few quick corrections - the 2007 Texas UCF game was not in Austin, it was the Bounce House’s inaugural game the AAC was still an AQ conference in 2013, meaning 2013 UCF was technically not a BCS buster
I just graduated from UCF this past May. That game against #15 OSU was nuts! Pouring rain and still an absolute blowout. This video makes me so proud to be a Knight. Charge On!
UCF has always been a fascinating subject within college football. The almost-rivalry with UConn is yet another part of that mystery wrapped in a riddle sealed inside an enigma.
I'm watching this in a ULM parking lot while it pours down raining and storming before the game tonight, one I have to leave early. Thanks for this great way to spend time!
Thank you Empire for the content you are the best college football documentary channel by FAR keep it up all of us supporters greatly appreciate what you do
First of all great video. I saw this mentioned in reply to a r/CFB comment you made, so I checked your profile. Lo and behold I saw these two masterpieces. While I have heard from UCF fans about their journey, it's another thing to see it broken down like this. You can see how much the football team's journey is reminiscent of the university's journey at large. To say that Trevor Colbourn's gambit starting the program paid off is an understatement.. I'm a fellow Florida fan myself, hoping they don't win week 6 either (though I'm not counting on it lmao) and while I've been a part of the fanbase interaction that you mentioned (shit talk and all), can't help but be happy for the Knights making this journey as a fan of the sport. Count me in as a subscriber.
Always incredible content. Found your channel a few months back and I’ve watched almost every video. Keep up the good work and the growth will continue
Another absolute banger masterclass, EMPIRE. I'll be right there with you in week six too. Go Gators and let's pray to the football gods we somehow end up with a strong 8-4 record and make the playoffs if only to piss off the casuals.
@@DNSKansas Yeah And Cal And Stanford Are In The ATLANTIC Athletic Coference And Louisiana Tech Was In The WAC So, Anyone Can Be Anywhere. And If Not Geography UCONN Has Been A Power Team Before In The Big East.

“War on I-4”. No “the”. Other than that, as a Central Floridian, I loved this video. :D Also, Space Game funfact: The 50-yard line of the Bounce House is aligned perfectly with Launch Complex 39 at Cape Canaveral.
I still love how usf was so far ahead and thought they were too good to play us…only for UCF to pass them up in everything and leave them stranded in the AAC 🤣 such a great underdog story
Great vid. And nah, we're not losing week 6, not against this Gators team. Love UF tho, best brothers-like rivalry where we (UCF) are undoubtedly the younger brother. Hope UF get that momentum tho so we have a fun game.
Another few interesting things are that now UCF is rehiring Scott Frost, and that Heisman finalist Dillon Gabriel got his dominant start at UCF. But I still hold to the belief that Dillon Gabriel transferred out from UCF because he was not getting enough credit for his explosive quarterback record. In other words, he would likely not be a Heisman contender if he was still at UCF (look at RJ Harvey for an example of this).
Todd Cleveland was a friend of mine and my barber. He tragically passed of a heart attack just over a year ago. That scandal really ruined his relationship with UCF. Im also friends with another player on that ucf team, darryl Lattimore. Early 1A UCF was wild for sure! Im glad i was in marching knights when we we had frost and heupel. Was such a special experience at gameday!
@@empireonyt15 The fall of the Big East and the 2013 season. When the Big East expanded at the end of 2011, the conference hadn't fully fallen apart yet. Louisville and Rutgers were invited out of the Big East almost a year after UCF/Houston/SMU were invited in(but before they became official members). You probably could do a whole video on just the death and rebirth of the Big East. In 2013, the AAC was still an AQ BCS conference, not a mid-major. There were a few small things like 2007 UCF vs Texas being in Orlando and the first in UCF's new stadium.
I see, a lot of the big east section was very oversimplified just to not get too bogged down in the specifics, but it should’ve been more chronologically accurate. I did not know the AAC was still an AQ conference in 2013 though. The Texas game was a complete mistake though, i caught it while editing but didn’t realize I said it was being played in Austin
@ oh god friendly fire. Really bringing down the “new Harvard” of the south ideal. Also idk if uf football history is able to be crammed into a RUclips video, but I would love to see it. We had a dang live gator in the 50s. If your video schedule can’t fit it don’t worry about you do you. You know best
UCF 2017 natty logic is always funny. Its based on beating Auburn, who beat the champion Alabama, but always ignores that in the second game between Auburn and Georgia, Georgia won, and Alabama beat them.

You should a history of Georgia Southern and Georgia State next
UCF wasn’t a BCS Buster. The American retained the Big East Autobid in 2013.

Knights by a billion
The Big East (American) had an automatic tie-in for the 2013 season. Technically not a BCS buster in that year!
