Come on guys, let’s move on from all these negative questions and sarcastic jokes for Primoz. You’ve just touched on his incredible trajectory and all he has achieved. Every cyclist has accidents, it’s part of the sport.
I love the fact that he’s gone from having a visma stick up his a** to now being super relaxed and way more open. He looks like he’s enjoying his racing, and he deserves it.

Love this interview. I started following road cycling more seriously around 10 years ago and Lotto-Jumbo was the my favorite team, because they were hard working underdogs with no money (and rode Bianchis :P ). Imagine my hapiness when Roglič joined them and started winning big time. Who could ever know then what big things were to come for slovenian cycling? Anyway, Primož already secured a very special place in many hearts and he still keeps on inspiring people. Maybe 2025 will be the year when he has a lot of luck and competitors have a bit less of it :P Either way, all cards are gonan be mixed again and it's gonna be one hell of a season, I'm sure.

Best interview questions ever... Not the same old, same old. You get deeper... Nice work. Interestingly, despite what GCN commentators and others always say, I have never considered him to have had bad luck in tours. I think he's a guy that goes out and gives 200% all the time, and that is what matters to him... That's what I do on my bike every time I ride around my city. At the end I look at Strava, and think well, I did my best. Give it all, and don't look back... Primoz is relatable for the oldish, everyday cyclist that could only dream of being in the elite class.

He is ultimately having a conversation with his fans and he knows he will get those questions, or maybe not as it is tempting for interviewers to toss lame softball questions. And sports give its players and fans lots of life lessons and that was a big one for Primoz, his humiliating defeat in that floppy helmet and O the pain of failure, we can all relate, yet there is the joy of a comeback and Primoz is living that.

@Cycleplayer117 O I'm right there with you, no Tour defeat had been so heartbreaking since Laurent Fignoun's eight-second loss to Greg LeMond in '89 and it was a time trial, too. The tears of a mighty two-time Tour champion over his defeat showed us the cost of his miscues, such as no aero bars, in that duel with his greatest rival and former teammate. And I was happy for Greg, while hurting for the great Frenchman who had congratulated Greg on a stage win just a few days earlier, true sportsmanship.

The move to Bora was a reaction to the decision to let Kuss win the Vuelta imo. In retrospect the right move! And a lesson for Visma: even within a team, the winner must be determined under competitive conditions. And this was likely not the case after stage 17 and the Angliru ascent. Vingegaard could have closed the 8 second gap.

Top riders used to help others in the Team to win in prep for the major races. I think a lot of crashes happen at the front of the bunch these days. The misnomer that not being in the front is dangerous must be realised. If you're a top GC Guy then winning the small races aren't that important. The Team mates can go for those wins. Someone like Primoz can help Hindley win smaller races by doing a bit of work on the front earlier and then peel off. The competition at the front is high at every race now so being at the pointy end, competing for space is not worth the risks. Top riders have to learn this.
