As many as 8 tornadoes occurred with this storm, most occurring over open county causing little damage. Two of the tornadoes were significant, rated EF2. The first EF2 occurred near Hawk Springs Wyoming impaling a tree branch into the side of a home, damaging small outbuildings,
knocking down utility poles, and hardwood trees. The second EF2 occurred near Scottsbluff, Terrytown and Gering Nebraska prompting a tornado emergency for the area. One home was badly damaged.

This is gonna sound goofy but your demeanor is more like a tornado hunter than a tornado chaser. You’re by far my favorite. No screaming and repeated “oh my god”s (even though that’s a completely normal reaction and probably what I’d do if I ever saw a live tornado). You’re calm and friendly and humble, and your sense of humor always catches me off guard but somehow fits right in. The whole ambience of your videos makes the tornados feel even more beautiful and eerie than they are naturally. And I love how you often explain what what’s happening. Those two guys and their pupper getting to meet you was so wholesome! Thanks for all you do!

Bob Ross of tornadoes is such a spot on description. He's like asmr tornado chacer.. such peace and calm in his presentation it's blissedly relaxing and captivating to see the tornados like that.

Hurricanes may be the most powerful storms on Earth, but tornadoes are definitely both the most terrifying and beautiful.
Hurricane can be extremely terrifying when you suddenly realize that thing totally obscuring your view is a huge massive mountain of seawater rapidly heading for you and there is no way you are going to outrun it or get out of its way.
Especially the CAT 5 Hurricanes known as Ian that devastated Florida

I live in Florida and I have been through hurricanes. Never been through a tornado, but they are the natural disaster that scare me the most
Oh hey we caught this storm on my University's storm chase. It was an amazing storm that, fortunately, for most of its lifespan stayed in less populated areas with the exceptions of Scottsbluff and Hawk Springs. We found an amazing hill southwest of Chugwater to watch the initial updrafts and chased it all the way to Scottsbluff.

Hank, idk if you’ll see this but if you do, I wanted to say your videos were some of the only reasons I kept myself pushing onward through my battle with depression and kept me going. Right now my depression is relapsing, and I find extreme comfort in your channel, and your passion with nature, love for animals, and fun personality and ability to make light of bad situations taught me to be happy with the little things life has to offer, and to try to keep a positive outlook on life. I truly love watching your travels. I want to go as far as to say your videos really do make a difference in struggling people’s lives, and even save some, like mine. I'm sure even Micky Mouse battled with depression at some time in his life. Nobody is immune to that, but it sounds like you've discovered a few things that can help you out and if I had anything to do with that at all, then world mission accomplished. The little creatures always give me a lift. Hang in there Midnight. The best is yet to come in SC.
Sorry to hear about your depression. I don't know if you have checked your Vitamin D levels but if you have not, it can make a world of difference in depression if it is at the right level. Cheers.

Hank’s videos are so relaxing and nice to watch compared to some other storm chasers. No overreacting, no over the top shouting, just tornadoes and nature
You can feel he really appreciates the beauty and awe of nature, but he's also incredibly good at expressing that, as if he gives us a little glimpse into what's going through his mind at the time.

i genuinely feel blessed for having caught a Hank video somewhat early.
in my culture, we highly revere the thunder, including tornados. seeing the respect you show to animals, people, and the storms put you up *high* on my list of favorite creators.

I know people often show appreciation for the narration and music, and that's well deserved. But it also appears you take a lot of care with the audio engineering too. The careful layering of ambient storm sounds and light commentary mixed over a time-lapse style video, it's non-intrusive and smooth. And that only happens with a lot of effort. I commend you Hank
This storm in Wyoming was truly remarkable! It literally had every shape a tornado could make. I caught 8 separate ones on this storm and can honestly say i dont think ill every see that again.

Hey Hank, did you hear about that giant EF4 tornado in Canada (Alberta, specifically)? When the time comes for you to make your tornado recap for this year, you should talk about it! I've also thought of asking you if you've ever considered coming up to Canada to chase (we don't get many significant tornadoes here, but there are good ones every now and then)

There are no much monstrous Twisters here, or in Europe generally (although an F3 may occur sometimes), but Waterspouts are more frequent in the Mediterranean shores!!!

I'm just going to say this. You are one of the few storm chasers I actively follow. You create wonderful narratives and you don't sensationalize and you treat them with respect. You behave as if you are watching something that could end someone's life and I appreciate that.

Western Nebraska, out in the panhandle, is gorgeous. Was recently at the Scottsbluff National Monument, and it is so beautiful out there.

That ghost tornado was hauntingly beautiful. Pun intended. It had a definite spooky element to it that had a different feel from other tornadoes.

I love your vids!! Alberta’s been getting quite a few tornadoes this season- maybe you’d like to chase here for a summer or so! It’s a smaller area (+ our neighbours to the East if you want ofc) and the scenery is relatively similar- grasslands and patches of forest. Plus, Banff is always a great option if you’re looking to get some of that nice (sometimes rather Smokey) mountain air :)
I’ve had very intense dreams of tornadoes my entire life. Not entirely sure as to why, but hey it’s a fascinating phenomenon in nature so I can’t complain.

Hank actually helps my severe anxiety about tornadoes in a way. He's just so measured and calm and in control. Like obviously they're still dangerous but he's got such a neutral, non panic inducing perspective on them.
