Wow, just wow. You totally nailed this edit, Dani. I'm so overwhelmed after watching this. The way you captured Colin's expressions and his discomfort at Penelope being courted by another more eligible gentleman than him, the one who sings her praises, admires her witty beauty, gifts her flowers, literally stakes a claim on her. In front of him.
Oh damn him. Damn his uniform. Damn his pretty face that makes all the young debutantes swoon in front of him.
Oh Colin, we understand. You're just concerned for a friend who doesn't actually count as a woman. Yeah, sure.

We all know how Colin is wishing for his stars to come down and bless him with patience to watch this utterly incorrigible absurdity happening right in front of his nose. The guy swoops in straight, some nerve he has to compliment her beauty in front of all the guests.
Her family. Her mother.
His family. His mother.
In front of him. Damn his sweet words that makes Penelope blush.
He sulks, swallows and his confused ass swells up a bit more. The guy has to compete for Penelope's hand in dance lol, his frustration must be on another level.
It's a really good line you added, "I'm sorry," which shows how Pen is so grateful for herself, that she's finally getting noticed by someone for once instead of being pushed to the wall only to watch others fall in love and marry while she withers away in spinsterhood. But at the same time, she knows the depth of her feelings for Colin, how she can grow to love the man who asks for her hand but she can never love him the same she loves Colin. That he's the one she desires even though he's such a fool and coward to come forward and announce his intentions.
And we get to see how Colin finally gives in by staking a claim on her, he literally holds damn hands with her in front of the whole ballroom, aka Ton, and literally pushes her in agony to dance with him.
Ah, I'm getting all the feels. This is the content I live for. This is the content that's making me preserve my sanity for a year more before we finally get to see what's actually going to happen with them.

@@lucymh2032 no lol, I'm just a big fan of Polin, it's always the pleasure to deduce subtle looks and touches shared between them. Most of may be concealed by the mere act of friendship but unless you know how regency society rules work, you can never guess that ongoing tension between them.
I think that's what Polin fans make so endearing because we've their scenes to form our theory from and it's always a surprise to see different theories being formed by every other user.
The pleasure to explore all that possiblities, and the probability of one of them being true in the next season almost pushes me to the height of insane happiness.
Cherry on the top, they're the only ones being developed so carefully for two seasons thus far, that tension, angst, unrequited love, love triangle and realistic characterisation of both the characters makes them such an easy and lovely watch.

@@meerabudebs7449 No, in the book Colin literally takes up half of the time realizing he loves Penelope and the other half of the book is trying to protect her secret that she’s Whistledown. Since in the series they already brought to light that she’s Whistledown I’m not sure what other angle they’ll take besides that there will be someone after Penelope that will jolt Collin into realization that he loves her. I always prefer the books to tv because I like to give authors their credit and because books are always more detailed but it really frustrated me that the author chooses to take 12 years of poor Penelope loving him and he being nonchalant.

Their story (in the book) is almost entirely about them keeping the secret that she’s Ms Whistledown. Since the series already uncovered that I don’t know what other angle they can take besides this one. I’m definitely excited to watch and can’t wait!

Since the 3rd season has been confirmed, I would definitely love something like that to happen even though in the book Colin doesn't have any opponents. Although it doesn't necessarily have to be a love triangle, something like the prince and Daphne would be great. It would be great to see Colin a little upset and jealous XD
She and Collin has a lot of steamy scenes in the book so I'm kinda excited for them🤣. And unlike most of the other books, they have their sex scene AFTER collin falls in love. So it does hit very different. While Anthony, benedict have their intimate scenes purely based on lust and they later fall in love.

The video is so beautiful. Maybe an unpopular opinion here, but I really hope they do not have jealous Colin in S3. I know many fans want to see that as justice for Pen for his obliviousness for so long, but I just feel like it would take away from the fact that he falls in love with her because of who she is, because she is not afraid to finally put him in place when he is whiny and complaining about his situation while he is a privileged rich boy in high society and can do as he pleases, but encourages him at the same time. I absolutely hate the Marina story line for him, hate it. It made him that much less likable in the show, and he is my favorite Bridgerton out of all of them. I have faith they will redeem him of course and the Polin haters will be quiet. The news of S3 of being about Pen and Colin just came our few hours ago and haters on Twitter are already at it. Everyone is entitled to their opinions but there is no reason to project hate for other characters. I do not particularly like Benedict`s or Eloise`s story in the books, but I would never project hate if Benedict`s season was next. Plus the show is based on the books, not a total adaptation of the books, the creators are at liberty to take the stories where they want.
Totally agree, I try not to write too much on the comments as I don’t want to get sucked in. Like in real life, if I don’t like something, I’ll express it to a close friend and then let it go. It makes sense to cater to Pens story as Benedict’s story takes place outside the ton. Looking forward to both and seeing how they cater to that. I’m looking forward to Pen being a bad ass and Colin finally seeing it.

La historia de ellos me encanto en los libros, porque se cocino lento y verlo plasmado en el 4to libro fue un deleite. Espero y no lo apresuren en la temporada 3 ya que se centrará en ellos. Espero y Colin sufra por pen porque se lo merece. Muero si pen le dice “tú no cuentas, somos mejor amigos” para que colín sienta lo que ellas sintió. Y necesito que le den un pretendiente a pen, sería épico.

Two thing i want to see after reading the book and seeing the change thay already made to their story. Colin got to have some competition and it's funny but i really want to see Colin temper more. He got a lot of passion. It's know if you read the book that he's got hell of an attitude when angry and i want to see it more than we did already. Funny how Colin gave me the vibe of a more modern James Fraser.

Season 3 delayed again...we'll be lucky to see it by Christmas. At the rate they're filming I'll be dead before the last Bridgerton is married.
@Mary Bistodeau They finished filming this week. With how S2 took 4 months after production with editing, we will most likely get S3 during July.
@kevinsafar452 I wish. I read the producer wanted to make some changes which is why it will be delayed. Ugh.
@Mary Bistodeau yeah but that was before now it's 100% finished. It was confirmed by producers and actors. All we can do is be hopeful we won't get another delay.

2023, february, 21 - I came back here, because I missed this video and because I'm praying that something very similar to this happens in the third season!
I think Colin definitely needs to get jealous of Penelope…and not because of a misunderstanding but Pen’s new love interest should be tall, handsome, and super smart. Also, I think that only a very smart person, confident and successful person would make Pen focus her interest in a man other than Colin. Maybe this new love interest could be a young published writer, possibly someone that can sing or play music as well while also being witty and daring. And I think this new love interest could teach Penelope to be daring as well. And Colin may warn Pen to not associate with this man and Pen will think F*U Colin… you are too late buddy! I really wish they make more episodes for Colin and Penelope love story because it entitles 2 important characters from the books not just one.
