All of the people who swore an oath to upheld their duties and responsibilities to their state offices and then disobey their oath of office--need to either resign or go straight to jail!!!
Our legislature here in NC is much like legislatures in red states across the country, hardcore anti-government loons, gibbering dominionist fundies, the occasional real estate agent laboring under the delusion that they know more science than those smartasses at DENR, and freaks and geeks sufficient to fill several oldtime carny midway shows. In other issues, they just passed an "Ag-Gag" Law that makes it a felony to expose unsafe food practices, animal waste dumping into streams, animal cruelty, abuse of migrant labor, and similar misdeeds by corporate farming. AND they overrode the Governor's veto on that one, too.
***** And they have gerrymandered districts in such a way that it will probably remain red no matter how awful they are and how disillusioned the public becomes.

WildwoodClaire1 I love how some states in the US are falling behind China now. The GDP per capita of some provinces in China are now overtaking that of some southern states. The Chinese government which likes to control everything is actually allowing the exposure of unsafe food practices. It makes you lose faith in democracy sometimes... Of course i am not suggesting that in general China has freedoms that could compare. It is just interesting how some parts of the US seem to actively wanted to retrograde themselves behind that of a developing / mid way developed nation.
If SCOTUS overturns gay marriage bans or requires at least recognition, i say Matt Baume has to shave his facial hair off for that video update in celebration. Thumbs up to support this notion! :D
