Hey Biffa! Watching you build cities in Skylines has been like following along on an epic novel, one chapter at a time. As we approach the final chapters of this book and prepare to open a new one, I can't help but feel a sense of anticipation. Your creativity, humor, and knack for traffic management have made this journey a joy to follow. May your coffee cup always be full, and your traffic forever flowing!
Hey Biffa the reason the curve tiles didn't show in the beginning, you had free-form option selected not the curve mode. I do it all the time lol. Thank you for all the great content! Happy to see where it goes from here.
i wish the devs would release an an ultimate City Skylines bundle that includes every single DLC, Content pack and radio as a final goodbye for city skylines 1
I discovered your channel earlier this year and have been slowly watching through all the different city playlists. Excited to finally be able to watch along with a new series! Also as an Ohioan, let me suggest Cincinnatea as a city name 😊
I've started playing CS around 4 years ago because I saw your videos... Thank you! And it's great to see one last vanilla build, much appreciated Biffa ❤
Might be a bit destructive but why not make the couplet wider (around 8 - 10 tiles) and have shops facing both roads with a path in between? or have the shops on the outside of the couplet (facing into the couplet) with a small/ narrow park running through the length of the couplet?
Thanks for making your last city vanilla - as a console player I usually watch your 'hugo theres' and mods with envy! I'm excited to see what additional functionality-tea is coming to the base game in CS2
Biffa, been watching and enjoying your content ever since the start! Seeing this is the last city in CS1 makes me feel bittersweet yet happy to know a new chapter is about to begin haha. Looking forward to what you create in the sequel!
Hey Biffa! Thanks for all the content, and for adding 'lane mathematics' into our vernacular. As for a city/district name, how about the equipment related for making tea, like, teapot town, kettle district, mug estate, etc 😊
How about "Vanilla Velvet Teaville" for a name. Also saw some recommend naming some of the districts after your past cities, which I think is a great idea!! Good luck and enjoy watching your series!! Look forward to seeing the outcome!
Loved the video Biffa! I’m excited to see what the city of (____________) will become. As this is the last city building series of CSL1, I want to say that you were one of the few people who inspired me to get this game and to make not just good looking cities, but functional ones too. You and many others have also inspired me to seek a degree in video game development and find a job in that industry. So, who knows, maybe by the time you make your last city in CSL2, I might be working on the 3rd one! Thank you for your work in our entertainment, I really appreciate it!
My suggestion for the new name of this final chapter is Bitteasweet Countinew - Tea related, Sad for having a last city in CS1, happy to experience the new CS2 - County, Continue & New morphed into Countinew as a symbol for the new beginning! Lovin' your videos!
I might've commented this before, but I'd like to thank you Biffa! Your videos are a source of relaxation for me - and sometime ago I was undegoing an operation and while I waited for the operation to start (and while I was being diagnosed etc.) and during the recovery, I found the best way for me to distraction was your videos. Thank you - I'm looking forward on the CS2 videos! ❤️
I think the name for the hotel chain should be called "The Hugo Inns". No longer needed in traffic management, Hugo has moved up to a greater enterprise. He needs to build a fortune, as when Cities: Skylines 2 comes around, he will need to move again to "The Hugo Retirement Homes" where he will live out the last days of his virtual existence.
I am so excited for this series! I love a good vanilla playthrough and this is a perfect way to enjoy this game one more time before we move on to something new :)
In case it's not been mentioned already about the new zoning. There is a known bug for left hand drive cites that the one-side only zone places the zone on the opposite side to that which is shown.
I don't know if you will see it but the reason you couldn't see the marks of the "10 blocks" when you were trying to do the rounding road is because you used the free road option...and then you switched to curved roads and it gave you the markings.
Yaay, new city! It's always so exciting to watch a new one grow. Especially in your narration and style. I really enjoy your videos so thank you for all the effort you have put into all of this!
Looking so forward to a vanilla series! I love creative placement of assets and such, but my favorite is vanilla because it takes me back to how we all started! By the way - I LOVE that you zoom in a little when things are small on the screen (like population, for example). That makes such a difference!
