@@lukemorse1 no problem man. Good to know what’s happening on the streets of Japan when you don’t know whether you’ll get to visit or not! Keep on being awesome!
I would like to see this game ported to ACA, but sadly Konami has not seen to port it to any console officially. We only have Sachen's bootleg Famicom port.
Valkyrie, like this game, is absolutely wonderful, and thankful it was put on Namco Museum 5 on the PS1 years ago. That is why I bought that particular compilation, Valkyrie no Densetsu.
Impressive zoom effects. This hack and slash in top view is really original and its music is not to be outdone. Bravo Konami and thank you Luke, as if you could still discover arcade gems in 2022 ! 😄
Yo Luke, I recently bought Super Swiv for Super Famicom but I am suspicious of the authenticity of the box. It feels somewhat smoother than other boxes. Do you own it?
hi luke. nice game! i like to play as fairy. do you like bells & whistles/detana!! twin bee, by konami? i enjoy that game too. anyway, have a nice day ⭐
Hey Luke I loved all your videos on the older sega hardware. I was wondering if you would ever make a video about ringedge and the newer systems. I’m looking at getting a ringedge but I find info is hard to come by
HMMM, I dont know what is going on Cahos. I havent heard or seen anything weird. Sorry to hear about the removals. Thanks for checking the vids as always!
@@lukemorse1 this comment you replied to was actually my third comment on the video and all I just said on my first two was that this game had an NES unlicensed port from Sachen and that you can confirm it on GameFAQs.
@@Cahos_Rahne_Veloza Did you mention where the bootleg comes from? If you mention a certain Asian country where things are bad right now, RUclips bots snip it.
0:27 has an inaccuracy. In 1994 or 1995, Thin Chen Enterprise attempted to create a Famicom port of Gaiapolis, but it only has 5 levels, incorrect character names, and was done without Konami's permission.
Luke, I guess you are right it could be on SNES but if you wanted it to be Awesome. Then this would have been done in a richer deeper color palette more shadows and transparences all on a Sega Genesis SVP cartridge with cool box and manual and maybe some stickers in the box. Come on, it would have been kickin'.
Wouldn't have worked well on Genesis, perhaps the Sega Saturn perhaps would be a more suitable console for it. Sega ate the cost on Virtua Racing with the SVP chip, likely why they never tried it again on another game. The Genesis was also not known for a great color palette (nothing rich or deep about it), nor true transparency, the dithering would look awful on modern TV's.
@@Bloodreign1 Hi, Nice to meet you. So, we are talking hypotheticals here. Both of us. As long as we are. Let's do it right. My thought wasn't on the standard Genesis. Though, I do believe it could work on it. Genesis had wonderful expansion capabilities. Let's rearrange a few things. See how it works. Alright, the Genesis had great colors for the first 16-bit home console. Compared to the competition at the time. So, yes. You are right. So, how do we fix it? Simple. It already exists. Let's take the color palette from the Sega Game Gear. It had a vastly better color palette than Genesis. That's one problem down. Problem 2. The SVP. The SVP was expensive because of the custom chips. You are right again. Sega Ate that cost. However, let's say Sega didn't release the SVP with the custom chip. Let's say Sega released the SVP with a common but very powerful chip from Texas Instruments. That could do for the most part the same job with the help of a little helper chip a FPU that Sega put in the model 2 Genesis. While we are at it. Let's give Genesis model 2 and upgraded CPU. From Motorola's 68000 to a very popular powerful CPU that won't cost as much but holds more capability and speed in an NEC CPU. Together, the CPU upgrade and the FPU along with a common but powerful Texas Instruments chip instead of the custom SVP chip. Sega could put this game on it and many many more and have enough power in the new Genesis 2 with more SVP games. That it would not need to bring out the 32x or Project Mars. I think that would suffice this theoretical discussion and problem with it. Oh, and let's all admit that pre-Xbox 360 most things on modern TVs won't look right. However, Genesis 2 would have a SVIDEO port.
Found out that there was a bootleg Famicom port, guess that's something. Let's hope for a MiSTer FPGA core for this game in the future.
Yeah, there was a bootleg port but we really need an official release for this one at some point in time for sure!
What were they thinking releasing a game like this in the arcade and not on home consoles? This would have been brilliant on the SNES.
Exactly! This would have been perfect on the SNES. Missed opportunity
Someone tried to put it on the NES about a year later.
That someone is Thin Chen Enterprise.
That is a pretty awesome game. Crazy they never released it on console. I really love the music for it too.
This game is an awesome game no doubt about it, The music is wonderful!
Bro I’ve been watching you since I was 17. That’s 14 years
Awesome man!! thanks for sticking around over the years to check out the madness lol. Really appreciate it!

No problem Sukhi, give it a go, Im sure you will like it for sure! thanks as always and hope you are well too
Thanks for showing this. Looks like fun!
If you like this action RPG you should give Lightbringer a try. The export version is called Dungeon Magic.
That credit counter though... wouldn't you want to play 100 credits, Luke? :D
HAHA, I know right. pretty crazy to see 3 digits.
I have one of these boards but it's never worked...need to find someone to fix it
Its an awesome game but repairing them is quite a time consuming task for sure. Hopefully you can get it running!!
Another classic I seen to have missed Luke, another great revelation man 🤠👍
Haha, Ill keep putting them up here man but glad I can show you some more cool games you havent played yet! Thanks as always!
Great video, Luke! This reminds me of Wizard Fire.
Thanks a lot, really appreciate it. Yeah, Wizard Fire is another awesome classic for sure!
Never heard of this game. Yes, too bad no home release or on any compilations. Only way to enjoy this is by MAME.
Its a fantastic game to try out for sure and MAME it up for sure

Sort of reminds me of Namco's The Legend of Valkyrie
Another wonderful title there! definitely.
Do you own the PCB for that game? I feel like that one should have been on SNES too.

Shout-out to Macaw45 for explaining how secrets in this game work.
I'd probably spam 360 moves constantly and never used block if not for his stream.
don't see a lot of tate beat em ups, very cool one
There are a few like this that I have, I just cant remember which ones I uploaded and which ones I havent.

More great stuff from Konami's golden age.
Absolutely! wish they still did stuff like this.

Going from 16 to 8 bits is a challange. There is an unlicensed Asian version. Doesn't do the game justice.
