I’m a big Six Feet Under fan and the more I listen to it the more I find things I really love about it. There’s great variety here and I think Chris sounds awesome. I think most of the hate is just on the internet. I saw like 5 people at the last metal show I went to wearing 6FU shirts. Chris is a killer vocalist and I genuinely love all eras of his voice. I actually think he’s better in later 6FU than he was in cannibal. Found his identity and style there imo. Jack Owen put a lot of life into this band and i can see that he’s really inspired Chris.
I completely agree with you there my friend, Killing For Revenge grows on me more with every listen too! I also think that Chris is on fine vocal form, the best form for many releases in fact! But as you say, Chris has always sounded formidable in my opinion! Jack has also definitely had a significant and positive impact on Six Feet Under and Chris, the band is stronger than ever! 🤘
I absolutely loved this album. Was very sick of people crapping in it just because the last album wasn’t the best. It’s so cringe that people write off this whole band as garbage just because of some subjective opinions of Chris Barnes. The albums he made with cannibal are literally the greatest death metal ever made. But none of that seems to matter all because Chris Barnes said he doesn’t like new death metal. Lmao. I even like the last album…I actually really like the EE thing every decided to make fun of.
I'm pleased to hear some love for this album and for Six Feet Under from fellow Metalheads! 🤘 All the hate and trolling is rather old and incredibly boring I must say.... if we take the media approach and personality clashes out of the situation and just focus on the music, Six Feet Under's music really isn't as bad as the detractors make out! I love Six Feet Under and I am not ashamed to admit it! Oddly enough, the Nightmares album passed me by a bit, I think I was just caught up listening to other things, but it is still a solid album in my opinion 🤘
@lowbudget780 thank you my friend, I'm pleased you enjoyed the review 🤘 It is a very solid album and I believe it deserves justice. I am a genuine Six Feet Under fan and I am perplexed by the hate and criticism that they receive, it is totally unwarranted in my humble opinion 🤘
An interesting idea certainly, but Barnes is more likely to just deliver another savage SFU album in a few years instead.... haha! I hope so anyway, knowone wants another Graveyard Classics.....
The Killing For Revenge album reminded me a lot of Torment in terms of vocals since Barnes doesn't say "EEEE" here and there. But in any case, the album is just great! I'm glad Chris can growl normally again.
That is an interesting comparison, but I can agree with you there! Chris is on fine form here, I think he sounds stronger now than he has in quite a while.... 🤘
@@nononsensemetalreviews I'm just annoyed by RUclipsrs like The Metal Meltdown who call Six Feet Under almost the worst death metal band because the last couple of albums were not the best. Yes, perhaps their music is overrated and their music has never been new. But it was simple and effective.
@Sleh-uz6zb agreed! There is no need to slate Six Feet Under and Chris so much, people clearly enjoy the music otherwise it wouldn't have reached the popularity and notoriety that it has!
This album came out after an avalanche of hate cast upon the band. The latter release had received countless negative reviews.I must point out that the Killing For Revenge has being likely a shut-mouth for all those who had thought that Six Feet Under was died down in industry, afterwards the Nightmares Of The Decomposed. Here is a fiercely proof with the new record dropped out.
Very fair assessment there my friend 🤘 Nightmares... is still a good album in my opinion, not Six Feet Under's best, but definitely does not deserve the amount of negativity it receives! I love Undead, Unborn, Torment and Crypt..., those are all fantastic SFU albums! I absolutely agree that Killing For Revenge is here to set the record straight, it's a killer album start to finish!
@@nononsensemetalreviews Six Feet Under are a powerful name in the world's death metal,so they always deserve massive respect.Apart from Chris Barnes being a huge songwriter in industry,as a vocalist he's had his ups and down.Although they are still being an enormous brand, which keep selling largely well.
People always crap on Barnes yet everyone's favourite CC albums were with Barnes, and no vocalist sounded as good as he did on the Created to Kill demo at that time. Minus his EEEE, I actually like his contemporary vocals, because they are still unique and have this caveman/angry dog sound to them. Still better than Dying Fetus' burp burp burp oder the usual piggy/cricket noises The music itself was always simple, but nobody complains about it when Obituary plays the same 3 chords on every song, probably the biggest influence of SFU. People have no own opinions anymore. SFU had a nice run from 13 (yes, I think it's good) to Crypt of the Devil. As someone who hasn't listened to Six Feet Under (not a massive Cannibal Corpse fan so didn't check em out) but I think a lot of the hatred is that Chris Barnes is just a bit of a goof, like blocking everyone on twitter who mentions corpsegrinder. Might be wrong tho, also the cover albums didnt help
I'll be honest, I don't know much about the social media side presence, but it does seem to be a sensitive subject..... and I completely agree, those covers albums are absolutely unnecessary! Even as a fan, I won't listen to those, but the studio albums are enjoyable enough in my humble opinion 🤘
I’m giving you props for having the balls to throw SFU an honest review. And a subscribe too. Cheers.
@planetofthelivingsandman3862 thank you for the support 🤘 I'm a big SFU fan and not afraid to admit it!

@nononsensemetalreviews yeah I agreed man
I love all SFU albums. I hope in a big Europian tour.. ..some day.. Nice review!
Me too! Except maybe Bringer Of Blood, that one is a bit challenging.... a Euro/UK tour would be awesome and is well overdue! Thank you for watching 🤘
Good review. This album is extremely brutal and I like how you actually reviewed it instead of making some clickbait bs trashing Chris Barnes.

Pienso que es de lo mejor que a salido cuando eres seguidor de una banda y sabés escuchar lo que verdadera mente es música saludos desde Cuba
Thank you for watching 🤘Hails from England!
Killing Revenge is a good album. If they would cut two tracks on there and the cover, it would be a great album.
The Nazarath cover is definitely unnecessary, but it is a very good Six Feet Under and Death Metal album overall 🤘
Not heard of this band I might check this album out and some of their other albums.
You haven't this? good for you don't bother lol
Give it a chance my friend, you might enjoy it! I appreciate that SFU aren't for everyone, but I am a fan and I think this is a solid album 🤘
It would be a good idea if Barnes re-voiced his current vocal albums Torment, Unburied, Nightmares of the Decomposed.

I would say this was one of their best albums. Chris's vocals have improved and the riffs alone are amazing!
Agreed! Killing For Revenge is a very solid album, start to finish it is top notch old-school Death Metal! 🤘