Love this final city. We have a place in Australia called Teewah (teawah for here) Beach. Beautiful beach location with great scenery and close to a holiday/ hotel village called Noosa. Looks like this place.
Because of it being the final city in CS1, and it's on a map that has been added to the game through the Hotel's DLC, I think that "Desteanea Finalé" might be a great name for it! It's a play on the words "Final Destiny", since it really is the Final Destiny/Destination for the game, plus it has that "exotic" ring to it that most vactation/hotel destinations try to portray. Oh, and the way you pronounce it is "Des-tea-nea, Fi-na-lee"!
I love this all-DLC playthrough, seeing what exactly you can do with all officially distributed content. A lot of people don't have them all or are catering to tgisr who don't but that means we don't see that scenario.
As my Vanilla non DLC let’s play comes to a near end I thought it would be fitting to join you on your last journey my Dear Biffa the very man that got me into playing cities Skylines! Enjoy your (not really ) final vanilla CS1 build Biffa it’s gonna be quite a ride
I'm already loving this series Biffa! 🤩 Looking forward to all the things you've learned during your Cities Skylines 1 career. Feels like a good send off for Cities Skylines 1
Can't wait to get stuck into what the vanilla game has to offer! City name I think 'Brewingham' or 'Sippingston' both Tea inspired as you Brew and Sip tea, and both have British inspiration aswell 😊 Brewingham from Birmingham and Sippingston from Kingston, maybe even 'Sippingston upon Thames' as you have the river flowing through the map
I was having a really rough day today, then I saw you'd uploaded and now after watching I feel much better! Thank you for consistently great content, I really appreciate everything you do!
Biffa mate, you and city planner plays have carried this game for me, providing hours of content to watch while i work and teaching me not only the game, but much about real life city infrasturcture. absolute legends, thank you very much and looking forward to seeing more content in CS2. How about Cozy CounTea as it's looking to be a cozy place to live and a play on tea cozy. much love from Canada
Hi Biffa. Just passing by. I own City Skyline that I discovered thanks to you and I play it sometimes, but I tend to watch and enjoy your videos more than playing the game myself. But more of anything else, I'll be forever grateful to you for introducing me to my favorite game, years ago, ONI.
@biffaplayscitiesskylines - I feel that the district around the rock should be called Dock Green (as Dixon lives there - Dixon of Dock Green 😊). Besides you can get dock leaves, which can be used for a form of tea.
Initially, I was going to say that CPP would get on you about the water pipe placement. But by the end of the video, there were so many fires that CPP would feel right at home
I think Hugoslavia is a GREAT name for a city, but someone suggested Finalitea as the name for this city, which is better for your last CS1 city. Hugoslavia could always be used in the future for a CS2 city!
Biffa I was thinking about the bridge you built where all the people come into the town. At some point it's gonna start getting busy with traffic and the current design you have you might want to switch out to two one-way roads instead since it should work better with the vanilla set up in the game. Or created into a roundabout to control the flow of traffic better.
Your traffic fix videos really got me into playing Cities. Thanks for all your amazing content and looking forward to seeing what the future holds with CS2.
Biffa! At 17:50 when you were trying to figure out why it wasn't showing the length lines is because you were on freeform instead of curved. You clicked off to add the straight paths and then clicked curved thus showing the lines again. Just figured Id help you get some sleep because I know that has been weighing on you like it has me. ;) great content as always my man! Thanks for all that you do and provide!
A few things to prevent Horky Borky Traffic.. works well with Vanilla and Mods; Place Turnabouts and short Dead end Roads for People to do U-Turns so they don't end up circling the National Highway looking for a spot to U-bolt (good places are at either end of exits to Traffic spawning Buildings and before/after long segments of roads without intersections). Add more routes and shorter routes for the offending Traffic to take.. more options will spread the Traffic.. Fewer options will Bottle the Traffic up.
i am relatively new to CS1 but i just wanted to let my comment here: i just found out you can set the water, electric percentage with the mousewheel, its easier then dragging the slider :D
Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but the reason you had that weird thing with the rounded road tool around 18:08 was because you were using the zig-zag tool instead, you just didn't notice it and when it finally worked it's cuz you selected the rounded road tool correctly again
One thing you can do to get the shops on both sides of that little commercial island is zoning 2x4 (or 2x2) staggered on one side, wait until it fills up, then do the same on the other side. It looks cool, I think.
