Those Texas lawmakers make me embarrassed to be from Texas.

Texas is obviously not content with Alabama getting all the limelight and monopolizing the history books footnotes on this issue.

Marriage equality causes unplanned pregnancies? All I can think of to say to that is WTF!

I don't get the logic here. Maybe he thinks that only gay couples should be married because straight couples have unplanned pregnancies. IDK.

I think it was also the Heritage Foundation who said legal same sex marriage will lead to more abortions. I really don't see the logic in that argument.

The Republicans in MN are wasting their time and it's quite shameful they are trying to rile up the public in such a peaceful and loving State.

We live in Dallas. Our debate is whether we should stay here and ride out all the legal hatred or bail to another city - why waste years of your life with listening to empty "victories" from the psycho religious loonies down here? But we're doing really well financially.....ugh....

Those bills in Texas died on the order paper when they failed to meet the deadline for the vote thanks to the efforts of the Democrats. Yes, they are dead and I hope for good. I live in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada and Minnesota is just 65 miles south of me. Since it tends to be a Democratic state, the Republicans can rattle their swords but it will not do much in getting anti-gay bills passed. The voters spoke and the legislature listened so trying to do away with gay rights is a dead issue and it's time to bury it and deal with more important matters.

In other words, Cecil Bell is all hat and no cattle, as they'd say in Texas.

    smh
Quite the drama eh? ...almost like watching reality TV
But if I were a gay Texan planning to start a family, I suspect I would not be taking this so calmly.
