You might be right, but what they can also do is pair the announcement of the new console with a decently discounted price of the original switch for a last Christmas push. Also get out of here with this “Older people have no anxiety” garbage. Nearly everyone gets anxiety, it is a normal human feeling. The world may be a different place than it used to be, but that doesn’t mean that people literally never had any anxiety whatsoever, and it doesn’t even mean they don’t have any now. Am I the only one that’s still confused as to why they’re doing that? What’s the point of that as opposed to two USB-C chargers on the dock?
It was annoying to charge it on your lap @Dakr2000
@@Dakr2000 I imagine its cause if ur playing tabletop mode that you can have it charging from up top (otherwise its really annoying to have it charge and in tabletop mode)
@@Dakr2000one benefit is that you can charge from the top and have the kickstand open.
Which makes handheld on a table much better then before where you had to stop to charge
@@Dakr2000 Connecting a cord to the bottom when undocked is a little awkward. So if you want to play while charging the console from the wall or a battery bank, it can be more awkward to hold and it wouldn't be able to sit on a table with its kickstand while charging.
This leak is more in line with the Switch Lite leak where it showed the plastic shell. That time no one believed it to be true but it was!
Switch 2 reveal trailer next week on Thursday? Early October seems like the perfect time to unveil it. The two week space between it and Mario Party gives Mario Party enough time to be the center of attention as the release date approaches. It'll also be almost two months before the holiday season, allowing the general public to kinda forget about it so it doesn't conflict with sales
@@benji6325 it's highly unlikely it will be announced this year. Jan-march is likely when it will be announced. I believe Nintendo said they would reveal the system this FISCAL year for a reason.
@@Guy-cb1ohThis year is just as likely as next year. Theres a reason they've only announced 3 games in the past year. Remake/ports dont count.
@@arachnid_eater Ports and remakes don't count? The switch's number one and number four best selling games are ports of Wii U games.
The most Nintendo way to respond would be to quietly cancel the switch 2.
Nintendo really needs to do the official reveal at this point. I feel like another large leak may be happening soon and Nintendo needs to act quickly
Exactly, nintendogs are gonna get screwed 😂
Honestly by biggest hope is this thing being at least on par with the Steam Deck.
I think that’ll happen. With dlss on top of that
@@christianr.5868 DLSS would be the coolest (even if it’s just while docked)
DLSS would be super cool, even if only docked.
It's closer to a Series S I believe it was rumoured which is about 4TFLOPs
It's more powerful than a Steam Deck, at least on paper, but since it's not a 1:1 to comparison because there are many variables in play, we really won't know how it stacks up until it's released. The best sources for information will likely be Gamers Nexus and Digital Foundry.
Nintendo was able to make Totk on essentially an extremely beefy Xbox 360. Imagine what they’ll do with a ps4 pro gpu with a strong cpu and hardware upscaling. The graphics are gonna be crazy
I still don't believe it. Dying on this hill.
"Almost certainly real"
Every Bigfoot hunter ever
😂
It looks so nice. I genuinely love the old switch. I have larger hands but not overly large and I despite that, I actually really liked the feel of joycons. Besides the drifting, the whole thing just felt so clean and was fun to hold. The same thing but just even cleaner is going to be so incredible
What all this has made me start thinking about is that people will unironically start using the term Switch 3 within the next few years or so which is absolutely insane to me, and Switch 2 Pro even sooner than that
Switch 2 is a code name. it was NX for the original switch. There'll be some new one for the 11th gen switch. God that feels weird to say. I also believe that the 11th gen will be nintendos final console, since thats pretty much the limit for specs.
@@arachnid_eater I do think console releases may slow down, but never stop completely. Look at the iphone, they keep up the release schedule its just the improvements get smaller and smaller. Main consoles wont be able to improve as much as easily, but there's still a lot of room for improvement for something like the switch with hybrid capabilities. Because there's inherently less space to work with.
If only Past Arlo knew how crazy it really was gonna get.
"How are you gonna find that ONE person?"
