    In this video Eric and I talk about how effective the Dirty Jigs Finesse Jigs is for Largemouth Bass. We are fishing pre spawn right now but the Swim Jig is a great bait to use all season long. Dirty Jigs Finesse Jigs are one of my favorite swim jigs on the market. I have been using them for years and so I thought it would be great to make a video about it.
    I like the Chat/White Swimjigs for smallmouth the most. For largemouth I will use a black/blue, green pumkin and some type of bluegill/perch combo. Also all white works really well. Experiment with your retrieve as well. Sometimes they want a straight retrieve some days you need to work that swim jig real slow through the vegetation in order to get a bite.

    So this was a good video about how swim jig catches fish.
    but it would have been nice to learn how to actually catch a fish with a swim jig i.e. Do I swim it fast in warm water , fish it slow in cold water, do you lift it up off the bottom, do you drag on the bottom, all of those things would have been nice to know in terms of how you caught those bigger fish.
    I really didn't learn anything except for the fact that Epic Eric says swim jigs catch fish in all types of conditions and That he likes holding the fish up in the air while talking to the camera.

      Here's a few more details for you on the Swimjig techniques. In submerged grass, which is where I love to fish a swimjig, I want to always have that jig ticking the grass, so slow down your retrieve until you contact the grass. If the jig picks up any grass, you can give your rod tip some quick snaps (you can see me doing this in the video) and sometimes those quick snaps will trigger a bite (which happened in the video). Hope that helps. And you know it, when I catch a good bass, I love showing it off bro! Tight Lines

    That appears to be before bass season and fish are bedding soon. Dirty jigs are good but you could throw almost anything that time of year.

    What is go to weight for these finesse swimjigs? Thanks.

    • @epiceric1202
      @epiceric1202 5 лет назад +1

      Day in and day out, the 3/8 oz for me but if the grass is thick, I'll throw a 1/4 oz. I'm fishing shallow grass in 3-5 foot of water most of the time...

      7' 1" 853C JWR Extra Fast Med Heavy. I will say that the NRX actions are lighter than most other rod makers.
