Playful Parenting for a Brighter Childhood - Achievements

World Vision International Nepal teamed up with World Vision US and the LEGO Foundation for a heartwarming project: "Playful Parenting for a Brighter Childhood", an 18-month program that empowered over 4,727 caregivers in five districts with playful learning activities that nurtured the development of vulnerable children aged 0-6. Anchored in the nurturing care framework, it covered health, nutrition, early stimulation, and emotional well-being. Local partners and trained facilitators worked hand-in-hand with caregivers, offering home visits, group sessions, and even materials development training, all tailored through high, medium, or low dosage packages. The result? Not only did caregivers gain confidence in playful parenting, but communities fostered a culture of play and responsive caregiving, giving these children the brightest of starts. The project was implemented in Udaypur, Sindhuli, Mahottari, Sarlahi and Rautahat through our implementing partners HURENDEC, RDC, RRPK, SDC and SIDS.
