One thing regarding the motion detectors. The PIR montion detectors are significantly less sensitive when walking directly towards them. Detection range is 2-3 times longer when crossing the field of view

So if I don’t click the notification, and one minute later (or five hours or whatever) go to the events, there is nothing there from that time. It will record some events every day, just not all which is a big issue.
Sorry to hear about recording issues..there is definitely an issue with the camera or the homebase if the detected events are not recorded. This one though has 24/7 recording..so it should record everything even the non detected events.

Eufy know that recording from the E340 is in 1080p only and I have been told that they have no plans for changing that. Kind of disappointing when you have a 16TB drive in the Homebase 3. Also recording to the MicroSD card is also not full resolution

It would be great to see a side by side pic with the 2k floodlight. I assume that this is quite bulky, just hard to picture quite how much bigger it is compared to the old floodlight
Would this be a good camera to put above my garage door? We are on an alley and our drive is only like 6' long. I currently use a Reolink camera to keep an eye on the area below the garage and the gate to my back yard. when this camera senses any motion, would the alarm goes on forever until you disarm it ? I assume the 30 seconds alarm only applies when you manually trigger it ? thanks in advance.
This Eufy model really looks to check all the boxes for me. One question I have is does the eufy app view allow you to see the live view of all cameras (like Wyze does) or do you have to select each camera? I have only one Eufy camera and multiple Wyze and that one feature allowing you to get an live overview of all cams is the one thing keeping my Wyze connected. 😁
@@LifeHackster Oh that's unfortunate if they don't have or plan to incorporate this into the app. Seems like an oversight to not update the app with this feature and only include multi-view into another proprietary device... Who's going to leave their house with that? 🤦🏼♂️

Hello, I always get information from your channel. it is well explained. I have a question about this product. 24/7 continuous recording required Homebase 3 or MicroSD 128 GB will work without Homebase3 ?
Thank you
looks like a good one to have.
Eufy know that recording from the E340 is in 1080p only and I have been told that they have no plans for changing that. Kind of disappointing when you have a 16TB drive in the Homebase 3. Also recording to the MicroSD card is also not full resolution
Was just looking to get one of these. I didn't know they were a year old already. Anything new on the near horizon worth waiting for?
If Eufy keeps this up, I might just just toss my Ring cams away. I love how fast it notify u once it detects something
@hmbv1591...Thanks for watching!
I did it.. I got rid of Ring cameras after watching this channel .. thank you LifeHackster ❤️
Great video.
Great review! I wonder what the resolution is of the video at 3x Zoom on the telephoto lens? Thanks.
Instead of hard wiring, can I power this instead via usb c using a wyze lamp socket adaptor?
Great video. Can you compare eufy floodlight cam 2 pro vs e340 flood light e340. I'm thinking of upgrading Flood cam, 2 pro. Will my home base 2 Work with e340?
It would be great to see a side by side pic with the 2k floodlight. I assume that this is quite bulky, just hard to picture quite how much bigger it is compared to the old floodlight
As far as performance goes, which one is better overall? This one or the S330? Thank you in advance!
I love the live multi camera view behind you. Does eufy support that kind of set up? If not, is there a wifi solution that does? Thanks!
Has eufy updated so that it records in 3k on the homebase?
I'm not sure yet. I'll be testing this out again soon. I have to uninstall it so that I can get it close to the HB3. Will see.
Hey Lifehackster, I’m a big fan. Do you know of the e340 will connect to a tri band wifi network ?
It should. It uses 2.4 GHz.
What chimes can I use this with, want to have a power plug type one like the ring chime pro item?
Hi I would like to know if you could compare Eufy floodlight cam E340 VS Reolink TrackMix PoE witch one better. Thank you
Of all the floodlight cameras that use a junction box, which one do you consider the absolute best?
At this time, this one. This is currently in my front garage area and has been working good.
@@LifeHackster thanks
So I connected my EUFY e340 and keeps going off-line. Can you recommend a repeater or extender to boost my WiFi. Thanks
Would this be a good camera to put above my garage door? We are on an alley and our drive is only like 6' long. I currently use a Reolink camera to keep an eye on the area below the garage and the gate to my back yard. Would like having the floodlights and the tracking but could it always return to a position to cover the gate?
What plug-in extension cord did you use and what gauge should it be?
when this camera senses any motion, would the alarm goes on forever until you disarm it ? I assume the 30 seconds alarm only applies when you manually trigger it ? thanks in advance.
This Eufy model really looks to check all the boxes for me.
One question I have is does the eufy app view allow you to see the live view of all cameras (like Wyze does) or do you have to select each camera?
I have only one Eufy camera and multiple Wyze and that one feature allowing you to get an live overview of all cams is the one thing keeping my Wyze connected. 😁
At this time...only 1 camera at a time. I know that they are planning to release a separate monitor/tablet that can stream their cameras.
@@LifeHackster Oh that's unfortunate if they don't have or plan to incorporate this into the app. Seems like an oversight to not update the app with this feature and only include multi-view into another proprietary device... Who's going to leave their house with that? 🤦🏼♂️
Thank you.
@ronm6585...Thanks for watching!
The older 2k floodlight cam’s light sensor was too sensitive and would not activate the flood lights at night when pulling a car into the driveway with the headlights on. Does the e340 have this same issue?
I haven’t noticed it with this floodlight cam.
Can this unit be used with Home base 2? If not which one can I use with Home base 2
Just had this installed. How do I reduce notifications so I don’t get notified of every car driving car . I would like to be notified only if car/someone enters the driveway. I reduced the detection range and motion sensitivity to the least and it still catches every drive by. Thanks
Use motion zones.
