Got the 800p in 2014 for my ps3, still like new with my ps4. It was an upgrade from my px51's that aren't compatible with ps4 but, has a range unlike any other wireless headsets i used. I just got the 700p today for my wife's ps4 pro. Really are great for the price. Even tho i don't have optical cord yet. For a real experience.

Apologies for the odd noises in the video from time to time, I used both the 800P and 700P mics in the entire video and they picked up practically EVERYTHING, even me moving my head in a stationary position. Also, before someone posts a link, I do know ONE website that did compare the two headsets but there isn't a video on youtube though. Have had my Elite 800s since 2014-2015 and I think I actually like them more than my Steelseries Arctis Wireless Pro, and thats an expensive headset. I actually still even have my TB Phantoms, which was a PX/XP 51/510 premium edition.
I wouldn’t have noticed a difference in mic if you hadn’t said. I thought u were using a better microphone, the mic quality on both is pretty good There is some static popping for both
Good review. You sound like you're reading too hard and trying to be kinda relatable/funny. You lost my attention because I was predicting what you were saying; sounded like you were reading too literally from a script. You shouldn't try too hard and you'll get the same results.

As my name implies, I've always done written reviews in the past for other websites as a freelance, so video reviews are something I'm still working on. Then when you're comfortable with how you said it, you'll know what you WANT to say rather than what you FEEL you NEED to say. And since it's written you can look back. I'm a professional Toastmaster. I use the same tactic.
Do the 800 have independent volume for chat and game? I brought the 600 after my 500 broke. Took them back once I noticed it didn't have independent volume control.
ArabOverDoZ I would hope so since they actually ask you to download the program before hooking it up. It should work fine but I'm not entirely sure at the same time since my PC's as of late are laptop hybrids (Asus Transformer) or tiny PC's (OG GPD Win), neither have optical. So no tests on my side for your question. If you plan to pick one up (800p), make sure the store you grab it from has a good return policy in case it doesn't work like you hope.

Hmm... I believe from my testing both were good at this with the 700p having slight issues due to the looser padding for those wearing glasses (sounds leaks in and out in particular areas of the pads). Overall it's about as good as it gets for both.
@Kenny bolo , I found them to be quite similar sound wise actually but the only issue I kept having was sound leakage and a bit weaker bass on the 700p due to Turtle Beach taking into account for those wearing glasses - seal of the cups just aren't the greatest.
@@kennybolo7564 just be careful with the 800x though, I'm told those have issues not experienced with the 800p set... If you grab the 800x, make sure a return policy is available in case you also run into issues.

I'd personally go with the Arctis Wireless Pro imo. That is my dream headset from what I've watched and read. Cost is a bit high is why I don't own it or have reviewed it yet (got the 800p due to a clearance deal - $160.) Arctis Pro uses an updated DTS X Headphone Profile (2.0) vs the 800p (1.0).So by that alone it should sound better, or at least be more refined. Maybe get with the manufacturer or store that provide the Arctis Pro to help ya out. The 800p's sound good of course but the Arctis Pro is on another level with features I personally drool over.
Hammad 007 The headsets are nearly the same, there are some trade-offs when going for the 700p which is more affordable of course. Not being passive (a normal Headphone) killed it for me completely as I use a Switch and PSVR (and mobile devices), now you have to turn the headset ON to have it work through a 3.5mm Jack. If the battery dies, you are going to be tethered to a charging outlet as again the headset can never be used passively (you won't be able to plug it into a Dualshock 4 or Xbox One controller either). I also found the wireless distance shorter, and the seal of the earpads on the headset incomplete (sound leakage, bass not as pronounced). It's comfort level is also lacking compared to the 800, internal foam is a bit stiff. There is some other niggles that irked me (which you can watch my list and pause near the end of the video) but if you can get over those, it is a simpler plug and play with the dongle setup and are quite affordable. I can recommend the 800p over the 700p all day but if your budget only allows one or a deal is too good to pass up, make sure you pick it up from a place that allows a good return policy in case you don't like it. Not saying you won't like it, only you can make that call, just trying to look out for ya. My video is only here to help in case you're wondering what the trade-offs are between the two headsets.
da1writer thank you for the response. Just another quick question, would you go for the new PlayStation gold headset or the hyper x cloud flight over the 800s. Keep in mind that the golds are about 80 pound cheaper and the flights are around 15 pound cheaper
Hammad 007 I recommend checking out my good friend thejtl's channel for a good review on the HyperX Cloud Flight. ruclips.net/video/PicqWcseMqA/видео.html My take between the two is that the Flight is a simple stereo headset, so not surround like the NEW Gold Wireless. I will say the stereo is pretty excellent, HyperX anything are known well for their audio. There is also no audio mixer on the Flight, which will be an issue when you want to prioritize chat over your game or vice versa - NEW Gold Wireless does have an audio mixer though. Mic on both are pretty night and day. NEW Gold Wireless gets the job done but the Flight's mic is crystal clear. Battery life is pretty extravagant, the Flight is about 30 hours, New Gold Wireless is between 7 - 10 hours. Personally I've come accustomed to liking surround on my headsets but that's personal preference and subjective. Outside of that I believe audio mixing is a necessity for ALL headsets. I believe in hearing your mates is important but also drowning them out a bit over stupid chit chat is equally important. Since the Flight doesn't provide this, I'm not sure if I'd personally recommend it. You may have noticed me saying the NEW Gold Wireless headset multiple times as that's the only model I recommend from Sony's Headset line. It fixes the majority of my qualms from the others released by them. Especially the robustness of that model...

Extinguisher 12 As long as it's a original PS4 (released in 2013) or PS4 Pro. This will not work with a PS4 Slim (released in 2016), as the headset requires an optical port for it's audio. I do understand your thinking though as I too think it may be part of their mid-tier at the same time. For Tiers Sake: 2014 Headsets - Stealth 400, 500, 800 2017 Headsets - Stealth 600, 700 I also thought this review/comparison may be helpful to those who may try to be deciding between the two headsets and are curious on what they are sacrificing in case they were to try to save on the cash front if going with the 700p. I am going to eventually compare the Arctis Pro Wireless to the TB 800p for a DTS Headphone X comparison (1.0 vs 2.0) that I'm interested in but I'm currently strapped for cash to do this. I'm sure that review/comparison may be to your liking once I do it, expect that sometime later this year hopefully.

No offense but the 800X are trash. Sound is a joke no matter what mode you have them on. Then the mic is completely terrible. Sounds like you are talking through a can. Why pay so much with a mic that is the same as a $15 headset at a gas station. Terrible review, seem a little sided towards somewhere.
@Prophet Prime I'm not sure if it's the 800x and Xbox not working together well, the newest firmware not being installed, or you having a faulty set. I had the 800p and they sounded pretty good. Not alone in this regard as Painfully Honest Tech and Gamesky also liking the headset (which you can check out on the RUclips's if you like).

? Are you sure you used the app or program, that's how you set it up. I found the noise cancellation to work pretty well personally.
