. People and experiences much more valuable.
I’m a big fan of the Tag Glassbox especially the black dial. The price point however I think is steep, the same way I think Omega pricing has gone nuts
For many of us who've been in the watch game for more than five minutes, Heuer is remembered as a legendary watch brand, while Tag Heuer is/was known to be a crappy, overpriced mall watch. Tag Heuer understands this, which is why the current "renaissance" the brand has been enjoying amongst millennials is being powered almost entirely by the reintroduction of half century old iconic Heuer designs.
I'd had Casios and multiple Swatches before moving onto Raymond Weils, but my first supposedly "luxury" watch purchase was a Carrera 45 Dato. Fantastic watches - personally I much prefer the first execution with date at 12 because you don't lose any chronograph functionality and have a symmetrical dial but date at 9 has a lot of fans too. I do like to see them harking back to their past - I'd much rather have a close facsimile of a 60s Carrera (albeit boosted from 36mm to 39mm) than a Carrera with external bezel (which never happened under Heuer).
Sorry to rain on your parade however Rolex Explorer not the first watch to make it to the top of the Everest. It was a Smiths, the largest British watchmaker at the time... Long story... #IYKNY
I would agree that vacheron is top of the holy trinity in terms of the complications they are able to do. The trouble is they are the bottom in terms of popularity so i doubt many others would agree.
Thanks for the breakdown! Just a quick off-topic question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
Sorry but these are the same old watches and brands AGAIN. It's like you recycle about 5 different videos and mix them up. I get it, you represent a watch shop and are obviously limited to what watches you're pushing but it just gets boring.

Ok, Tag Heuer - interesting history Tissot - affordable Omega - was on Moon Cartier - tank design Rolex - was on Everest Grand Seiko - unique dial and mechanism Hamilton - appearence in Interstellar IWC - great pilot But why Tudor and Patek Philippe?? I don't get why they are so special.
The main problem for me is that the quality is so bad nowadays. The quality is much better and the prices are much lower in kislux small boutiques. There is just no marketing. When I was a little girl the luxury goods were much better than the cheaper brands.
Just think how much nicer Tag Heuer would be if they lost the TAG from their dials and just went back to Heuer! TAG sounds and looks crap (I have an Aquaracer and I would love it to just say Heuer). Great video Harrison, as always!
Tudor... loved by people who either (a) want a rolex and either cant fund or acquire it. Or (b) They have a rolex or five, but don't want to scratch their rolex. So they keep the nice ones in a box.... but wear the Rolex Homage piece (tudor) and don't care if it gets banged up.
@@Greysprunkiyay I dont even own a Rolex lol. I went to ginza in Tokyo with my daughter a few weeks back and she got more compliments on her time snoopy than I did on my Lange. I don't mind Rolex, but still think Tudor is an homage brand at best
@@GreysprunkiyayNO dude you're reaching. People buy Rolex for exactly 💯 what they are. Tough and durable that they can wear doing anything. Not everyone wants a fragile hand made piece with 30m or wr that you have to baby the shit out of
G Shock - not just no... HELL no! Casio $10 - would rather guess the time PRX - waffle dials, yuk, but LOVE the bracelet! Moonwatch - sooo cliché, nope Cartier - WILDLY overpriced, plus roman numerals are a deal-breaker Rolex - 5 cooler watches for the same price! Tudor - nice, but LOTS of options for cheaper without giving up quality. Snowflake - why is there a power meter put THERE??? Nope. Grand Seiko is ok, but double the $$$ it should be. LOTS of cool dials out there in Watchland. Patek - see Maen. Do you know why it's a member of the holy trinity? Once a person sees the price, their first thought is "Holy ****" Hamilton Murph - yes, but not because of the movie. It's a cool looking watch in my eyes. IWC - the same people who complain about the logo/writing on the dial of a cheap watch, say NOTHING about IWC??? Hmmm... Maybe I'm just a contrarian, but there are THOUSANDS of choices out there that are sooo loveable. Why buy what a bunch of stuffed shirts tell you is good? No thanx.

I have the blue Glass Box tri-compax. It is the nicest watch I’ve ever owned. :-)
That green dial Tag glass box is beautiful.
Harrison, this was a particularly well done and informative video. You’ve done your research and it shows. Thanks.
No the Rolex Explorer never went to Everest, a lie made up by Rolex, the watch that went to Everest was a Smiths watch.
Ha just wrote a comment reg this...
Perfect - I’ll watch this at half time in the Liverpool-city game ! 🎉
The Hamilton Murph will be my first Swiss watch. I’m getting it as a gift… yes I am someone that tells you the exact model number I want. The black dial 38 with the leather strap btw… 😅😅😅
That tag glass box is special!
Casio F-91W is my clock in my classic Landrover.
The strap broke on it, so now it has pride of place on the dash.
You're the only person I know who put Vacheron at the top of the trinity. No diss, just pleasantly surprised as most say Patek
I believe Chisholm stock vacheron but not the other two. Maybe that’s why.
Vacheron is indeed the top of the holy trinity
@@colincelso9428 Pardon, what's Chisolm and why is that of significance? curious

Why? These are awesome, of course!
Hahaha exactly!

As I was watching this, I was thinking what if I could buy one watch in different colors. It would be good to Tissot PRX. One for everyday 😂
What are folks thinking about the Tudor 925? I find that sterling silver an interesting option - would you buy, or stay away??
as a genuine Tudor hater... that is the only one I would consider. That is a special watch.
I like, only issue i see is that i prefer the monochrome!
I’ve got one. Beautiful watch. Highly recommended.

Would still love to see a 37.5mm PRX
Tissot won’t do it - but one can dream

The two-tone Explorer is one of the least sensical designs among iconic watches, in my opinion.
I'll admit it. Grand Seiko is my Grail.
Patek & Omega 😍🤩
Explorer two tone is a watch that baffles me
When "we" landed on the moon sounded funny to me lol
It was a giant step for mankind. I guess that includes Harrison. 😂

Agree 100%. They should keep the Tag brand for their smart watches. If they branded the Carrera or Aquaracer as Heuer I would buy one.
What is a unicorn-sized watch? ;-)
Who else knows they never went to the Moon? 🚀❌🌔
I am a watch enthusiast and I dont really love IWC or Tudor at all
11:27 Isn't the Tudor Blackbay Pro essentially just a cheaper alternative to an Explorer II?
Vacheron isn't even in the top three, nevermind above Patek