Okay, this is Nintendo we're talking about, here. They will find that one person.
they have an internal plan already, so, i'm sure they're just gonna reveal it when everything is ready, they can't just magically whip it all up sooner because of the leaks (at least not *that* much sooner anyway). that being said the reveal is probably gonna be soon lol
If I’m Nintendo I’m holding back the console for another year out of spite
what would be the point of that? Sony and Microsoft have been shitting themselves all year, the timing could not be better
This actually could be their new marketing strategy
If it's mostly the same, but with a bigger screen I hope they really make it powerful and 4K , and backwards compatible with upscaling
I think (am worried) that they don't want to reveal it until early next year to avoid it affecting Switch sales during the holiday season. With the Switch they weren't worried about affecting the Wii U because it was already dead, but the Switch is still going pretty strong, and I have no doubt they want to squeeze what money they can out of it this Christmas. If that's the case we might not get a release until late next year.
You might be right, but what they can also do is pair the announcement of the new console with a decently discounted price of the original switch for a last Christmas push. Oktober could be perfect to be well ahead of black friday. This might be a smarter strategy because apparently the switch finally isn't really selling anymore.
Theoretically Nintendo could be spreading false/old prototypes themselves to obscure what they are actually working on, thus the professional impression. I don‘t see why they would put resources into that though.
Butternut Squash? Yes Please!
i'll still need the official trailer
also, we haven't seen the new dock yet
I genuinely still doubt it. Nintendo is being way too quiet about all of it.
Is this a bad time to talk about all those "Wind Waker/Twilight Princess" leaks?
Could you please elaborate? I’ve been wanting those two for forever and I need to know what these leaks are saying.
@@BloodRedFox2008Nintendo is usually the type to hold games that are already fully finished. They had many games from the switch they held. Mario RPG remake, paper Mario remaster, pikmen 4 to name a few they had finished years ago.
The one big this I’m confused about is why Nintendo isn’t taking down videos or trying to silence people who have leaked the console.
They might be making a judgement call that taking stuff down would essentially verify it. I wouldn't be surprised if they're still tracking people down privately though
Probably to not give the leaks any further merit.
I remember the NX leaks that were totally off. Gonna find something else to be fascinated by until they give us hall effect joycons.
Oh thank goodness, I was just feeling anxious and didn’t know what to do, but then I checked my subscriptions and Arlo had posted
Instant feel better
If you dont have a job to keep your mind busy. Youre definitely gonna be anxious.
Older people underwent that. And guess what? No anxiety.
@@DontKnowDontCare6.9 I’m 28 with a job 😂 I posted my comment 2 hours ago, which was 9 pm
@@MasonOfLifeget another job… or something
@@DontKnowDontCare6.9Short answer: You have no idea what you’re talking about. Please stop making things up, thank you.
Long answer: There are so many different reasons someone could be experiencing anxiety. It is incredibly stupid to immediately assume that the reason for all their anxiety is just because they’re unemployed when you have no reason to assume that, especially considering the fact that many people who DO have jobs have MORE anxiety because of it.
Even if they generally have less anxiety than people today, it’s much more reasonable to assume that it’s because they naturally have more experience, not because of some job nonsense.
Yeah I feel the same way, college's a bitch
I think official reveals are coming very soon now, not only because of content like this but the other weekend multiple publishers such as Limited Games were randomly at Nintendo's offices... at the same time...
It'd be more of a bummer having the thing revealed if it were radically new. As far as I see, this kind of takes the sting off of the next console being more or less the same thing but slightly bigger so now it's just exciting to eventually see the actual games in action.
Worth noting our current best information points to this being a prototype from last year October
Love that you’re not manipulating the clickers by outright saying that the leaks are confirmed but instead saying MOST LIKELY. Thanks for not clickbaiting 🤝
I clicked on this video to tell you the thumbnail made me laugh probably more than I should have. Perhaps I’m just baked. Carry on.
6:16 *cough* Switch Lite *cough.* We had that one photo of the shell that turned out to be real.
Rogersbase being at Nintendo during the Tokyo gameshow week for an undisclosed reason it what makes me believe the switch successor will be revealed this week!
i think there's still a lot to be excited about regarding the reveal - official name, launch games, new social features, new UI, etc.
on god im waiting for any sort of official promotion to say something like "SWITCH, 2 THIS" before whipping out the Switch 2
Fair to consider the Nintendo PR department approved harmless tidbits to "leak". Everyone knows it's going to LOOK similar. The real question is the guts. But leaks are fun, and there's a void of good news to fill with Sony and Microsoft tripping over themselves.
I hope we get a usb peripheral for the top and bottom so we can attach the joucons 90 degrees & play DS games on it with a vertical screen
I hope it feels distinct enough to warrant its existence.
you will not say "magnetic suction" on open air ever again.
