Thank you for this! I have a wedding cake I'm doing next month with fresh flowers, but the topper is such a great idea since I'll be putting the tiers together at the venue.
You mention do this on a cake straight out of the fridge. It is often humid where I live so taking the cakes out of the fridge makes them sweat terribly. Even if this was painted and stuck back in the fridge what would happen when you take it out again? Would the sweat make the paint drip?
Hi Amanda, we live in Barbados and it is quite humid here too. I find the cake does sweat when you take it out of the fridge, but placing it in front of a standing fan dries the condensation quite quickly. Hope this helps.
I absolutely love all your cake creations 😍 But also just wanted to know where you got the Acrylic cake scraper you use when you smooth out your buttercream?
@@spiceknack22 no problem! Don't leave it in the fridge too long but depending on the size of the cake i say almost an hour. But if it does still sweat after that just lightly pat the "sweaty" areas with a paper towel!
Hi Ruthy, thank you so much for the sub :) You can use Rosewater (This would be best) otherwise, I normally use Vodka in place of rosewater when I run out.
Another beautiful cake, but I'm very concerned about how you don't appear to clean the silk flowers before you use them. You did not take them from a sealed plastic bag, so that tells me that these flowers could have been on the floor, dusty, or better yet, handled by shoppers with filthy hands. Again, the cakes are beautiful, you have certainly mastered the look, but I am concerned with the lack of safe food handling that I see. This could certainly work against you one day. I wish you the best.
Absolutely stunning, I love the colours used in this tutorial so preetttyy 😍
Making this for my Parent's 25th Anniversary!!..
Just in time...thank you soo mch!!..

@@ascuteasacupcake1470 hi Amanda, thanks for the feedback. I live in St.Lucia and humidity is a pain. Do you work in ac with your buttercream cakes?

Having the cake in the fridge and bringing it out to paint will form condensation on the cake will this ruin the paint?

What type of brush do you use to paint on the gold luster?
