One of d most popular attractions in Langkawi is its duty free island status, so some products like chocolate, tobacco, beer n liquor r much cheaper from d mainland. Glad to see that u guys have had a good time in Langkawi.
Awesome I went to Langkawi around Jan 2017 for 1 week and stayed in Pantai Cenang. Apart from the Rice Fields place, I did all the rest in the video as well as most of the list at the end of the video
Langkawi left us beautiful memories, but due to time constraints, we have not visited many of the attractions on the island. Your video is great, it gave me a more comprehensive understanding of Langkawi and I look forward to returning to Langkawi. thanks
What a wonderful video. I'm watching it for the 2nd time. Glad to see that you guys have had a good time and a pleasant stay. Tanjung Rhu is my favorite beach in Langkawi. Gunung Raya is also a beautiful place for a visit. Hope that I can be on a day cruise around Langkawi archipelago one day. Hope also that I can stay at one of the luxurious hotels like Ritz Carlton, St Regis or Four Seasons, or at least at Berjaya Resorts, The Andaman, The Datai Resort or Danna one day.😀
Best way to get around is by motorbike. You can rent a scooter in Cenang beach. There are many rental shops so just talk to them the day before! It's a quiet island. You can also use Grab to get around. The best hotels are in Cenang. We have links to where we stayed in the description below the video so you can check them out there
Definitely a nice place for a honeymoon... very relaxed. I think 5 days is fine... unless you want lots of time at the beach, you can stay maybe a week
I hope all the foreigners who are planning to come to Langkawi can be sensitive about the dress culture of the Malay community and do some research before arriving. We welcome tourists but please also respect our culture.
@@Hitamjoy that’s the most stupidest thing one can say, people are paying money to enjoy themselves. U expect people to wear winter clothes In the beach is it. As long as u stay true to ur culture it’s good, don’t expect everyone to follow.
We got there by ferry from Koh Lipe (Thailand). After, we flew to George Town in Penang as there was no ferry connection anymore there. But we heard that you can take a ferry to the mainland
You are SPOT ON on the top 10. Also try the pregnant maiden lake. Now there is one of the biggest aerospace exhibition in langkawi called LIMA. Countries from the entire world participate but some have to be turned down due to limited space. Ships, fighter planes, helicopters, sub, weapons are on display.
We preferred Cenang... it's a bit more central that's why we decided to stay there. It was easy to get to any other place ont the island from there. It's also a bit more touristic so more tourism facilities. But Kuah also offers great accommodation and restaurants... so up to you!
Gorgeous! I was wondering if there were any places to swim in Malaysia!?! I heard cannot in Penang. How do exactly do you get the Langkawi from the main land? Thank you!
There are many ways to get into Langkawi. By air, you can get there by plane from either KLIA2 or Penang. On road from mainland, you can get there by taking a ferry from either Kuala Kedah or Kuala Perlis.
There are many places to swim in Malaysia. Sometimes in Penang, there are season of jellyfish by the shore. There are many beautiful beaches by the shoreline of the east coast of peninsular Malaysia or the beaches on many of the tropical islands in Malaysia.
One of the most helpful videos I’ve seen so far. Question, is it easy to rent a bike there, do you need a drivers license or international license? Thanks for all the tips. 🤩
It was easy to rent a bike. Most rentals were located in Cenang. We just needed to show our driver’s licence (not an international one). They seem to be more relaxed on the island…
We visited in March and had wonderful weather… generally the best time is between November and April but with climate changing it’s been more unpredictable the last years. Winds begin to pick up in May, and there's more chance of thunderstorms, but it’s also possible that you’ll have lovely weather!
We stayed for 5 days and that was enough time to experience all the island has to offer! Could stay 3 days if you plan to visit more places in the country
The tourism industry has been rattled by Kedah’s PAS-led state government for suggesting that the sale of alcohol would be controlled on the resort island of Langkawi, following its move to shut down gaming outlets in the state. Its leaders have warned that any move to ban liquor will deter tourists from the island, which is a major contributor to Kedah’s economy.

Siamo stati a Langkawi nel 1991, eravamo pochissimi turisti, ho visto i tramonti piú belli della mia vita. Selvaggia e affascinante. Adesso sarà cambiata...
Nice environment, good scenery. Quite clean. But worst for beach hangout. Overall, overrated. Boring. Prices freaking expensive too despite of poor entertainment & services. Not recommended for beach tourism.👎👎
Damn sad to hear about your experience. We had a good time there and coming from Europe and US, it doesn’t feel overpriced at all 🤣 we’ve been to worse places hahah 😌
As malaysian, i would advise never go langkawi... Is terible now, if go to having dinner the price are super expensive, even local too.. now no one is going there.

December to March for the West Coast

Yes you can and we highly recommend doing so! Langkawi is pretty quiet overall so not too much traffic to worry about.

Yes but do check regulations as they seem to change often

I don't have a roller license.
