Hey! I also suggested ‘Holy Wars’ a long time ago! Sometimes I’m in a Duran Duran kind of mood, sometimes I’m in a Meshuggah kind of mood lol. But I really do love this song, and the video cracks me up, so I thought y’all would enjoy it too 😆 I think you’re spot on about the lyrics, from what I’ve read. Thanks guys!! 😊✌🏽♥️🤘🏽😊
Phenomenal pick. I'm the same way. Depends on what mood I'm in at the moment. Thursday I was blasting septicflesh, yesterday I was jamming out to classic kiss, today? Who knows.
Wasn't expecting Meshuggah from you Shan but either way you put us on something fire. Your right, different moods for different music. Thank you for all your love and support over all these years Shan!!! 🙏🙏🙏
I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes I'm in a Tears for Fears kind of headspace, other times feeling more like Revocation! 😄Thanks for this one Shan!
Like Devin Townsend said in one of his songs: "at the end we all rip off meshuggah". Their influence on metal is so great but unknown to most non metalelitist. This is the music the musician you like listen to.
How was Meshuggah influencing the metal that I was listening to in the 80's and early 90's? And how were the musicians that I was listening to, during the same time period, listening to Meshuggah?? P.S. Music is art and art is subjective. Devin Townsend's musical opinion means about as much as yours or mine does. Like what you want to like...don't be a sheep.
@@codymoe4986 I said they had a great influence and not that they influenced every metalband in any era of time. And "don't be a sheep" for recititing an artist is way too political. And if is subjectiv why are you offended by my comment and have to tell my that how wrong i am. Don't need an answer we won't agree anyway
I seriously thank you for appreciating and mentioning that album...amazing $#!+..it easily became my most wore out cd and most-played ipod album..."Future Breed Machine" or whatever it's called is legit too...maybe it's destroy, erase, improve idk had a few shots
This is how all my non metalhead friends think i listen to my music lol. Most true metalheads listen to almost everything because we appreciate all types of music. Only genre i can never tolerate is country. Gets me angry yet this music calms me.
What a great song and great video! Recommendation; Meshuggah - Pravus (live). Absolutely crushing! I know you guys will love it. On RUclips - Meshuggah - Pravus (Live in Tokyo 2008) (UHD 4K).
The song neurotica off this album is basically a shuggah style numetal rap song with an almost faith no more flavor at times, except with that juicy chaosphere guitar and bass tones and I think yall would fw it. Edit: 11:02 thats the exact appeal of meshuggah right there for most of the fanbase
@@chrismcconnell1282 Meshuggah and ABBA exist on a different plane to Soilwork. They’re bands who shift the paradigm, who changed the game. And I like Soilwork
Fear factory, meshuggah, tool, cavelara conspiracy, dream theater, sevendust, O.s.i, korn, disturbed... wish I could listen to all this in one day! ....But that's what my playlist has boiled down too, in my mid age... and that's ok!
Neurotica, Corridor of Chameleons, Perpetual Black Second, Jens is almost rapping on these songs with how he extends those syllables. Groovy, proggy, chunky. Suffer In Truth is a straight up banger too.
Yeah, if I remember rightly, the song's about one of the cults that committed suicide en masse. Testament have a song called Children of the Next Level, which is about Heaven's Gate.
This is my second favorite album of theirs next to destroy erase improve. I was on 3 hits of cid the first time I heard chaosphere. It was amazing ! 🤘🏻😵💫🤘🏻
Don't know if anyone ever told you but Meshuggah is the Yiddish/Hebrew word meaning crazy Also gotta get to Future Breed Machine, Rational Gaze, and Break Those Bones Whose Sinews Gave It Motion
The ‘Moonies’ were the ones who gassed the subways in Japan with Sarin and apparently after the investigation, it was found that they had a huge amount of Sarin at their compound
If you guys do some more Meshuggah, it would fucking awesome if y'all did a double reaction to the live versions of Demiurge and Future Breed Machine from the bloodstock 2023 performance (ruclips.net/video/xtju8pwSGMA/видео.html). The sound quality and performance of the band itself is so high that its as sufficient as listening to the actual studio versions of the songs. They are the last two songs of set so they play back to back and they are both big Meshuggah songs that you guys have gotta hear. It really captures how amazing of a show Meshuggah puts on and the music is killer. They are in their 50s and still peaking as a band.
I ain't suprised a couple of hip hop cats are head banging to this groovy as fuck poly-metric metal. Guaranteed many of the bands of the Nu-Metal movement fucked with Meshuggah! Also, for any prog metal nerds in the comments, the dissonant clean parts Meshuggah are known for are heavily influenced by Allan Holdsworth, probably the most innovative guitarist of the 20th century!
It would be nice if meshuggah could at least add one two or three chaosphere songs (like Neurotica NMCC and mouth licking what u bled ) on their future SETLIST or at least 1 or two of whichever, just get a chaosphere on there
This band is probably the most heavily copied band of the last two decades, and nobody has even come close. Keep in mind, this shit came out in the late 90s

The entire Chaosphere album was way ahead of its time. Easily in the top 3 best Meshuggah albums, no doubt about it.

Their best song off of their best album. The heaviest thing around at the time. Excellence.
The song kick so much as I had to listen to it three times in a row.
Ohhh more Meshuggah! Me likey.
If you want more from them, I'd love you to cover Lethargica. Weight of the universe!
Meshuggah! 🤘 thanks for this!
Dare I say the greatest metal band ever?
Yes
Heaviest band on earth