Wow, i can see the memes now, just a picture of the new Joycon and bold lettered SUCC
This could also be a honeypot Nintendo set up to catch potential leakers if it's this consistent
Arlo- they’re going to stick to whatever plan they’ve got, that’s what they always do they never change their plan
Well… The NX football shaped Nintendo console seamed real at the time.
Despite the leaks, there’s still so much we don’t know about the next switch, i.e. launch titles, performance, graphics boost, home menu, etc.
I would pay so much money if they have the 3DS menu system and something like Quick Resume from Xbox consoles.
3DS let me organize games into folders AND i can could choose how dense the folder grid is, thats vital for how many games are on Switch
@@Atropos148 I also agree that the home menu could use a facelift. And add seasonal music back to the shop! Some of those tunes were fire!
We know the Switch 2 is coming. The only way I see this not being real is if this is a prototype version and the final version ends up looking different. I mean, it could be fake, but why?
Nintendo Ninjas have a new job.
I wish they could leak themes...
With September wrapping up, surely it's soon that they'll announce it?
Love the Yoshi's Woolly World track in the background
Honestly 9/10, no matter how much I learn about somthing that leaked. I still get hyped from the official announcment because it's normally the first time seeing it in motion
I feel like it would be so easy to enable RUclips's Podcast feed options for this channel. It automatically provides an audio RSS feed out of the videos so I can subscribe to it in my podcast player... and yet here we are, watching this is youtube...
I feel like there's no way this isn't real - I might be wrong but damn I'd be surprised.
I remember playing Kena Bridge of Spirits and the first thing I thought was, "Man, I can't wait till Nintendo gets better hardware so Zelda can look like this." Well we've arrived, and I'm so ready for it.
I LOVE that game. Was my first PS5 game. Definitely showed some of what the 5 could do graphically and performance wise back then.
My outlook on leaks like this is that they don't hurt the hype. Like when Nintendo comes out and reveals the Switch 2 and it turns out this was a real leak, I'll be hyped at the confirmation, because this looks great! It'd be cool for them to just get up in the spotlight and confirm a bunch of awesome stuff.
I really liked what the leaks present as the console. Bigger screen, bigger joycon, extra usb-c, as someone who only plays handheld it's a home run in physical design for me. The real juicy info is going to be the games, interface and functionality. Very excited. Got some pennies set aside for it's release.
I kinda hope they call it the switch pro to troll everyone... But they won't.
Plot twist: Switch U is 10 % more powerful, but has a second screen on the back...
I learned my lesson from the Smash Ultimate Grinch Leak. I'm not believing anything 100% until it's revealed.
The music made me so nostalgic for Yoshi's Wooly World.
Honestly IM HYPED NOW
as an experienced engineer in video game console design for 20 years now I can confirm the electronics scheme in that board would be too hard to fake with the current technology
I’m wondering if that larger “detach” button on the back of the Joy-Cons may serve as a ZL/ZR button when playing with a single Joy-cons sideways. It just seems really large to only function as a detach button
if it's magnetic, then you won't need a detach button, you could just pull it off yourself.
Butternut squash? Yes please!!
Nintendo needs to officially reveal the Switch 2 now!
The chord progression of the song in the first half of this sounds like it was inspired by "Freddie the Freeloader" by Miles Davis.
I'd love to know the power of this thing. If it was able to run on 60fps it would be revolutionary
The Nintendo Switch Lite back plate leaked during production before that console was announced in 2019. Nobody believed it at the time as it had no Logo print yet, perhaps for security purposes, and because Switch Pro rumours were rampant at the time. This has happened before.
My aunt's friend's plumber took a trip to Japan six month ago. Apparently he was sitting in a restaurant and someone close to him said something in Japanese that sounded like "Switch 2, 12gb ram."
October(reveal), January(commercial/full reveal), March (retail).
I remember we got a leaked image of the Switch Lite months before they revealed it
I wonder how this'll compare to the real deal.
All things point this to being real. But this could also have a chance at being the Grinch Leak all over again, but on a much bigger scale. When the Grinch Leak came out, everyone believed it was real, saying "how could you fake this?"
And this isn't the first time a Nintendo console leaked. We knew what the Switch was much before the thing was revealed. So it has happened before.
