Nice! Thanks Dan. Looks like the one I’ve been waiting for, but I only have a HomeBase 2, so it looks like I’ll need to buy a new HomeBase 3 which is annoying because my existing 2 Pro cameras only support the HomeBase 2.
You can still use without the home-base 3 , I bought 3 of these cameras and HB3 is not required just buy mico sd cards or use the cloud service . Istill use my homebase 2 for my other cameras
Hi. I'd like to install the camera quite far away from my house where connecting directly to the homebase is not possible. There is however both wifi signal and power at the location where it will be installed. Would it still be possible to connect the camera / floodlight to the homebase via the standard wifi signal? I'd like to take advantage of the additional storage that the homebase provides, and having the homebase siren go off, in my house, if human motion is detected.
Hello . Had this installed for a month . During the day it’s very very sensitive to every passing car even when I adjusted down sensitivity and set up activity zones . After dark it’s tracking and lights up when motion detected but doesn’t record anything . Can you please help ? I have a ticket to eufy and still waiting
Just got 2 of these delivered in uk and cant get junction boxes to attach them and make the electric connection area waterproof, the eu version of their previous floodlights used to come with a junction box for this reason but they haven't bother to include one with this. Thats some unusual english accent you have, in guessing you've been in the US a long time and its morphed into a unique sound ? Thanks for the video
bottom of the mount that comes with these and if your cable goes straight up into the eave it should be protected, if your super worried a bit of chalk or silicone could be used to seal it up.
I have a dumb question for anybody who currently owns this. I wanted to replace the light above my garage with this security camera to monitor the front of my home. Currently I have to activate the light inside my home via a switch for the light to go on. If I replace that light with this security camera, does the switch have to be on full time for the camera to be powered or is the wiring sufficient to run the camera full time without the need to switch it on? I believe there are 2 lights (1 on my porch and 1 on my garage) which turn on when the switch is activated (front yard lights). How does this work?
I have two questions; 1- during the 24/7 mode, will the light be on all night? Will it record cold or B&W at night? 2- does the camera support SMTP? I want use it in “Home Assistant “ using “SCRYPTED”
How are the floodlights turned on and off? Can they be wired to be controlled by a physical switch outside of the unit or can they only be controlled via the app?
Once wired in it is always powered on even the app doesn’t turn it off. You could wire a switch into the cable that goes to the power source if you wanted to turn it off manually.
@GuyOnRUclips thanks. I do have both. They are a very nice compliment to one another. The wired version acts as a flood light and offers 24/7 surveillance for those who are interested. I also plan on adding a few stand-alone 24/7 surveillance cameras (E330 professional) to boost the coverage and increase the deterrent factor. I think deterrence is the most significant advantage to video surveillance.
@@rukiddingme7 from your existing panel. I you would likely need an electrician to do this. I just used the wiring from my existing outdoor light on my porch
@@TheEthNickThey were not selling it. All that was happening was that when you try and view your live view or get notifications, it will use their servers to connect via Internet.
That’s not accurate. The issue was their website secure stream connection had a debug feature that allowed the authenticated user to share a link which showed an unencrypted feed of the video link. Less than 0.1% of users ever used the web portal feed and the only way someone could ever get the unencrypted feed is if the authenticated / logged in user shared the link generated by the portal with that person. They’ve since disabled that feature and working with independent testing to ensure full encryption and robust data security.
Great review! Thanks for the live test results!

Amazing first class review 👌👏
great video. @EnglishDanReviews Could you make a video on how to install and connect the cable?
Looks like a great device.
Do you also use a video doorbell alongside this?
What made you choose this device instead of a Eufy SoloCam S340?
Did you run the wiring directly into your breaker? If so can you show a video of that?
Thanks for this review, you did exactly what I needed to see!
Finding a spot is the tough part. I have floodlights as part of the house. However, they are hard to remove. Both has rusted nails.
Hi, great review, can you programme the lights to only work when it's dark (sun down to sunrise)? Thanks
yes, they can be scheduled to stay on from sundown to sunrise.

You would have to have the switch set to on otherwise you wouldn’t have a circuit

@@BDX55 ... But the entire camera unit, right? There's no way for a switch to only control the lights and not the camera?
@@TheInflictedNo there isn’t any way to control the lights except with the app.
So we're not going to discuss that SSID?
Which one? I did your WiFi last night or that’s what she SSID? 😁
Is this their newer model because the one that I seen before was dome style
Yeah this is the brand new release
This is a wired floodlight. So, no transformer is required.
They also offer this with a solar panel and a battery to allow it to run entirely off solar if you want to install this in an area without electricity

Are you able to turn off the red light on the lens?
Not that I’m aware of
@@EnglishDanReviewscan you try to disable it? I want a flood light but kinda want the camera to be inconspicuous
Doesn't this need an adapter or a transformer?
Nope it's wired so it will either replace your existing outdoor light or you would run a new line

Homebase 3 is not required. Just use the cloud or micro sd cards class 10
Don't buy eufy stuff lol anker got caught saving video footage on these and selling it
And while you're at it maybe you should follow up with what happened after that?
