As much as I like lcw, cheng long was controlling the whole race, with lcw remaining in touch but always just too far. Malaysian players were nervous finally, while Chinese players had more experience in the finals and key points in Olympic. Congratulations to Fu and Zhang, two legends
I watched this match live 4 years ago and my heart was pounding toward the end of the match. This is definitely the most intense Olympics final I've ever watched.
Agree, but his pair is also a 2time gold medalist, playing XD and MD on the same Olympic if I’m not mistaken…… now LeeYang/WangChiLin pair is joining their league :)
this is just so heartbreaking to watch. they could've won it and made history not just for themselves but also for their country because it is the first gold medal in olympics for malaysia.
I was rooting for both T.W.K/G.V.S and L.C.W (men single) to bring 2 gold medals for Malaysia. Would be proud of all ASEAN. But having these gentlemen lost in Finals were really painful.
I remember watching this match live during the night. I remember the anxiety when I thought China was going to lose. I remember two serve errors by the Malaysians that saved the game for the Chinese pair. I remember Tan Wee Kiong almost cried when they lost the last point. It's so unfortunate that the Malaysians could not make history that day. I couldn't even imagine their pressure at that moment. I'm happy that China got the gold medal. But kudos to the Malaysians for trying their best. This match is really unforgettable. Really glad that it finally got uploaded.
