What a great pattern. Thanks Jenny. I think I’ll make two quilts instead of one giant one. I also think this would look really great without a border, a bit more modern. I can’t wait to make them.
Ooooh, I think doing then gradient would be soooo cool. Of course I’d need to use my scrap bag stash….SO EVEN BETTER! Getting out the grid paper to see how many of each color I’m gonna need. Thank you so much for being so giving of your time or talents!
This is such a great pattern. I think it would look good in just about any fabric collection. It would make a great manly quilt with the right fabric. Thank you Jenny! ❤️
Absolutely love this, have already made one and was just referring back to this to make another one. I used donated (ugly) fabrics for a project Linus Quilt, can’t wait to show everyone how pretty it is. Thank you xx
At first glance I thought you were making birds in the air quilt. I make quilts for wedding gifts, trying when possible to use colors in the wedding, then using scraps, make a birds in the air throw quilt for gifting mother of the bride. Birds in the air signifying birds leaving the nest. Love your quilting tutorials. And pray blessings to you and family.
My favorite idea finder is tile floors! I love, love, love this pattern! Thank you, Jenny! Just the pattern I have been looking for to use a pretty layer cake that I have. Oh and the tool box is great and also great for keeping little fingers away from sharp things!
I have a pattern idea sketched out from new tile floor in our church sanctuary. During pandemic and zoom services it came to me because the camera was always focused on same spot each week. Still looking for that perfect fabric.
Is that all?? 🤣🤣 I recently made a quilt using jelly rolls (along with a friend). She said "now only if I HAD a jelly roll!!" We each have I don't know how many!!
Thank you, Jenny, for yet another beautiful, easy quilt. I, too, noticed a beautiful quilt pattern in a rug on the floor when I went to get my car serviced, took a picture of it and made a new design for my curtains, what fun. Our visual gifts can be so exciting. Have a safe travel trip and stay safe, may you and your husband find more people to teach and love.
I think it’s a great idea to leave the strips a little longer sew them on and then trim them to size. It helps compensate for any teeny bit of fabric that might move when you’re sewing them when you cut them ahead of time.
I’m so ready to start this quilt. Thank you for awesome instructions and how I love your tool box. I can see this in my sewing room sitting proudly and inspiring me to get to cutting
You always make it look so easy but I really like this one! Seems quick! When you go to the quilt to show the placement of the blocks and count how many across and down, you remind me a bit of Vanna White on Wheel of Fortune! Love your videos!
I love this quilt. So simple and quick. And you made me giggle when you opened your new toolbox. It reminded me of opening a new box of crayons as a child. So exciting!
Loved the subtle tool box love 😂 subtle like a meat cleaver lol. You go nuts Jenny we'll continue to love you no matter what. I like the low scrap value of this quilt and it looks gorgeous 😸 thanks again
What a fun pattern!! I think I will do it with my new Lori Holt layer cake this summer!! Thank you, Jenny! I also love the tool box collection! Thought the colors went really nicely together. But I can’t justify buying this when I just bought the last collection of “must have tools!” Love you, though! Happy quilting! 🧵👏🏻
Your videos are amazing from start to finish in a short time and I appreciate your insight and instructions. Thank you for sharing the new awesome Quilt .
Thank you so, so much for taking the time to leave this extremely kind message. We are THRILLED to hear that you're enjoying our videos. We love creating and sharing them with our favorite quilters!
Buy that rug and make this quilt in the same pattern with similar colors to the rug. Use it in your guest room and your guests will be VERY impressed! I need to make this one!
Such a fun and easy quilt to make. Just wondering if you could please include the amount of yardage needed for the binding when you do a tutorial? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for another great tutorial. I think it would look great in any fabric.
The amount of yardage needed for binding will vary based on size. There are several sites that have a simple binding calculator or a chart. 1/2 to 1 yard is typical. A king size quilt needs a yard. A throw size uses 1/2 yard. This quilt needs 5/8 or 9 - 2 1/2" strips.
@terisparkman, Quilter's Paradise is a free on line calculator. It gives you all of the yardage needed for making a quilt. I find it very helpful when making quilts. 😊
Robert Kaufman App for your phone is an excellent source for calculating binding as well as many other Quilty things. You might be able to find same calculator on their website, just not 100 % sure!!
Well shoot Jenny. I have 3 other quilts in line but now I need to stop and make this. Looks so fast and easy. I love it.
What a great pattern. Thanks Jenny.

I'm thinking Tula and Kaffe would make a great quilt! Since the hst are larger, you won't lose the big bold prints.

Not that I have EVER accomplished this, but I can see this quilt top being done in a weekend! Thx for this tutorial.
You are hilarious Jenny with the tool box hahahaha -- it is FABULOUS!!!
Absolutely love this, have already made one and was just referring back to this to make another one. I used donated (ugly) fabrics for a project Linus Quilt, can’t wait to show everyone how pretty it is. Thank you xx

We will miss you when you leave for your mission. But I love Natalie's patterns so much that am looking forward to more of her!
Enough left over for a table runner. Beautiful
Or pillows ❤❤❤
Both would be so, so cute! Love the ideas!

Same!

Thank you Jenny. I am not sure if you read the comments or not, but I wanted to wish you and your family a very Blessed Mother's Day
Wishing you and the special women in your life a very Happy Mother's Day as well!
Thank you!! You too!
Love it. I have about 51 layer cakes so only have to decide which one to use!!!!!
Thank you for this tutorial

Love this! I can’t wait to see what else I can come up with using “what if”! Tool box is cool!
I love this one so much! Now, I want to see the rug that was the inspiration!

I plan on making this but without the border. More modern and more attractive to my eye
Love this. It would be a good scrap project
I love this ! Can’t wait to try it for myself! And I love the new toolbox!
What an excellent idea. Love it coming from a carpet and using 1 layer cake for 2 blocks. Thank you Jenny and team
I would love this in the new Jelly & Jam!
This is my favorite place to spend a few minutes!
Quick and easy and beautiful! I love layer cake patterns!
Absolutely LOVE this quilt pattern. Sometimes we just need a simple, easy quilt! Thanks!
We could not agree more. Sometimes all it takes is a simple, easy quilt!
Less waste, more quilt yeah! I sew charity quilts and this would be a wonderful addition to my pattern box.
I kept waiting for the what if layouts or extra project. 😄
This is fantastic! Thanks for having such a vision from a rug!!!
I love it. And I love how you always sew with the "pedal to the metal"!
Absolutely beautiful and such an easy pattern, thank you. I’m thinking about which layer cake I want to use.😊
Oh I LOVE this pattern. Your tool box is darling...Thanks Jenny, for sharing.
Simple enough for me to do it🤭 And we always need our tool box. I'll need two tool boxes, one for my she shed sewing room & another in the house.🎉
Enough left over to make a matching pillow :)
I just love how easy this quilt is, thank you again Jenny and Missouri Star.
It’s awesome how we can find inspiration all around us, many aha moments happening for us creative people 😀
Oh myyyy.. you always make quilts so easy and beautiful ❤

Magic Carpet Ride could use MSQ star white on white to have stars in the sky❤
I love this pattern! I only have room to make throw quilts, so I was wondering what the size of the blocks were when finished? Thank you! ❤
Mine came out at about 8” square
NIce, simple pattern and I love the result. I think HST's are my favorite - so versatile!

So cute!
It's beautiful! I could never make this. I can't get my seams to line up and it would look horrible if I did this. 😫
Another home run. 🤯
