@Sleh-uz6zb agreed! There is no need to slate Six Feet Under and Chris so much, people clearly enjoy the music otherwise it wouldn't have reached the popularity and notoriety that it has!

I'm pleased to see such love for At The Heart Of Winter! What a glistening ice cold gem it is! That is a very fair assessment of Battles... and ...Winter, I definitely agree that Battles... is more like a savage assault than a well crafted and structured album, but I still love it haha! Although the cover is laughably bad..... Blizzard Beasts is another savage album definitely. I have heard and read a few critical reviews of Sons..., detracting from the album for it's more traditional Metal leanings, which I personally think is total nonsense, it is a great album! 🤘

I enjoy Sons Of Northern Darkness too, I agree that it is a good album which gets some unfair criticism! In fact, that gives me an idea for an Underrated Albums review..... Immortal are such an amazing band, not a bad album in sight! Thank you for sharing, I hope you enjoyed the review 🤘

Not only do most of the songs on that album have excellent hooks, I really like the production and sound of that album, the guitars sound fantastic - they are "in front" of the mix... more so than many of their other albums, which I really dig. Thanks, I could talk about metal for days...I know you can relate...

Immortal are a very unique band in the sense that their music can be appreciated and enjoyed not just by Black Metal fans, but Metalheads from the wider scene too 🤘 War Against All is a phenomenal album, it was one of my favourite albums of 2023 and one of my favourite Immortal albums too for sure!

I think I missed a lot of the buzz at the time and was a bit late to the party with Ripped To Shreds, but they are a killer band producing some top-notch Death Metal 🤘

​In the dvd they weren't signed to label and no one wanted them. Trying to convince them to go softer but they said fuck that if we are going out we are going out on our own terms heavy asf. so this album literally saved their career. To be honest, I do like Firepower a lot, but I love the power and stunning, epic nature of Nostradamus, it is a masterpiece! 🤘

Fair point! haha! I do like Supercharger quite a lot actually, but I definitely prefer TTAOE. I have tried to get into Burning Red... there are some solid tracks on there, but overall I do still struggle with that one. I want to like it more than I do, but I find that one a tough album to get into.....

Machine Head nearly lost their North American record deal with Roadrunner after Supercharger flopped. It's regarded by most MH fans as their worst album, prior to Catharsis. Through The Ashes had a way more positive reaction and helped Machine Head gain a new generation of fans. I'd say the album is a "comeback."

@butchvito oh wow, I had no idea that Supercharger was so ill received! I think it is a pretty good album, not the best but better than Catharsis definitely!

Empires is indeed a great album and I agree that Imperium is one of Machine Head's best tracks, also one of my favourites 🤘

Me neither for the large part, although I have a weakness for Disturbed and some of the more Nu Metal tinged albums from Soulfly, Machine Head and Slipknot. Not familiar with Kvaen, I'd best do some research! 🤘

Nostradamus is so criminally underrated! It is a spralling epic and is more of a standalone album that shouldn't be compared to other Judas Priest albums 🤘
