- Curly Sycamore fine hardware case measuring 24x16x13. This is safe-deposit box, meets card-catalog type of vintage design. Each of the 12 internal boxes have a compression fit lid (no mechanical hinges) and sit behind two Morisco style glass doors.
36 hand- cut dovetails
12 internal drawer boxes (figured cherry and walnut)
2 full-sized drawers (half-blind dovetails)
Double Morisco glass doors
Aniline dyed with 5 coats lacquer finish

@@rjrotermund correct! English Sycamore. Probably one of the prettiest boards I have ever used. No issues using it, thankfully. And yeah, I completely intend to try and sell most of these boxes but I have problem letting go. Haha. Most end up in the shop, which means I need to buy more tools to fill them. Lol

WOW - that all I cab say. When that dye hit that curly sycamore - WOW !!! I am beginner woodworker but decided I have to build this cabinet. Absolutely gorgeous. I just built my first wall hanging cabinet. First time doing through wedged tenons on the case and half blind dovetails on a drawer. Kind of addicting. It’s so peaceful working with hand tools.
Absolutely could not agree more. Even with it being labor-intensive, nothing beats the joy of hand-cut joinery!

Thanks! Glass was held in place with a super thin line of glazing.
Very beautifu peace, the glass reminded me of my parent's house, they had same glass on doors 50 years ago.
By the way, what "ΠΡΟΣ ΤΑ ΕΜΠΡΌΣ" and "ΜΕ ΚΑΘΕ ΚΟΣΤΣ" mean ?
Thanks! This glass definitely has a vintage look. I absolutely had to have it for this piece. I will have to incorporate it into future builds. The tattoos say “At all cost, forward” in Greek (using uppercase letters)
