We just applied for our Digi Nomad Visa to Malaysia We (family of 4) would love to relocate to Penang Wish us luck Thanks for the amazing video Fabulous ❤❤❤❤
Planning for a 2 week family trip in Malaysia. Your videos are so informative. Could you please tell me if I can do the Habitat and Balik Pulau bike ride with kids? Thanks!
Amazing Penang City. Thanks to both of you for describing every sights with specific information. It helps me to arrange a good tour for my clients from Bangladesh. ❤ Travel is Healthy.
Hello .. we booked a 4-day trip in malaysia.. It's my first time to go abroad .. We are staying at KL .. do you suggest to go in Penang ? Or its not enough time to roam around? It's 3hrs drive from KL to penang .. I don't know if 1day is enough.. what are the main places or MUST VISIT IN PENANG if ever? ..thank you
Hi, Thanks for the video. :) If you could help me i have 2 doubts. Did you rent a moto on Penang ?(If so, was easy ?). Did you bought the tickets for the entries online ? Thank you.
We didn't rent a scooter in Penang because our Malay friend advised against that. That's because Penang is very busy and it can be dangerous to drive a scooter around there. We used GRAB to get around, which is just like Uber, and it's very cheap in Malaysia! We bought all tickets when we were there!
We stayed for 5-6 days but we travel slower because of our videos. I think 4 days is okay if you're planning to visit the different corners of the island (like the national park and Balik Pulau). If you're planning to stay in George Town mostly, then I'd say 2-3 days is enough!
We are planning to go to another city besides Kuala Lumpur but we can’t decide which one is better to have sea and also culture: Langkawi, Penang or Kota Kinabalu
Hmm they're both very different! Kota Kinabalu is quite far, like you'll have to take a 3 hour flight to get there. The city isn't very nice but the snorkeling is. Langkawi is really an island vibe.. lots of pretty beaches and relaxed atmosphere. Penang is busier and especially George Town is a city, but it also has some beaches and lots of culture.
We didn’t rent a car because we just used Grab (like Uber but in Asia) everywhere we went. It’s so cheap (maybe 10usd for a 30mins ride), so we didn’t even bother looking into rental cars. I’d say it’s hard to drive yourself as it can be chaotic, but definitely doable and many places have some parking available
I would say very doable on a Sunday when traffic very much lighter and road side parking is free. Other days traffic can be busy and full of menacing motorcycles..
dont do it. crazy rules are out the window. If you get in an accident it will be your fault no matter what happens. If you do chance it. Get some lessons in local driving. It's very fluid
Really depends on your liking :) Definitely spend a tit least a day in George Town. The funicular is also fun as it takes you to many places on the hill. The bike ride is awesome if you like some more action!
Depends on your taste! We preferred the island vibes of Langkawi more

The Top is an amazing building with an aquarium, Jurassic Park, robotic dinosaurs for kids to ride, free magic shows, a Japanese food alley, always cool things at The Top.....horse racing....Gurney Drive has seafood restaurantswith huge tanks of all types from all over the world, there is also a huge magnificent mall and food courts along the water......these are the best things in Penang...you don't mention Penang white coffee, the best...or the coffee and chocolate factory....and the Indian food is the best when you go to the cheapest places, not the more expensive places....
Hey Where would you recommend more Ko samui Phuket Penang Me and my girlfriend are traveling to Australia and we are caught between these 3 places . Wer in are later 20s and want a really nice resort to relax and add ina few trips and good night life . We are leaning towards ko samui. Especially cause everywhere is very accesible Loved all the vidoes ❤ Thanks
Nice plan you have!! Yes Koh Samui is probably your best bet. Koh Panghan or Koh Tao would even be better! But it's harder to get to. Would skip Phuket. Penang is cool but not as much for the beaches, more for the culture and food!
I am confused between Entopia by Penang Butterfly Farm Vs The Top penang. We are a family consisting of aged people and no children. I would highly appreciate if you can help me decide.
I went to the hill. It was my worst experience in Malaysia TBH. There was a big queue due to which it took almost 2 hours to reach the top. Due to this, I arrived late for Habitat where the last entry is 5:30 PM. If I knew that all this would take so much time, in that case I would have made my plan accordingly. I just spent approx 30 mins at the top, as to get down, there was again a big queue. The management of penang hill/furnicular train is pathetic and unprofessional. And, to be frank, there is nothing to do on the top of the hill. Washrooms are in pathetic condition too. For local visitors, it may be of some value but for international tourists, I don't find anything special. We lost around 180 RN as we could not enter Habitat and Klook is helpless on this. @@worldwildhearts
Well because Malaysian cuisine consist of a mix of Malay, Indian, and Chinese food. The culture / population of Malaysia is mixed with these three cultures. We found that the Indian and Chinese food in Malaysia is quite different than what you'll eat in India for example.
I’m so surprised that people like so much Penang. It’s my personal opinion, but I didn’t like it. I spent 3 weeks in Penang, and took the time to visit. There are so many huge buildings everywhere. And it looks like every video I watch about Penang manage to hide them. It’s also very dirty. But it’s my just my opinion. However I agree with the amazing people and food
Instead of advising people not to leave their plastic bottles on the beach, which sounds like an eco decor, why don’t you ask your viewers to bring non disposable bottles ?
@@rczeien not true, travelling for 6 month in south east asia and only bought 3 bottles of water. They are using filters quite everywhere, you can use bottles with filters or boil the water first
Poor penang. Though second to no one in cuisine but their officer are amongst the worst. Especially the airport officer. They are all never learn how to respect. As you know, me as indonesian often visit there for medication. I went home from penang after surgery when i was in airport. They did not even helpful but tease you after push you out from wheelchair. And keep shouting "wayang". Which is mean i faking my illness. From that moment i will never go there anymore. I choose singapore for services instead of penang. If you are really broke and need holiday so bad you can go there. If you have more money to spend believe me singapore is way more better. I had been sent my complain for so many times to malaysian airport authority but no response.

I am from Malaysia, the Malaysia Government and Malaysia Royal Police work closely with Myanmar Military / Junta that are killing everyone in Myanmar. Malaysian government is helping people kidnap innocent people and torturing them until they die. Please help raise awareness, google Malaysia abductions and youll see that these cases go cold because the Malaysian police are doing these crimes. This month a woman, her husband, and three CHILDREN have been missing for 4 weeks!! I dont know her but this has raised many questions in my city and everyone wants to leave Malaysia. Please do your research before coming here, foreigners are targets in Malaysia and its sad because soon nobody will come to our country!
Penang, my beautiful hometown. Thanks for sharing this with the world!
Although not mentioned in this video, be sure to see The Peranakan Mansion Museum - it's a real wow in George Town.