I always love the large rocks in my cities and always try to build around them. Give the city some personality rather than just one giant empty valley.

i am so excited for cities skylines 2, I bought a new computer recently too so I can play citiy skylines with all the amazing addons, great through back of doing a clean modless run, shoutout to console crew
I don't have a PS5 so I won't be able to play cs2. So I probably won't watch what magic you create. But it's been a joy to watch you these past few years.
Nice to see that CS1 is finally finished. Now I just gotta save up some money for all the dlc that I haven't gotten yet (probably gonna take me another year or two lol) and then I'll finally be able to start playing it properly.
Hey Biffa, can't wait to see how this city develops! A few suggestions, one perhaps a little obscure: Coup Tea Grace, Hammer-Tea Falls (Inspired by the Queen Song)
Hi Biffa🙂 for the highway and road infastructure I recommend you make a ringway and 4 lanes only and bike infastructure everywhere (this is basically amsterdam😅)
Sigh, I will now start a new city myself since you gave me loads of ideas!! I installed the 25 tile mod and in my current city, planning went out the window
I love this game and will play it even after CS2 comes out. Played it in my laptop before switching to the Switch. Just don't want to stress out my laptop anymore and i kinda like Vanilla
Great video! I'd love to see the residential areas with the bendy roads and the bit with the grid connected with a footpath or pedestrian road, that's really far for people to walk !
Great build...lots of new things with vanilla build (finally :) ). Can't wait next episode....also I'm following New Tealand build from the beginning. Keep going!!!
Love the vanilla city builds as I play on console since my PC can barely run this game. City name could be Vanitea Villas. Kind of ropes in the new resort aspect 😁
Biffa excited for the final vanilla build! In the Pacific Northwest in America, we call earl gray tea with vanilla and milk a London Fog. Since this a vanilla build it could be a cute play on words to call this City a Tea-don Fog, or some variation of the name.
Thank you for all the videos you have made in the first Cities Skylines game, I have loved every minute of it and it is sad to see this to be your final city build but I am looking forward to seeing the second Cities Skylines game and all the tea related puns in any new build 😆
Great layout with the roads for entering the City ! Looks like a great little town insted of just plopping everything down to get started. Realy nice Biffa !
Actually, one can play with taxes a bit in CS1 too… but there is only limited time since buildings levels up quite fast. Buildings on the 1 level can manage 14%, on the 2 level 13% and 3+ is that standard of 12%. This also means that specialized zoning districts which has only 1 level buildings (spec zoned industry, tourist/leisure commercial, it cluster offices) can handle taxes 13-14% without complaining. I think that is the reason why we have +-2% tax policies in the game… I think knowing this can be bit helpful to get little bit more income in the early game… but it really does not have much impact in the late game :)
Since it's the last CS1 city, how about Finali-Tea
I vote for this.
Damn that's a good one
Third on this one. Perfect pun!
Exactly what i was thinking
Finali-tea town
I always love the cinematic ended when there are fires burning out of control.
was about to comment the same thing.
Hey Biffa! Excitead about the new city. For the names, you could name the districts after all your past cities as a nod to your CS1 history :D
Nice idea 💡 👌

Actually, one can play with taxes a bit in CS1 too… but there is only limited time since buildings levels up quite fast. Buildings on the 1 level can manage 14%, on the 2 level 13% and 3+ is that standard of 12%.
This also means that specialized zoning districts which has only 1 level buildings (spec zoned industry, tourist/leisure commercial, it cluster offices) can handle taxes 13-14% without complaining. I think that is the reason why we have +-2% tax policies in the game…
I think knowing this can be bit helpful to get little bit more income in the early game… but it really does not have much impact in the late game :)
As one journey ends, i can't wait to see what you do in CS2! Got a cup of tea at the ready.
