What are your thoughts on the N9 which comes with 150mm of travel up front. Great review...Thank you.
@@KeywordManagement the new collosus N9 had a 170mm Fox 38 fork which is amazing. Love my N9. Check it out here if you’re interested. bikesonline-usa.sjv.io/4PAXk1
I’ve watched almost all your videos. Excellent information. I can’t keep track of all the comments that I’m sure would answer my questions, but can’t always locate the answers. I’m about to get either a T9,N9, or a Canyon Spectral al 6. I have more issues climbing the rocky stuff with pedal strikes. It appears the bottom bracket height is highest on the N9, wouldn’t you think that would be a better choice with the issues that I have with pedal strikes? Just asking your opinion. I do not do much true down hill rides to warrant the N9 but the higher bottom bracket height from the ground intrigues me. Thanks
I currently own a 2024 Canyon Neuron 6
@@radboy58f2 N9 is an amazing MTB. It pedals so dang good. I put 165mm cranks on my N9 and never have pedal strikes. But T9 sounds like it might be a better choice for the style of riding you do. Maybe T9 and then get 165mm cranks for it 🤔 hope that helps.
if your on a budget get a qlife
Hi, you should try upgrading the front suspension to a double crown one with a longer travel. I am thinking of upgrading my RockShox Zeb to a double crown suspension, but I'm not sure. Thanks you
i wanna upgrade my collosus n7 enduro bike to a downhill bike
@@francoagustinruiz1299 Down-duro bike 🤘 I’m going to increase the fork to 180 but that’s about it.
I have an enduro bike but the frame is the same as the trail bike so I’m gonna swap out the shock and forks and flip flop them depending on what I’m riding

@@gavinneill9134 that was just the way the light was hitting that big weld. Thanks for looking out though 👍
Awesome you have got me interested in trying the coil on my n9 👍
@@gavinneill9134 do it 👍 The Lost Co has a great deal right now on the DHX2. It’s tempting to try a cheaper coil shock, but I think the extra cost is worth it for the Fox coil. Make sure to chat with the Lost Co guys about springs if you e never had a coil shock before. They helped me a lot.
The music kills my brain cells.
@@hepphepps8356 definitely 👍 I stopped playing music while talking in my newer videos. This video has the most views but my newer videos are so much better in my humble opinion

@@blackhorsegrind4255 they are doing motor and battery upgrades. I sent the bike back to them to upgrade but won’t be getting it back.
I have both, and the wheel top shifts much smoother than my GX with a Xx1 cassette and chain. The wheel top has a cheap zitto chain and cassettes.
@@trackar134 thanks for letting me know. I couldn’t believe how much better the Wheeltop shifted.
Upgrade the entire bike, then start thinking of a new frame. Never fails.
Yeah bud
@@trailpimp6369 such a fun trail! Love the tech downhill
@ ❤️❤️
Round one looks normal for me
I'm getting into bike fitting recently, and it appears that 160/165 mm cranks have some benefits regarding ergonomics and overall muscle fatigue. But, if you go too low you may face other deficits. These decifits will either be the overall bike fit or maybe even stability when going downhill due to the closed-up foot stance. That's my theory at least, which I'm working to test out. For those that thing that shorter cranks will reduce performance, that is not the case. No until you go bellow 80mm or greater than 320mm at least. 160/165 mm cranks also appear to provide a slight performance increase in road cyclists due to the lesser amount of acceleration the foot has to go through.
@@SpMeKP I think the performance depends on the type of bike you’re riding. I only ride Trail or Enduro style mountain bikes so 165 feels amazing on the downhill.

Oil and coil with a progressive spring is better then a slice of fried gold. It’s definitely an upgrade on this linkage design.

Great vid. Not too technical. To the point. Thanks. I’m going to move to a coil thanks to watching this for my SC Bullit e-bike (I should have bought the coil version). You nailed all the reasons a coil is going to be better for me. But, I have taken the time to try two other bikes with coil on my fave trail/park to get to grips with what you set out here. I would advise anybody who can do that to take the opportunity. In the U.K., some LBS’ will lend a coil or shock if they have one that fits, but it’s harder with a coil as the spring is different depending on your weight and the LBS might only have one size spring.
@@Coolcmsc that’s awesome that the LBS is letting you demo a coil shock. Super smart on their part to keep customers happy and buying through them. I’d support that shop 👍
PRO TIP: put a towel under the bike so when those little washers fall, they don't disappear. Especially when over a hard surface like in the shop.

👍I feel and guess that the hydraulik rebound/return on the coli damper, makes the biggest diffrent on the stability between a air and coli version of dampers😋. I am Waiting for the first air damper with a REAL HYDRAULIK rebound/return😉
👍Always nice to compare a coil and a air damper👏 I compared the Öhlin fork RXF36 M.2 AIR and COIL version, and where I found out after this test that if I would by a Öhlin fork, I would NOT by one Öhlin fork in a air version, because the air chamber is to small to get this fork to work nice. But the Coil version of the same fork is very nice🥰. Fox Factory 36mm and Rockshox Lyrik Ultimata 35 forks is the best option of air forks, witch I have both of. This Polygon Emtb is seems to be a very interesting Emtb, with the longer swingarm, like the Rotwild R.EXC Ultra or Pro. I guess thees bikes would be even more nice with a good coil damper. The new Rockshox Vivid with the hydraulik bottom out, could be a nice two air/coli version option to try😊 The Damper version I have and tryed are both Öhlins TTX22M and Öhlins STX22 witch is very nice damper both of this, but is not easy to get hold of spare parts to the coil damper. I also have some Fox Factory DHX2 coil damper and some Fox Factory DPX2 with this small piggyback, that's works realy nice. My life has gone from all sorts of summer and winter sports, with or without engines. Snowmobile racing, Motocross, Enduro, road bikes to Mountain bikes and now Emtb Construction frome framset, with now seven diffrent Emtb and Mtb's, at the age of 59 years where I had to leave my whiny cohabitants, when I now ❤love my bikes❤ more then her😂
@@kentnilsson9757 heck yeah man! Tons of good advice there. Always wanted to try that Vivid Shock but never wanted to run a Rockshox Shock with Fox fork 😂 MTB unwritten rules lol
Great video! I am trying to make up my mind myself on air vs coil on my fuel exe! This helps. Thanks!
@@kbellanti I’d say, Coil if you want to make it enduro/DH capable; Air if you want to make it lighter and more Trail/long ride capable.
I have a e bike also. I use the coil for pedaling up tech and rocky trails and in wet conditions for more grip. I use the air for mello trail rides or at a jump park or where I am going to pop of stuff. But if I forget th swap air for coil I just turn down the high and low speed compressions. And pro tip to change shocks lay bike sideways on the ground and it doesn’t drop as much and easier to move rear end around an easier to bolt back up
@@worldstallestmidget thank for the laying the bike sideways tip. I was worried about dropping the shock hardware that way.
Maybe try a less wide angle for the chest footage. Honestly, the best angle is chin or helmet mount

I own an ARI Explorer Peak efat bike which I'm very much enjoying. One of the revelations was the TRP Trail EVO brakes, reviews I read about them were pretty lukewarm, and I thought on that I'd be swapping them out straight away. I just replaced my MT200 entry level brakes with M6100 2 piston brakes, which is a mid-level, and I use RT 56/54 rotors for rear/front respectively.
