My friend has an 89 LX 5.0 stock block top end bulit up and full bolt ons gears and suspension. With drag radials and a 100 shot of nitrous he runs 10 flat all day. His entire car, mods and all including what he paid for it is under $15,000. Registered on road and passes inspection. Sorry but that's embarrassing getting beat by an old ass car that cheap. It's the weight people. These new Mopars are amazing machines but they need to go on a diet. And for the price they should be faster.

I did the math and for that 30k all you get is a high 9 1/4 mile pos with an 80's plastic interior and all the maintenance fees that come along with owning a race car. For 80k you get a high 9 1/4 mile car with all the modern amenities of a luxury car plus a full factory warranty and you don't need to pull it to the track on a trailer.

Also remember that the maintenance costs on a built race car can reach upwards of 100k easy after a couple of rebuilds.
