@@davidjones-ft1fr Ozzy still uses Randy as a cash cow to this day. Just like he does with Bob Daisley, Lee Kerslake, Jake E Lee, and most other musicians he's worked with. Sharon Osbourne organized the OZZ fest and sold it as an altrustic gig that all musicians did for free while sharon and Ozzy pocketed all the cash! His solos tell a story some sad enough to make you cry and others that are uplifting. They run the gamut of emotions. I am blessed to be able to listen to him damn near anytime I like. What a gift.

The truth is Randy came in..he was the last guitar player they auditioned. He brings a tiny little amp.. Ozz is in the control room drunk.. Randy just starts warming up.. playing riffs and solos... and Ozz wakes up from his stupor and is blown away by what he hears. The gtr player they originally wanted..the great Gary Moore.. turned down the gig and it was a good thing cause he was one of the best damn gtr players but wouldn't have fit with Ozz..but he heard and loved Randy too. George Lynch was the other gtr player in the running for the band when Gary Moore turned it down..but Randy came in and blew Ozzy's head off and got the gig after barely playing anything.. that's how great he was!! He didn't play badly at all..he played some stuff Ozz never heard and couldn't believe.. and Ozz hired him on the spot.

Ozzy is certainly culpable in Randy’s untimely death, but undeniably Randy Rhoad’s entirely avoidable tragic death falls much more on Sharon who was in way over her head as the bands manager, where really her only job was to keep Randy off that plane and safe. Randy was the real deal and that was even his given name, and not some invented stage moniker. There was ample warning that chaos was afoot, as other people like Don Airey had already went gone on joy rides before Randy got convinced to get on the cursed plane, in hindsight Sharon was lazy and derelict in her duties, lacking enough foresight logic common sense wisdom and reason to hear this borrowed plane fire up and take off, she had to get up at once and go investigate, then the ground the borrowed plane and hold onto the keys. Reportedly Richie Blackmore, took one look at the very same bus driver and saw his dark grim reaper vibes and aura and absolutely refused to ever have him drive his tour bus, calling in another driver immediately, all for Sharon miss these tells and hire this emotional coke monster as Ozzy’s bus driver / suicidal stunt pilot…8(

Aycock a few years before this crashed a helicopter in Dubai and killed one of Calhoun’s kids in the crash and Sharon knew all about beforehand. Calhoun owned the mansion the plane crashed into and the bus company for the tour, Mrs. Rhoads should had sued all of them because they all knew this knucklehead was a ticking timebomb. Tommy Aldridge after the crash claims he found the biggest bag of cocaine near the driver’s seat on the bus took it and threw it into the woods. He also said he witnessed Aycock reaching in that area many times during that last bus journey from Knoxville to Leesburg.
