I’m overwhelmed and stressed watching you work.
I like that you show the mistakes that you make. It makes it easier for people to understand where they can go wrong.
Keep up the good work Mike. Can’t wait to see the Sky on the road & the track.
Hi Mike, could you please Show a Video, where you passed the cables through the Firewall into the interior.
Would very much appreciate if you could do so.
Krgds from Germany ;)
Hi Mike I just got my gauge pod from ddm works I'm going to install 2 gauges from auto meter oil pressure where the oil goes rite to the gauge and water temp for the engine to negate the dummy lights thanks for posting these videos it makes it so much easier to see it done by someone else first so I know what I'm getting into. Again let me know when you need shrink tube have a good one brother👍
That's great. I'm glad the video is able to help a bit. I'd love to see how yours looks when they're done.
Great job Mike. What about sealing around the hole in the side of the fuse box? Love the look of the gauges. The butt splices can be temperamental so soldering is a better way to go.
Thanks Daryl. I'm glad you liked it. The hole in the fuse box is pretty small and the wire takes up most of the space, but that's probably a good idea you have just in case. Thanks. And yes, I was hoping those butt splices would have worked, but in the long run, I'm sure the soldering was the better way to go.
Can these boost gauge fit for a 2009 bmw 7 series ? If not do you know if an Aem boost gauge can work for my twin turbo V8 ?
This gauge should work with any car as long as you have a bung hole in the exhaust manifold for the air/fuel ratio gauge and a way to get boost measurements from a vacuum line.
As far as fitting physically, you'll have to check the dimensions of the gauge with the holes you have for them.
Mike where did you buy that it would also work for manual engine oil pressure and engine temp gauges as well
The gauge pod I got from DDMWorks. The gauges from Amazon. Links are in the video description. :)
Hey Mike, what kind of tools will I need to access the battery in case it ever dies on me?
I actually have a video on changing the battery. Some people like me go through the fender and others go through the wheel well. Here's a link to the video. ruclips.net/video/6uQfot1Ju6Y/видео.html
Mike, maybe I missed something in the video but where do the gauges obtain their signal? You've showed us how you ran power to them but does the control signal come from the ECM or somewhere else?
Hi Leonard. If you watch an earlier video here ruclips.net/video/PHyLrGCpQ60/видео.html at around 11:30 I talk about where the guage wires get hooked up. In general, the air/fuel gauge is hooked up to a wideband sensor that is in the exhaust manifold (earlier in that video I show that), and the boost gauge is hooked up to one of the vacuum lines. However, you can somehow tap into the brake boost line and use that. Unfortunately I didn't do that but if you ask anyone on the Facebook groups, I'm sure they can explain how.
Also since I work for the auto industry I can get every size of electronic shrink tube available wish I would have known I could have hooked you up
Well damn . But now I know :)

Are these gauges visible in full sunlight with the top down?
Yes they are. Very easy to see.
@@MikesHouseOfMods thanks for the reply!
