Haywood Jablome it still wouldn't be over. It will be better, much better, but never over. There will always be those we need to defend ourselves from. And speaking as a Canadian looking south (we got marriage equality 10 years ago), it's not just about us but those in other countries as well whom we can support in their struggles. There's also the often neglected T in our group and they will need our help in their struggles as well.
KnightRaymund I glad you acknowledge parts of the world, I live in Trinidad and Tobago which is one of the Caribbean Islands that still have a ban on homosexuality, so completely no legal protection. The goverment response is we don't take the law seriously, yet it remains a stain from colonial times under the British. For a multi ethnic, multi cultural society and multi religious society like mine you would think that would be something done away, seeing that we allow Muslims to marry multiple wives on religious bases and being oil rich be more progressive in our laws. Another excuse is lgbt community is not attacked by persons unlike Jamaica or Uganda, yet no equal protection under law given to race, religous, gender and age. Because christian mind explode here with the mere thought of inclusive into the equal opportunity act.

I started watching during my days with the Oregon United for Marriage Campaign. It was so fun seeing all the news of states coming on board after Oregon won. You, sir, have been a great source of sysyncet and informative news and although the future of this show is now limited, I can't wait to see what else you might report on in the future. Thank you.
First I want to say thanks for making your videos each week.........I live in Alabama, and from the sounds of Roy Moore he is not going to give up yet. The only way he will stop fighting is to be removed from office again. .. So I think that he will give you plenty of material to keep your videos going for quite awhile. ...Thanks again!!
Skinnymarks I agree. It will definitely take work to figure out for both marriages and divorces, but especially divorces. It is no simple task by any stretch, but I hope that one day it might be a reality for me and my family.
HeavyMetalJess I think we need to figure out divorces for eveyone. The usa has the most agressive and destructive devorce procedures in the developed world. I wonder if the legalization of poly mariages will coincide with the idea of amiable divorce being promoted.
Skinnymarks I really hope so. The way divorce as a legal proceeding is set up seems to breed animosity between those choosing to go their separate ways and is damaging to the individuals as well as any children that might be involved. Since the laws have never been revised to encompass changes to gender roles in our society, it is often unfair to men in particular in both division of assets and division of child custody. I think there still need to be some mental shifts before our culture stops looking at divorce as a "punishment."
i’m gay but pretending that who can access the religious institution of marriage is dictated by constitutional law is completely laughable. this should be overturned like r v. w.

Craig Seamus It is funny in the sense of being odd or peculiar. Where they are working to a goal if ever achieved, which will leave AFER in place that it no longer has anything to fight for. Hence a place a place where AFER no longer needs to exist.
Typically transgender people could marry prior to Obergefell, especially in the many states that allowed changes to driver's licenses. But as long as county clerks perceived the couple as opposite sex, they often had no problem getting a marriage license.
Only when gay people have the same protection the civil rights act offers for employment and access to services will this fight be over.
Haywood Jablome We're gonna be defending our hard earned rights for a long long time. Sad, but true.
Haywood Jablome The Onion had an awesome headline Friday "Only 47,000 more milestones to reach before achieving full civil equality"

So what's going on with Missouri?? I live here and they had already started issuing licenses Friday, so are they trying to reverse the ruling??
not sure, this is the first I heard about it?
***** Baume added a correction. It's Mississippi, not Missouri, that's looking into getting out of issuing marriage licenses altogether.

Poly families want marriage equality, too. We hope our LGBTQ brothers and sisters will help make this happen in the years to come.
That may be legally more obnoxious. Simply because legal rights may not have the scope of more than 2 people.
