Loving this JB Rack. After using it for a week now I’m loving a couple things: 1.) takes up way less space in my garage than my previous rack due to vertical freestanding design. 2.) rolls around the garage with ease and easy to load / unload bikes. 3.) No damage to bikes (unlike wall hooks). Anyway, figured I’d leave a comment. Let me know if you ever want a long term review of this thing 🤔
Options are good, and I'm glad to see more quality bike racks on the market. If all you want to do is store bikes in the garage, this seems like an extremely expensive option. Velocirax is definitely a sturdier rack than this, and I'd feel more comfortable using ebikes with it. If you're just using regular bikes, this seems like a good way to save some cash.
Not sure how I feel about combining rack and stand. I don't think I want to unload all 5 bikes and install rack, load 1 or 2 bikes I need and do all that again after the ride. It feels like a lot of work...but it looks like a great option as a rack. Journey for looking for the best stand continues.
@@YongPark-g3h This one works for me but I mainly use my tailgate pad for transporting bikes except on longer road trips. But I get what you’re saying 👍
Let’s face it as a Velocirax owner if you would have spent the $300 difference in the first place you would have saved money and aggravation, and have a better product without the trouble of having cheap racks you now need to get rid of
@@ryanhennig340 Velocirax is definitely premium, but the 1Up Recon rack looks even more premium that Velocirax but then your spending $300 more than Velocirax. At some point in time you have to think about price.
You get what you pay for. The only draw back to Velocirax is the weight, but that's what you get if you want a rack that will handle any bike in any terrain and won't rust after a couple of seasons.
@@justinfournier1285 It’s over $300 less. Just like Velocirax is basically a 1Up recon knockoff but Velocirax is $300 less than a 1Up. So here the breakdown: 1Up Recon 5-Bike Rack = $1,200 on the 1 Up site. Velocirax 5-Bike Rack = $855 JB Racks 5-Bike Rack = $580 Of these I think Velocirax is the premium rack, but for those who can’t afford that,,, JB Racks is a great option.
@ I have a local made version of a vertical rack and the main issue I wanted to avoid is the rocking while you drive on forest service roads. I went with a version that has an anti-rocking piece that is Ike the receiver side of the hitch that goes into the receiver you tighten down that pulls back against the hitch bar but it makes the rack harder to insert as it wiggles around when you are trying to insert the hitch into the receiver. It also weighs a ton. I imagine it would be lighter if made from aluminum and wouldn’t rust, but probably even more expensive. No ideal solution yet.
@@brandonweeekly 1Up Recon rack is undoubtedly premium BUT $1,200 versus JB Rack for $580. So you’re getting the same style rack for a fraction of the price.
@@Phantom1000 I used to feel that exact way, but I’ve really been trying to find the best priced stuff and this rack gives me all the features I need for hundreds less.

Guess my comment from your last video about the racks stands true. Glad you found something that works for you.
@@jf8534 thank you! I wanted those cheap racks to work, but they just didn’t 😬

While you where in Harbor Freight could have gotten a little bigger casters to make that thing roll around a little easier.

Velocirax offers bigger baskets for fat bikes. Not sure if this company also does.
